Hi Shahin, The statut is Isis designed by HR GIGER The Father of Alien ^^
for the record, the statue present in this show is a statue of the Egyptian goddess Isis. At the base, it was to represent the face of Mylène, but this one being very difficult with the cult, the idea was rejected. On the other hand, Mylène called on the artist Giger, to whom we owe the creation of the Alien cinema character with Sigourney Weaver. I can answer a few questions you have at the beginning.
At this period, I was worlking for another artist, but in the same production company. As the 2000 will come soon, every artist wanted to have a huge show, and Mylene is probably the best for this in France.
Most of the time she dosen't make a tour, because it's so difficult (well...quite impossible) to take everything in the tour.
This statue for example was made especially for this stage. A lots of us (in the company) knew that something was praparing, it had to be done in escret, but (I can say it now) some were invited to visit the place during the construction, yes I was lucky enough to go in this head as the mekers explained us how she will open and end the show.
The Mylene farme show are always waited, because everybody knows it will be amazing, even for people who don't like her music.
And to be perfectly clear, her shows are not to make money (most of the time it costs more than the selling of tickets give money back) BUT, like some artists: the shows are ....for the show, and the money is made with the selling of records and merchandising.
Everywhere in the world, she's know and even in place where she never went to sing, people buy her records, her productions, her merchandising.
The real business with Mylene Farmer is the fact she is rare, discreet...and so, mysterious.

Thanks Shahin! 😉 In my memory, that 1999 intro had moved far behind anything seen on a show in the world before that and the music industry was in shock. Many have tried to be inspired by it afterwards without ever approaching it... There are no words to explain Mylène Farmer! It's simply magical and from an unreal world and always in absolute artistic innovation...

The music video for M'Effondre is a clipshow of that concert. Unfortunately the incredible intro has been taken down from youtube, only fan made clips remain. Maybe in the future. 😀

Pour répondre à propos des statues géantes. Elles sont la reproduction exacte des statues, dont le vrai nom est "Transi", d'une église du XIVe siècle en France (à Bar-le-Duc). Transi, représente la résurrection de la chair. C'était la manière pour représenter la vie et la mort à la fin du Moyen Âge, lorsque la vie était menacée par la guerre, la peste et la famine en ces temps sombres. Les statues sont debout, tendant leur cœur à pleine main vers le ciel.

To answer about the giant statues. They are the exact reproduction of the statues, whose real name is "Transi", from a 14th century church in France (in Bar-le-Duc). Transi, represents the resurrection of the flesh. It was the way to represent life and death in the late Middle Ages, when life was threatened by war, pestilence and famine in those dark times. The statues are standing, stretching out their hearts with full hands to the sky.

Don't get wrong Shahin, Mylene maybe seems to you an angel but she is very provocative in hers videos (for her art she can go far away). She is french and in 80's 90's people were more open-minded than now. I just prepare you and I hope you are someone with an open minded and don't be too shocked later when you will see hers clip videos lol. She's very shy, secret. She never done any interview except when she talk about hers concerts or her album. If we can have 5 interviews we are lucky lol. Yeah she make profit if not nobody will invest for hers next concerts lol

I don't know if she makes profits but she gives everything for us 😉 on some shows like in 2006 or 2019 the concert could not be transported so less travel and less costs. But she doesn't look at the expenses to always make us dream, that's why we rarely see her, she did only 6 shows in all her career, the 7th is in preparation for 2023

Hi Shahin really Mylene's openings and choreographies are amazing, but not wanting to mess with her fanbase, live she sings very badly, always with pre-recorded base and out of tune horrors. The autotune on the DVD has fixed everything but it's terrible live. On UA-cam there are some videos made by fans that you can see her real voice. She is very similar to Madonna in art, they are more performancs than singers, see on Eurovision Madonna singing Like a Prayer, she posted the video on her channel but there is on the Eurovision channel without edition, her voice is terrible, there is no way to defend something like that. I'm so sorry for the loss of my life
Have you ever attended one of Mylène Farmer's tours?? (I seriously doubt it) Me yes and what you say is 80% false! Possibly during some choreographies she was not always perfect vocally but she is a good singer with complicated songs because very high in spectacular shows that are physically demanding. The fans would have abandoned her if what you say is true, yet her fan base has only remained faithful and increased in almost 40 years... IF you prefer vocally powerful singers because they do not move then choose to the opera and stop your stupid criticism....

Know that in 2019, with only 8 performances for her tour, she was ranked the 9th most bankable artist in the world. All those ahead of her in the rankings had done between 100 and 150 performances. I've been to several concerts from Mylène, from the "Stade de France" 2009 to the last in 2019 at the "Paris La Défense Arena". Ok she's not perfect and we all know that. But it is not as terrible as you say. Some vocal coaches say that she's the only woman who can sing in a stadium in front of 80,000 people, alone, with just a piano, and all fans listening without a noise... She also has this capability to go from bass to high notes with an angelic voice... Ok when she gets emotional her voice breaks, but I was there when she sang "Ainsi soit-je" at the "Stade de France", and it was just fantastic, beautiful, even when she reaches high notes... And if sometimes several notes sounds bad, it doesn't matter, she's human, and it demonstrates that she sings live and not in playback ! 🙂 (sorry for my bad English, I'm French...)
