If he hasn't already played his first round with those clubs, you should do a course vlog with him using the clubs for the first time!
I think I've been watching your vlogs for over 2 yrs now. I've seen you play some amazing course, go to amazing places, move training locations and change physically (your fitness and your recent eye op) and mentally in your approach to the game. But I have to put this vlog up there as my favourite. Whilst golf is competitive and as golfers we always want to improve and increase consistency, it's also about fun and family. Your dad was a massive influence on your life and in particular golf and to have repaid him for all the hard work he's done with this amazing gesture, it's incredible Peter it truly is. Your an inspiration yourself Peter and I hope everyone who can, after watching this vlog, gets their family member on the phone (dad, mum, brother etc) and invites them to a game of golf.

Pete I said you were a good guy but after seeing this I got to say you are an Incredible son . lm about the same age as your father and I know what that means to him , not only the act but the fact that your success allows you to do this for him . He must be very proud of you.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who will say this and especially for those of us who have lost out Dads (even if mine could be a pain in the arse at times) but I love watching your videos featuring your Dad and he's a real star.
Kudos to you too Pete for being a good son and no doubt feeling like you are returning some of the gestures and support you had from your parents when you were younger.

Why would you want to "thumb down" on this one? This was a great vlog. Makes me wanna get fitted rather than just buying clubs and hoping they'll work. Hope your dad gets in the low 70's. When I get into the 80's,,,, you'll hear me scream all the way across the big pond.

Shows the importance of getting fitted. Bet his scores will go down or be more consistent. My brother and I both got fitted before this golf season and went from on occasion breaking 80 on a good day, to breaking 80 consistently. This is not from practicing more either as we both have families and can get out once or twice a month to play. It's expensive, but if you were like me buying sale clubs off the rack hoping for the correct clubs, stop and save your money up and get fitted.

regarding wedges, I get one of each color in my 50/54/60. That way I can grab the correct wedge easier/quicker.

Your dad has played 50 times in a year, once a week basically, he plays off 12 and has shot in the 70’s in every comp he has played, he is what us club golfers call a bandit.

after watching this Pete, I now really really want to come over and golf a round with your dad. He and I are about the same age with seemingly the same description of swing and struggles as you were describing them. Let's just say as you talked about your dad's struggles in hitting some clubs I kept doing double takes as it sure sounded like my son talking about my golf game. Maybe, just maybe a dream will happen and I will get to England again and get a round set up. Since his first golf vlog that you posted, I have thought that playing a round with him would be a blast. cheers and great video as always.

I have never been to a fitting because I heard stories from friends fitting ended up with the set of club heads that he wants but with custom shaft and custom grip that added up to nearly twice the price that he initially wanted to pay. $800 for the club head and $700 for the shaft with grip.

I really like the brushed copper finish on the Vokey wedges, however the brushed copper finish does not come in certain degrees in Vokey wedges.
