Angry Mailman, you must also understand that there are also carriers who want to vote and can’t because if they were ever put in a NO PAY STATUS under LWOP, for injury etc. they owe union dues that doesn’t get paid under OWCP compensation therefore owing their local union on a national level basis and even if they returned to pay status and are currently paying dues but still owe the portion from being out without pay well, they can’t vote either way, this rule needs to change too because if one is out from injury or other reason and not collecting pay from being in service this is a huge bill and punished by the union and considered not being in good standing even though they are paying current dues so these votes don’t get counted because they are ineligible to vote, run for steward etc. and if m sure there are plenty of these types of carriers out here, too, so consider this and be educated on that, too when informing people to vote even in the first place. Just for your knowledge in case you all don’t know this from my 24 years of service.
