I am a chess noob so the answer may be obvious, but can someone explain to me why at around 27:00, NL never even considered doing Qxb2? I would think that it's a somewhat strong move since it cannot be easily reciprocated. The only good response to it that I can see is castling, which was always a possibility anyway.

Strange question, at 23:45, NL didn't want to move his queen to B6 because of the potential of the enemy knight moving to A4.
If that played out and then NL moved his bishop to F2 and the king moved to E2 and NL moved his queen to E3, is that Check Mate. Not saying NL missed it, I was looking at the board for a long time before I saw it, I am just wondering if I that is actually Mate.

    You play the Caro-Kann?! Subscribed.
Solid, very easy to understand opening, and very comfortable to play for black.
My go-to move when I want to be safe.

That trade sequence was awesome, it won you a pawn and deflated their attack at the same time!

The rook takes followed by the fork was also pretty good. Keep it up!

Anybody else get triggered @ 38:18 when chat said: Beautiful sequence but accomplished nothing.
That was both exciting and game winning chess NL. I loved it.

4:55 This is where I would just take the pawn with the queen. Maybe that's why my rating has been stagnant for the last however many years.
