Man even after all these years Dragon age origins is still an amazing game to play
Hey Joji haha good one
Yea it's great playing inquisition now, it's a good game but origins just had the perfect story the perfect atmosphere it was an awesome game I felt personal connections to the characters
Facts. And I use a reshade mod so the game looks much better
@@Mystra do you remember its name?
@@Gabrielito300 sorry no, if my PC didn't break I could check. But it had a blue colour theme going on, I remember that
i honestly think she in love with teagin. she's always with him.
thats some great breakdancing at the beginning
Now it is only right to fuck with the succubus.
I just don't like how the game didn't punish you for going to get the mages instead. So it paints this dire straits picture that you need to make a decision asap and if you do, the game sort of taunts you like "Oh the correct answer was there all along!"
Like make it so that Teagan dies or Isolde even if you go all the way to the Circle.
Being able to leave at get help from the circle is such a cop out. Without that choice, you would have to ask yourself whether blood magic is always wrong, even if it means the death of a child, or if intention and consequence can justify the use of evil for good.
I agree, I remember thinking about it in my first playthrough.
I like this game, but so many of the choices come down to either the objective better choice, or the sadistic choice, which, as far as I’m concerned, is no choice at all.
You can skip to 5:48 to get to the meat of the matter :)
xLetalis hi:)
can i get to the meat of your matter?
In my opinion this is the good option killing isolde to spare Connor because I was honestly sick of her from the start
fair enough ;]
I hated her the moment she opened her mouth, I could just tell she was dodgy. It doesn’t help I hate the Orlais accent, it’s so annoying.
for real she's a terrible person, not a shred of remorse for anything she's done. at least she was willing to give her life for her son but even then that was an act of selfishness since it was her son. she had no hesitation selling out teagan or anyone else.
As much as I hate her, killing Isolde feels like the wrong option from an objective standpoint.
Let us pretend that we don't know how the game would turn out.
Sacrificing Isolde merely gives us an opportunity, but it does not guarantee that Connor can be saved. In the worst case scenario, we would lose Isolde _and_ Connor _and_ whoever we sent to the Fade.
On the other hand, killing Connor is a sure way method to end the demon thread.
Both options came with the cost of a life, but Option B has fewer casualties.
@@xenon8117 Yeah. I actually didn't mind her Orlais accent at first, but considering how she spends 80% screaming at people and making excuses it gets super old....
I soooo wanted to do this. But....i wasn't about to let the kid live with the guilt of his mother's death on top of all the others. It would've destroyed him. Also, realistically, i never saw any way the arl would help me if i did this. Besides, its not like the kid could do much sealed away in the upper floor with no more dead to serve him. A few floating objects never hurt anyone.
I always wondered why they couldn't use the blood of those guards you killed when you first meet Connor, didn't Orsino used dead mages corpses to fuel his own blood magic spell at the end?
Tegan rocking those jazz hands, though
6:28 Meredith Stannard TRIGGERED!
0:00 Nobody could dance like him.. Not even Mick..
Why not use the blood of several people to enter the fade? This way no one dies
good question :)
bc they all have to be willing? or connected to the boy in some way
It sounds like maybe there specifically needed to be a sacrifice, not just a certain amount of blood. Maybe.
I actually did this in my first playthrough because I thought that if I leave to find mages, Connor will attack village again. Alistair was super pissed. :D
Hardened Alistair with full persuade will quickly be less mad and agreeable over what you had done.
@@pamjarvis8653 The thing is I went to Redcliffe immediately after Lothering as Alistair himself recommended me. So there wasn´t much opportunity to gain approvel with him.
Most definitely unharden and low friendship Alistair is very powerful mad Alistair to behold. It is kinda shocking to see for first time after his humorous , sad and lay back self that you had only seen since it's more powerful upset than he had shown over Duncan's death in early game time.
0:42 when your child starts asking how babies are mad
please, please remaster this game!
i take this choice most of the time because it's the most realistic, and also connor dies in inquisition anyways regardless of what you pick.
