Narukami really is the chad protagonist. He's the only one who is unambiguously loved by everyone. Makoto is a weird introverted Emo kid and Joker may very well be cooler in some regards but gets shitted on by everyone in canon because they think he's a criminal. Narukami is not only loved by pretty much everyone but can do so while also not being a Mary Sue because he is a massive weirdo on top of being the ideal man.
Well the character has been flushed out more then the other 2. But in a rpg about making friends/fighting shadows your main character is only as good as the other cast members. That’s probably why people love him so much because Yu (and you) earned the respect of these well loved and Interesting people.
Nanako is the younger sibling everyone wishes they could have. I just end up melting in a puddle of cuteness because of her :) She's so sweet and not annoying at all, which is rare in child characters. I'd give her a big hug if I could. Poor kiddo went through a lot in P4.
I mean the clues were right in front of us. She always watching TV at home. Small enough to fit in tv of any size. Close enough to watch any moves made by the investigation teams- both her father's and the MC's. Lives in the house so nobody suspects her putting the warning letter in their letter box. Damn she is a criminal genius. 😧
Just finished the game yesterday and I gotta say that whole scene at the gas station was perfect. Also yes yu x gas station attendant is cannon change my mind.
After getting crossover with Blazblue, RWBY and UnderNight in BBTAG, Yu and the gang got suck into another crossover with P3 and P5 in Persona Q2. Yu truly can't escape from crossing fate AGAIN!

I still prefer persona 4 than persona 5, i can really relate myself with the characters from persona 4 like i'm also part of their group. Persona 5 is also great, better graphics and darker story, but Persona 4 has both bright and dark parts in the story and they fit so well together. Persona 4 will never dies...
Yeau same for me, while persona 5 obviously was better on mostly graphics and game play it felt kinda subpar in it's story writing compared to the orginal persona 4.

For example p1 purple black grey (psp) P2 was red black orange (psp) P3 fes light blue and white P4G yellow black P5 black white red All games have different portrait styles and text etc no need to change that.
I consider P4 Golden to be my favorite game in the series. The sad part of this is however, that you can't really admit to this without at least one person, telling you, that P4 is a "shitty" game, because it's "too happy go lucky". And that's the reason why i came to really dislike the fandom nowadays. I mean, all the Persona games are great and if someone enjoys P3 more, that's fine. It just so happened, that i enjoyed P4 Golden a little bit more. Let everyone enjoy their own tastes. Yeah, I was literally shocked to hear that p4 was getting hated on, It’s also because I knew the game when it was still niche: No anime, No awards, No Hiimdaisy, No spin-offs, nothing. I’m proud to have seen it grown so much and I really love the happy look of it, it’s unique from all the nitty-gritty action games and makes the dark content really surprising and intriguing. I was never really in the fandom but this hate nowadays will never make me want to be part of it.
The Vita has a ton of great iddie games, a good ps1 library, ps2 "HD" collections and great games like Gravity Rush, P4G, Wipeout 2048 and Killzone Mercenary My favorite handheld for sure.

Watching this again now that Persona 4 Golden is on Steam, and managed to be the top-selling game in less than 24 hours, and get the “Overwhelmingly Positive” score based on user reviews. The legend of Chad-Yu lives on.

I think Persona 4 is still so wildly alive because of its characters. I don't think anyone likes Morgana, but there are a fair amount of people who love Teddie, muself included, & all of the rest of the team feel like not just a team, but a tight knit group of friends that you actually, legitimately care about. S.E.E.S & the Phantom Thieves can occasionally feel more like co-workers than best friends, but the down time you spend with the Investigation Team, & their dynamic as a whole makes them feel much more close & I think people like that comfortable feeling of being in a tight knit group of ride-or-die best friends
Fun fact, Persona 4 isn't actually a *Shin* Megami Tensei game. After Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturn, Atlus released every Megami Tensei under the Shin Megami Tensei to make things simplier and more connected. However it just made things more complex when talking about what counts as Shin game.

That Inside an Edgelord video made me hate myself even now after 2 years for searching the soundtrack on UA-cam in the middle of my first playthrough. And UA-cam, of course, being a little bitch decided put an end to my happiness just by recommending me that one video.
Both Akechi and Adachi would make really good friends. I mean both of their names sound similar. Both have a love for a specific type of food. And both of them are sexy psychopaths who do mass murders and are detectives that try to solve their own case.
Yu has managed to make it into every Persona spin-off so far, even those that aren't for him. He even gets to be a chibi and control both Makoto and Ren, which they will never be able to do to him. And I bet once again he will be the star of PQ2.
I’ll say this, it’s impressive how long P4 has lasted. While I’m a little critical about it on some parts, nothing but respect for any game that can be this old and still popular.

I think you summarized it pretty good. Persona 4 has dark moments and they hit really hard, because you had a good time with your friends before.

Fun fact, Persona 4 isn't actually a *Shin* Megami Tensei game.
After Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturn, Atlus released every Megami Tensei under the Shin Megami Tensei to make things simplier and more connected. However it just made things more complex when talking about what counts as Shin game.
RayOfTruth I don't really care if the Persona serie has or hasn't the SMT logo. The only thing I know is that Persona doesn't include the fucking cancerous SMT BS that are in the main serie. Smt would be great if not for that complete bullshit pack.

You say that people got spoiled about Adachi through youtube videos. I straight up got spoiled by a lets player saying his name while comparing him to Akechi in his Persona 5 playthrough. I'm still a LITTLE miffed about it to this day.

Yu has managed to make it into every Persona spin-off so far, even those that aren't for him. He even gets to be a chibi and control both Makoto and Ren, which they will never be able to do to him. And I bet once again he will be the star of PQ2.
