Me my wife and Son was out there two weeks ago had a great time we even donated to the park planing on doing a weekend overnight camping next great video thanks for sharing 🙏❤️🙏
Unless you are sure that the ants are gone, we highly recommend taking some sevin dust to combat them. Watch where you park to be sure that no tree limbs or branches are touching your RV; the ants could enter your RV from trees. Tawakoni has the most beautiful swim area. We didn't get to use it because of rain and abnormally cool temperatures, but it looked great.
hello from the snowy Ozarks Ants are bigger in Texas thank for sharing another informative and delightful video. safe healthy and joyful journeys ahead Grace be with you
For some reason, people dump animals here all the time. We don’t have a facility that receives strays so people do their best to take them in. The residents are tapped out. It’s gotten so bad, packs of wild dogs are attacking the feral cats. Sad. Their hungry. Just so sad. Nice review. There are many people moving into the area. Houses popping up everywhere. New roads going in. I pray it helps many recover from the covid damage. Blessings ❣️
Just remember to take something to combat the aunts, and don't let trees touch your RV because the ants can go from the trees onto your roof and into your RV.
Wow! We were just there! We will be posting our video soon (working on it now) and will mention you in the video referencing one of your previous videos that talks about the ant problem. It rained on us too! We also met up with Dude RV while we were there. Great video! Thanks for sharing!
@@TwoTiredTeachers We would really enjoy that! We will be having a meet-up type of thing this year at Queen Wilhelmina State Park for Memorial Day Weekend. We would love to see you there if you could make it!!
@@SunsetSeekers We're planning a trip to the Quachita Forest this spring, so I doubt we'll make it for Memorial Day. Plus, we really don't like camping during summer holidays. I'll let you know if we change our minds.
@@TwoTiredTeachers I guess we are gluttons for punishment! LOL! I would have to say that we too prefer the spring and fall months. We are headed to Palo Duro Canyon State Park in April--and we have a trip planned for every month except November this year so far. Maybe we'll catch you guys in the fall sometime!
Palo Duro should be perfect in April -- warm days and cool nights. We would love to get to meet you. Consider Caprock Canyons State Park; it was so cool with the bison.
Thanks for this review! Hubby and I were wondering about this park just a few days ago. Looks like a nice place to camp. We're still waiting for things to dry out and warm up a bit so we can go RVing! 😄
Peggy, if you go to Tawakoni, remember to take something to combat the ants. We had no problems, but we treated the landing gear and tires, and we made sure we weren't touching any trees because the ants can crawl from the trees to the roof of your RV and into it.
We were there in August, and, of course, it was rainy. They have a great looking swimming area that we couldn't use because of the thunder and lightning.
This is one of the prettiest parks you have stayed at. Who am I kidding? All the state parks in Texas seem to be beautiful. Have you taken your shakedown trip yet?

We do love our Texas State Parks.
Thank you for the video and information. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for the comment.
I absolutely love this park. Three cheers for the landscape architects with Texas State Parks! Thanks so much for another great video.
Thank you for another great comment!
Bravo! Off to the lake this coming week to take a chill pill and do some fishing in my boat. I cant wait!
Have a great time! We've found that fishing works better than any chill pill you swallow.
That does look like a beautiful place! We are going through there next month. May need to check this out. Thanks for sharing. Lynn and Danny

Snowy? We were in the 60s today. Thanks for your comment.
80 degrees is what I need 2 to swim😜. Thank you for the video ladies💖
We like it a bit warmer than 80, but we knew we weren't swimming when it was in the 70s and cloudy.
Thanks for the comment.

I hate that people abandon animals.
@@TwoTiredTeachers Many times they dump them in padlocked cages. There is a special place in hell for people that evil.
Thanks for the informative, great review, when I’m in this area I’ll have to check this place out

Great video lovely ladies 🌷
Thank you very much.
That's a nice campground. Good info, as usual.
Thank you so very much.

Maybe we will get to meet you one of these days. We love meeting other RVers. I checked out some of your videos. Very cool.

When we’re y’all out there ,I’ve canceled a few times because of thunder storms, great review

Is there water hookup in 30 amp section
Yes. We did have water.
Ants you ladies make good videos.
Thank you. We try.
Did the ants
Hinder you from cooking outside? Nice looking Park would love to visit it sometime. I like the space between campsite's.
The rain hindered our cooking outside. I don't know how it would have been with the ants.

Can the kids swim there? Any restrooms to change cloth? Thanks.
I know that they can swim. The swim area is wonderful. I think there are restrooms close to the swim area.
You better watch out for knuckleheads that might want to break in or pilfer when you are at these sites in the middle of the week.
Thank you for your concern. We only stay where we feel safe.
