I imagine all the packers team mates when they get on bus or plane rides are just waiting for him to hop on so they can all shout KHUUUUUNN in unison to mess around with him lol
Drove 4 hours each way from New York to DC to see this game. Every Washington fan was so cocky when they were up early and oh man did we shut them up after that. I'll never forget this game: First time seeing the Packers live, as well as first playoff game and win. It was an amazing experience
I remember hearing that they wanted to go for two, but Janis got hurt on the touchdown, and they didn’t have enough receivers to run their best two point play.
I remember being happy when the Packers lost to the Vikings in the last regular season game before this because it meant we got to play the Redskins instead of the Seahawks
Packers woulda played the Vikings again if they won that last game of the year vs the Vikings for the division ,not Seattle. Pretty sure Vikings had a better record or conference record than Seattle that year
That was such a frustrating season. It was the first season in my lifetime that I wasn’t confident that the Packers could win each game (besides 2013 I guess because Rodgers was out). I remember going into each game thinking “Let’s see what happens” rather than “We can do this.”
@@youflunkeddaycare The losses at Denver and Carolina didn't phase me as they were 2 of the best teams that year (obviously since they went to the Super Bowl), but the losses to the Lions and Bears at home were god awful, the blowout in Arizona and then losing to the Vikings at home really put everything into question. I remember thinking if they beat the Redskins, they get some confidence back (although beating the weakest division champion doesn't really equate to much). I only ever thought they might have something when they actually played well against Arizona the following week.
Carl Mack but playing well at Arizona was too little too late. And with our WR group riddled with injuries we probably wouldn’t have done much against Carolina had we been able to pull out a win in Arizona
I remember not wanting to watch the game when i saw the safety at the beginning. My dad told me to come back to watch and i saw that the Packers had taken the lead.
I most definitely agree. Plus he was a rookie when we went and beat the Steelers in the Super Bowl. He played very well during the playoffs to help us win.
Crit Reliant we don’t even know what Aaron Jones really is yet though.... RBs have historically done good in lafluer offense. There’s a chance the packers don’t even resign him.. he needs one more season like last year to earn another contract with the packers to me
Crit Reliant that’s an overrated take don’t forget he was with the falcons when they went to the Super Bowl and that offense was top 5 and Matt Ryan had an mvp season and they haven’t recovered since. ... another point Lafluers hasn’t stayed in the same position for more then one year because he keeps getting promotions/ better better jobs. We’ve never really seen he could do in his second year... and Aaron Jones still hasn’t proved he good be a 3 down back like what a.j Dillion could potentially be for the packers. going back to my point it’s a contract year for Aaron Jones. And he needs to replicate what he did last year to even have a chance of a contract extension. Especially when Mccaffrey just reset the RB market and rbs could have immediate success out of the draft. So if we don’t resign Aaron Jones he never makes it pass his rookie contract just like James starks..
Remember this game. Didn’t get to watch the first half, was walking through a blizzard after work waiting for my ride. Watched the play-by-play on the ESPN App.
My conclusion is that Eddie Lacy is probably bionically-enhanced. He has an internal gyroscope and his center of gravity is 8" to a foot lower than that of us mortals. Watching him turn a 3-yard loss into a 12-yard gain, while carrying, pushing or dragging 8 members of the other team ... pure delight.
I remember cursing DJax for not scoring on that play….it was such a boneheaded move that only he could’ve done. Dude was sooooo talented but he squandered what he could’ve been by doing crap just like that. It would’ve been 16-0.
Score aside, this game is a lot better from an unbiased perspective than what most people would come to expect. It just didn't, stick the landing. Either way it was a great Packer game
I doubt you have the faintest idea "what most people would come to expect." For a dozen years with Rodgers most fans exoected a GB return to the SB....alas
Could argue the Packers threw the Vikings game that season bc they knew that the NFC East was a joke that year and knew that this would be a much easier matchup than Seattle.
@Tony Preston did you forget the Panther Packers game earlier that season? The Packers came back in that game and nearly beat them at Carolina. They at least would've made it more interesting the Cards did. Nobody was beating Denver that year though. So honestly kind of glad GB didn't make it to the bowl because they would've gotten embarrassed again
you know John Kuhn was a favorite when you hear the khouuuunnnnn while at an away playoff game

Watching all these greatest games is painful. It’s a glaring reminder of how truly bad the defense was. Man what could’ve been...
It's just stay home. Go Pack Go
Yeah like legit watching this defense makes me cringe
Let’s say packers make it to the Super Bowl that year, there was no way they were going to beat Denver’s defense!
I mean yeah defense was terrible but gotta give them some credit for holding them to only 18
@@h1maldonado05 don't think they could even beat that panthers D

We should have gone for two that night. 😞
@@sjwdestroyer6336 Definitely should have gone for two. In my gut I feel they would have won it right then and there.
Rodgers didn’t even get to play in OT 😭
Packers would of won more if not for mccarthys shitty management

The heartbreak in Arizona is still one that stings. Larry Fitzgerald broke all of our hearts

if he stayed off those cheeseburgers

@Sgt. Hartman sorry bud but imo James starks and Eddie lacy we’re both better than Aaron Jones
After this season with davante not able to catch ANYTHING, seeing him catch that TD on live tv was so relieving for some reason.
I've never seen a back define the "gliding" style of running the way Starks did.
Good video! Next packers classic game should be the comeback in week 3 of 2017 against the Bengals
Remember this game. Didn’t get to watch the first half, was walking through a blizzard after work waiting for my ride. Watched the play-by-play on the ESPN App.
This was my first Packers game I went to. It was awesone!
There's a reason this is now in my recommendations this year, I swear
I miss these Washington uniforms, hopefully they go back to these. Such a classic look.
I remember watching this live, snd I wasn't worried about our deficit at all for aome reason. Go Pack!
I miss watching James Starks run. He was such a shifty back!
The game after that the divisional round against the cardinals! Craziest Hail Mary of all time
Love we got preston Smith now. I like him as a player
It's about more then stats
He affects games
I was like 10 years old when this game came out😂
Could you possibly do the Packers and Vikings game from week 16 in 2016.

Hyde and Hayward those are a starter and significant factors of their current team but what happened in GB?
Love the video keep it up bro ! #gopackgo
Hearing your opponent’s chant in your stadium has got to be so damn demoralizing 😂
How Mike and Dom kept their job for so long is beyond me.
They would have beaten the Cardinals if they'd have gone for two after the regulation ending touchdown the next week. They had all the momentum.
I remember living in Appleton at the time. I was walking down the street to a bar. Washington was up. Then boom they lost.

All these wonderful games and we STILL disrespect Rogers.
In what world does Washington beat The Packers in the Playoffs?
Fantasy Island
All the home teams lost wild card weekend that year

Yeah they threw a game so they could play on the road in the playoffs instead of playing at home lol dumb
Anyone else notice how the Redskins scored a point at 8:25
Derek Lee and then it goes back to 18 lol

Next weeks game after Washington sucked for me double hail marry and still can’t win because of the defense
Defense was the only reason they were even in that game.
I wish we could have won Peppers a ring
