- The new generation Hyundai Verna was launched in India just a few months back and it has already been creating ripples in its segment, by selling in exceptionally well numbers and getting a very positive response from buyers. The new Hyundai Verna is an improved all-rounder and this is one executive sedan which is hard to fault.
Hyundai is offering 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines with the new Verna and both the engines are offered with a choice of manual as well as automatic gearboxes. The sedan also comes with some noteworthy features like sunroof, ventilated front seats, six airbags, keyless-go with push button start, ABS, smart trunk, Hyundai Auto Link app, touchscreen Arkamys infotainment system and a lot more.

Awesome guys! Everything well explained! Maybe you should have mentioned about the 6 airbags (guess it's only in top end) and auto sensing door and window along with projector fog lamps, but overall a big like for the review!

He mentioned he is driving a diesel verna, but the SX+ Autimatic diesel doesn't come with ventilated seats and smart trunk features even sx(0) diesel with the manual doesnt get it, ventilated seats and smart trunk only with the SX(O) petrol...

A nice video. The Verna is indeed feature loaded and I too would pick one if I were in market for a car of this segment. The Honda City has pathetic quality now and the other cars are too old.

supercharged petrolhead yes i have already booked the sx variant, the sx(o) comes at a premium of 2 lakhs over the sx variant which offers some good extra features but I feel one would be quite satisfied with the sx variant including me.
Shreyas Maheswari for 2 lakhs extra u just get sunroof, ventilated seats, auto door(boot) open and 6 airbags.. But the sx makes more sense as compared to the sx(0) coz 2 lakhs is a lot of money 💵.

I HAVE 2018 VERNA SX PETROL ....ACTUAL CITY MILEAGE IS 6 -8 KM/L .....i was expecting atleast 11 -12 ..dissapointed with mileage

Yeahhh...that Verna is a pretty good choice...I would go for it.
The verna is just a typical Hyundai where it looks good offers more feature and is refined too. But on a drivers point of view if u drive a Honda petrol and a Hyundai car u can really feel the difference. The Honda handles far better and the engine is superb plus the breaks and the steering feel is amazing.

How is it as a driver's car, as in does the steering offer feedback for a change?
Are the suspension or brakes any good?
Is the torque converter auto nearly as good as the DSG on the rapid or the vento?

Yes, the ventilated seats work well.
Steering offers decent feel but not a driver's car.
Suspension is good, so are the brakes.
Torque converter not in the league of the DSG.
The petrol is slower.

You didn't even tell anything about automatic diesel verna drive. It was all very basic and acting. Its different and good but at least tell about cars in detail. I watched it for diesel AT review but lil disappointed... :(
