Yap Ye Iswa 2024 sizzle reel

This is the Catawba Indian Yap Ye Iswa festival of 2024. This festival displays Native American Indian culture with their dancing, their pottery making and basket making along with story telling. Catawba Indian culture gets put on display at this festival. The catawba Indians are the only federally recognized Indian tribe in South Carolina. They have fought hard for this privilege and are such an amazing group of peaple. Such an incredible time and they know how to put on a festival for the public. If you have never been then you need to definitely attend the next one. The dances, the atmosphere and the vibe is so much fun. It was my first time. I missed out on the dances because I explored the trail and enjoyed the peaceful river. I still had fun and will definitely come back next year! Was happy to cross off Fry Bread off my list to experience!

It’s fun every year. This was our second year and we really enjoy the culture and the atmosphere. They work hard to put this together and let the public come for free, it’s a great experience. Maybe next year we will check out the walking trail.
