That is awesome! Glad yall made the trip. I've been to Fort Davis several times over the past decade or so and love it every time. The State Park, along with the surrounding area is such a great part of the state.
That's awesome. And great to hear! I LOVE the Davis Mountains and the Fort Davis area. I really enjoyed the hike up to Limpia Creek Vista and the campsites. I'm glad you did as well.
Not my finest moment. But I'm glad it worked out. First thing I did when putting up my gear was to put that pole back in with the other. Great hiking with you again!
I've been near there in the past when my kids were young, now they're adults. Hope to get to the area you are showing and hopefully it is not too much of an incline. Thanks for sharing this with us ...
Love the footage. Wish I could have been there. I'm hoping to have healed up enough to hit the Texas EPIC peaks all in one grand weekend come spring. The Davis Mountains look amazing, especially with that low fog.
Travis was telling me something about that. That'll be an awesome trip. Should make for a great video. Wish you could have made it. We'll have to get together for some other trip soon.
This is a great hike! Done it several times. Overlooks Prude Ranch early on....great summer camp for kiddos. Ya'll need to do Casa Grande in BBNP!! A bit of a scramble but well worth it.
Headed to BB in several weeks. I'm looking forward to summiting a few peaks. Not sure I'll make Casa Grande on this trip but I'm hoping to make it to Big Bend multiple times this year.
Great video Cameron. I really like the field of view you did your video in. My Sony made everything look so far away. I really enjoyed watching "AND really enjoyed being there with everyone". I can't wait for the next one. Don't forget I owe you breakfast ✌
Great video Cameron! It was nice sharing the trail with you, amigo. I appreciate you for starting this tradition & happy to participate. Looking forward to the next one! 😀👍
Really glad you (and I) could make it. It was nice to meet you. I enjoyed getting to hang out a bit. We'll have to get together for a longer trip out West in 2024.
We missed you on day 1, but I’m glad you made it out on day 2. You’re a true dedicated TX backpacker! I agree that the group has an amazing core that has formed, it’s still a little unreal to me how UA-cam has allowed us all to connect in the outdoors. It was great to see another video from you, I particularly enjoyed the ending slideshow and the shot of all the cottonwood leaves on the ground. Next year I’ll make it a point to not bring up the rear…..who am I kidding, you know I’ll be back there haha!
What?! I missed this?! I went to Colorado Bend State Park this past weekend, and just got back. I totally would have changed plans to hang with y'all! Put me on the list for next year.
@@CameronHall88 Overall, it was nice to finally see for myself what all the hype is about Gorman Falls. They didn't disappoint. Going to ground for my hammock and dealing with mosquitos at my campsite was a challenge I didn't know I needed. Haha!

You guys inspired me to visit this park and my daughter and I had a great trip. Thanks!

@@CameronHall88 you're welcome
Thank you for inspiring my daughter and I to do this hike last month, was a great park, albeit cold at night in March!

Excellent, Cameron!
I had to chuckle again at your cholla improv on the Tarptent. It’s a classic.✌️

This trail never felt steep, although it does gain around 700-800 feet overall. It's such a great area. I love the Davis Mountains.

@@CameronHall88 awesome! Craig is still coughing and I’m still sniffing. Lol soon hopefully!!
Great video! Everyone has slightly different takes! So cool!
Thanks. It was great to see yall again. We need to get together sometime before next year's meetup for a short backpacking trip in North Texas.
