Tony Stark is my favorite character of all time. The one who made me loves the MCU, the ones who helped me going through the hardest times of my life. I will always be grateful, that I had the chance to follow his journey. This video isn't complete unfortunately, but I will make another one with EndGame once the blu-ray is out.

Tony couldn’t of lifted Mjolnir since he hadn’t only told the truth. Once Captain America told Ironman about Bucky killing his parents he was once worthy enough. Captain and Thor are the only ones worthy to wield Mjolnir.

Four words that started and ended the greatest saga. I have no other words. I am still in awe and a shock over what happened. The MCU will never be the same again. ❤❤❤❤ I love you 3,000 Iron Man. Rest in Peace!
The first time he says 'I am Iron Man" he stresses the 'I' in the sentence. Stressing that this is about him and how cool he is. The last time he says 'I am Iron Man" he stresses the 'am' because being Iron Man has come to define who he is as a person. It's an amazingly circular arc defined by two different performances of the exact same line.

If you payed attention, Tony was ready to die in The Avengers (When he carried the nuke to space), Age of Ultron ( When he saved the world by preventing the piece of land getting to high to drop and causing global extinction), and Infinity war (fought Thanos), and Endgame ( repeat of Infinity War except he didn’t make it). Thats 4 times.

This is exactly why I loved that scene. I was planning to kill myself if Iron Man died, but they way they did it was beyond perfect. Pepper holding back her tears to let him know he can finally rest, ends his story in the most perfect way imaginable
that vision in age of ultron was a scenario of what would have happened if tony put his self interest first instead of the greater good,if they lost that battle,talk about forshadowing

It kills me that we lost Natasha and tony, they started the journey together, and they both sacrificed themselves to make it work. Bawled my eyes out
Mine was Pepper telling him he could rest. My heart breaks because he needed to hear that. He could let go. Everything was fine. And so, he did.
The thing that really hit me was the original arc reactor on the memorial flowers for him at his funeral. That small touch just hit me in a way
The statement is so blunt and simple "I am Iron Man". Yet, it's so meaningful, there is no other Iron Man, there is no other leader or protagonist who had such a complete journey in the MCU, he is the opposite of who he was when we saw him for the first time. It's powerful because he doesn't say "I'm Tony Stark", it's not about ego but he is not any person, he is a symbol, a martyr, the hero that started this all and then saved the universe, he is the one and only hero who can say and has earned the right to say "I am Iron Man".

Knowing that his two kids were gonna be alright and that he'd saved his family, he was finally able to rest easy.
I agree, but I'd like to add that he didn't want to leave his girls behind. He still wanted to be there for them, but when Pepper said they would be okay, he could rest now, he then finally felt peace and that he could finally rest.
He did it alright. He won. It just came with a high cost, a cost he didn't want to pay but was ultimately willing to, because saving Peter, Pepper, Morgan, and the rest is the best gift he could ever hope to receive.

it wasn't a box of scraps, he was using several ballistic missiles that he had previously designed. He dismantled them for the parts he needed. The metal he used for the outside was also super durable because it shrugs off bullets like they're pin pricks...

I just realized what Tony's vision during age of Ultron was foreshadowing,
The vision that he had is what would have happened if he didnt sacrifice himself either by not snapping his fingers or not getting involved in the fight because of his family. His sacrifice during endgame was him making sure that his vision didnt come to pass.

AND he makes the ultimate sacrifice in the end. hell every movie he was willing to die to save everyone even in the first ironman movie. remember he didn't know he would survive the arc reactor exploding, in EVERY movie, he has fought on the FRONTLINES. EVERY time. in the end it isn't that he was willing to sacrifice himself, in the end it was just that he SUCCEEDED in doing so.

Tony Stark is basically my favourite character in the whole of the mcu and probably my favourite characters ever. His character is mesmerising and his sacrifice was unforgettable and unbearable. Even after endgame this character will stay in my heart for the rest of my life and i inspire to meet Robert Downey Jr one day to thank him for representing this character the way he did. Iron man will always live on in my heart and in everyone elses❤

The thing about Stan Lee's Tony Stark is he embodies the working class, people who are stuck in caves and day by day, buid their future. I remember, 8 years ago I was working with back pain, with no heating, at -2c because I had to help my customers through a difficult time (Year end audit) and they had called me a week prior to the audit. Seeing Tony in the last scene, hammering away was very clear to me. We all are ironman. Those big soul-less corporations dont care about us but none the less, our work will show through results. My respect goes to all you ironpeople out there. Love you 3000!

I always laugh when I hear Cap say that Tony is not the guy to make the sacrifice play.
And then Tony makes the sacrifice play at end of Avengers.
He creates Ultron with best intentions to have better safety on Earth and faces the repercussions when it goes all wrong.
He faces the harrowing discovery that his friend's best friend (under mind control, obvi but still) killed his parents, and is forced to watch it happen decades later.
He creates and creates better Iron Man suits in order to take on any challenge, whenever. He survives a moon being thrown at him, come on.
He goes after Thanos with a teenager and a wizard as his backups. Iconic trio, TBH.
He survives in outer space, saved by Captain Marvel. He SOLVES. TIME TRAVEL.
And after everything. After everything, Captain America, he makes the ultimate, the ULTIMATE sacrifice play in Endgame. Tony Stark had the BEST character development in the MCU, fight me
And what capt did in the end, he choose to live his normal life with Peggy

From iron Man 1, Mark 2, and every fight he's fought, no one would've guessed this. We all loved him and praised him from the start, how Robert made Tony Stark go from a C-list hero, to even more than A-list hero. His Oscar, even if he doesn't get one, is how he has turned over the super hero franchise as a whole, and made superheroes what they are now. He deserves an Oscar, yes, and i can't imagine someone else earning one, even if he doesn't win, the respect, and impact he has made, is worth way more than an Oscar.
@@samurai6561 100% this. I know Iron Man wasn't Marvel's first push into comic book movies but Iron Man is what really flipped the script on what they could be. If it wasn't for RDJ I don't think we would have had this entire franchise, or the X-Men reboots, or even DC films. RDJ deserves an Oscar.

When he said "and I.." my lips automatically synced "am... Ironman" I shivered in excitement when I saw he made it alive through the finale. He can rest, I didn't realize what was about to happen. He did rest. Rest in peace tony, it's been almost 2 years and I'm still here. Its because you can't move on when everywhere you go, you see his face.