Connor only dies when you get sucked into alternate future where corepheus won Connor is alive and will in the normal timeline though
The most realistic in any case is to kill Connor instead of using Blood Magic.
Sacrifice her, go to the fade, make a deal with the demon so the demon can come back later anyways.
Lol I did that on the first playtrough
While I didn’t do that in my first playthrough, I made that my canon in Dragon Age Keep so I could make it obvious that my canon warden became a blood mage
is there a cutscene that involves morrigan doing the blood ritual if you leave jowan in the prison?
hm i'm not sure :O
@@xLetalis I heard she brings it up if he was left in the cell.
You chose... wisely. :)
I just kill Isolde because I don't like her at all and Redcliffe could do without her stupidity. Not to mention that lore wise going to the circle doesn't make any sense since literally nothing (considering Teagan and Isolde are useless in stopping Connor) is stopping the demon from attacking and realistically once you come back Redcliffe should be destroyed since you left for at least 2 days
The woman risked a whole village by letting an untrained child play with magic (in the Circle we have other mages and the templars), then when said child gets possessed by a sadistic demon she believes that standing aside and begging would solve the problem and as a consequence gets people killed or traumatized (who knows how many parents lost their child or the other way around).
2:17.
Why not use two or more people or is that against the rules or something
This. This is what bothers me when drama is valued more than pure logic. Like Anne Rice's vampires who supposedly have to consume enough blood every night to kill a person.. why not just feed from 2 or 3 for christ's sake. At least here you can say that the ritual demands the blood of one individual, for purity or whatever, but it still bugs me
Obi-Wan Kenobi Or why can’t we sacrifice Jowan instead, allowing for his redemption instead of being executed later? I mean doesn’t Morrigan know all types of blood magic rituals anyway? And if not can’t Jowan teach her? Plot holes but the game is still amazing.
The ritual here requires the entire life force of someone. I think that means the total amount of blood someone has. Also, who else besides Isolde would be willing to offer their blood? Teagan? Would they survive if you halved their blood to get enough amount equal to one person?
It doesn’t bother me here because there are enough logical reasons why it would have to be from one person.
Also, does it have to be human sacrifice? Can't they, I dunno, maybe "sacrifice" cattle that's scheduled for slaughter anyway? Lol
A lot of life energy. Couldn’t several people have given a portion of life energy, equivalent to one person? They did that in the 90’s X-men animated series
hi Can you tell us what kind of mods are you using for Dragon Age? I would like to start a new campign but with mods this time. Thanks for your answer
there's a long list on my discord
Next time maybe you could make a vid where you exploring the Black city in the fade😄
That’d be nice, in fact everybody wonder what it looks like up close
I thought as a mage one can enter the fade alone. There was no blood magic involved in the Harrowing quest.
yes you can
@@xLetalis That's a weird inconsistency then. Oh well game still great.
@@Mystra you can still choose not to do it
A mage can enter the fade, yes, in their dreams. The difference with ordinary people is that they are aware when they do.
Entering the fade in the harrowing and here is different. You enter fully aware.
The harrowing is done with lyrium and other mages, just like what you could do here if you choose to go to the circle to get help from the mages instead of going with the blood sacrifice.
@@yvesobeal7699 Thanks
Wait... is this supposed to be an evil choice (since it's on your channel)? I thought this was the right one, never tried going to the circle I figured by the time I got back who knows what'd happen, like leaving the town to be slaughtered. Oh well, as a german I feel at home sacrificing french sounding chicks for some dark ritual ;)
:D Yeah it's the german in you! You actually have a point about going all the way to the circle and back. Even though nothing actually happens, it could be that things actually get worse
lol I didn't know you could go back and get help from the mages- so this was the choice I chose-
I so loved this game. And that love has yet to awaken for any of its sequels.
I killed the blood mage and had to kill the boy.... Regret it was such a sad moment
