I’ll be 60 year’s young this summer! Yes this works! I bought a pair of your lashes daddy’s girl! No matter what glue I used it just wouldn’t stick! So I called my daughter who wears lashes daily, she told me to cut them! I cut them in half (I have to buy size small for glass frames) it worked and they stay on! Love your lashes! Thank you and god bless🙏🙏🙏

Another wonderful thing I have learned is when doing your brows, when doing the tail, draw the tail outwards towards your hairline instead of down. I find this most helpful on days I don't wear eyeshadow or eyeliner because I don't have time. Just that technique and some mascara on the top lash line make all the difference. I get compliments on my eyes all the time and they are not large or a special color.

As an older redhead, with super pale lashes, I don’t like to line my eyes into the inner corner with the darker shade, so I use a dark shade on the outer 1/3-1/2, and then use a lighter brown on the inner part of the lash line, blending as they overlap. It’s defining without feeling heavy or looking too harsh and aging.
    Love your suggestions, Zabrena ❤

As one with drooping aging and hooded eye, I find that tight-lining my upper water line is the best thing as I really can not create a wing - it cuts off and looks very messy! I use very dark brown or very dark plum (I have Hazel green eyes) and that not only help with defining the upper lash line to create a lift but also brings out the colour of my eyes 🤩 Thank you for the great videos Zabrena 😍🥰

Amazing tips! 2 things I do. 1) I have eyes that are very down turned and can look very Clara Bow, so sometimes I lean in to that 20s look. 2) but when I want something more modern and want a bit of a winged eyeliner, I stop the eyeliner just short of the end, just 1 or 2 mm from the end, and do the wing from that point. But I love love love doing that concealer trick! I've done that for a while. It's so great. Apparently a similar trick was used on Marilyn Monroe... which did you do a video on her makeup? I feel like you may have.

Awesome video and great tips. I have very hooded and more mature eyes. I put the outer V color on the inner V. Then my lid shade goes out to the outer V. I will use a brighter complimentary eye liner pencil on the water line and a darker color to the right line. If I do a wing; I go from the lower lash line swept up so the wing starts lower and it makes the eye appear to sweep upwards. I love using eyeshadow for liner as well.

I love using eyeshadow for everyday winged eyeliner!
But for everyday, for my eyeshape and preferences, angled eyeshadow brushes are not thin enough, even if it is a $23-$27 Mac brush.
What I found works best for really precise, thin eyeliner is an angled nail applicator brush!! I came across one for $1.50 at the Jp dollar-ish store Daiso. After testing it out, I found it amazing how thin the edge is, just like fine eyeliner pen tips! So I got another brush to keep at work, and when they restocked, I got some for my friends. 😆 For those who don't have a Daiso or if their dollar store doesn't carry this kind of brush, Amazon seems to have ones from $6 - $14 and some look really fun and blingy. 💖🖌️✨
As for investing in good tools, as someone who has semi-hooded lids, smaller brushes are a game changer for eyeshadow application. But in physical stores, except for Morphe, most companies that make brushes (Real Techniques, Eco Tools, those small brands that make cheap brushes, etc.) do not make their brushes small enough. Morphe has the right shapes, but their brush quality and durabilty seem so-so....
My fav company for smaller brushes is Sigma. They have all the precise shapes u need and the quality is really there.
The brush I use the most is the dual E38/E54 one that comes in the palettes. The E54 is versatile for precise placement of mattes or picking up shimmers and the E38 is a good blending brush for neutral shades. If u like grungy shades, I'd just pick up the Untamed palette bc it seems to be permanently $29, which is cheaper than just buying the individual brushes, not even considering the shadows. I also love the form factor - I don't have to search for the other brush and can't lose it bc they're connected. If Sigma sold the dual on its own, I would buy it (which is actually why I bought Untamed, bc I already had a dual E38/E54 from another palette, lol).
For controlling color or darker shades with more precise blending or placement, I always recommend the eyebrushes in the Katie Enos eye set (not the face set, bc there's that too). Sets don't go on sale, but the links to the individual brushes are there (E25, E27, E30, E33, E42) and once in a blue moon there are 30% brush sales or BOGO.
Of the set, I only bought the last 4. I use the E33 and E42 the most bc I need them for precise blending. The E30 pencil brush is so soft on the undereye and gets right into that little outer triangle where ur top and bottom lid meet. I hardly use the E27, but it is a great precise blending brush for colorful transition shades when the E38 is too large and the E33 is too precise.
Anyway, I hope my other semi-hooded and hooded peeps find this useful.

Hi Zabrena, which do you think is best for applying concealer to older eyes. Beauty sponge, fingers or a concealer brush? Which gives the best smooth coverage with less creases. Plus the one concealer you would consider the best. I get creases and if my concealer is to creamy it will make my eyeshadow or eyeliner streak down into my dark circles. Thank you for all the amazing videos you put out for us. 💕

Hello dear. I have been following your eye shadow techniques and applying them since I don't know when. I have seen your journey with your kids, the channel growing and the death of your dad among many other significant events. I just want to say thank you and a warm hug to you. I know having kids and being a mom to young kids takes up a lot of energy but don't forget to take care of yourself. Today you look tired. I hope everything is ok. Love Love

I'd love to try false lashes, but I lose my lashes so easily. I do have a great serum that I use to regrow them..but I'm scared using false lashes will pull my scarce lashes out.

Every time I try to do eyeshadow on the outer part of my eye, I end up looking like I 1. didn't get enough sleep or 2. Got punched in the eye. No matter how much I blend it never looks right . I think my face just hates makeup

When applying eyeliner stop at the center of your pupils this gives a look of more open eyes and lift.

Hiya Jessica! Thanks for asking! I'm non-denominational, I just believe every word of the Bible literally and whole-heartedly, everything we need is there! :)

I see how God connects us and teaches us similar lessons in season... I have been learning the same lesson from the Holy Spirit last year... our words have power! Speaking of which, you don't have "ageing" eyes - Moses had neither his sight dimmed nor strength abated for his whole life. I claim that truth in my life in Jesus name !!

I recently went from drug store readers to full on glasses so I feel my ( hooded, droopy) eyes are more invisible than before and as much as I love makeup and wear it, there’s not much difference behind those lenses!!

I understand the whole makeup and glasses thing! I switched to a bit of a larger frame so my eye makeup would show better. It took a while to find one I liked but I was determined! I hope it works out for you !

Long time glasses wearer too. I've found that using French style make up, like Angela van Rose here on youtube, looks nice. Plus, if I want to use a bold lip color, it doesn't distract. The other comment about larger frames is good. For me, I like thin frames on top without the frame on the bottom. Then the frames don't eat up as much real estate on my face.
