Narukami really is the chad protagonist. He's the only one who is unambiguously loved by everyone. Makoto is a weird introverted Emo kid and Joker may very well be cooler in some regards but gets shitted on by everyone in canon because they think he's a criminal. Narukami is not only loved by pretty much everyone but can do so while also not being a Mary Sue because he is a massive weirdo on top of being the ideal man.
Marche800 He is also loved by Idols, Ace detective, God, little sister, Animals and Literally everything.
I thought Elizabeth cameo'd and called him that offscreen.

Well the character has been flushed out more then the other 2. But in a rpg about making friends/fighting shadows your main character is only as good as the other cast members. That’s probably why people love him so much because Yu (and you) earned the respect of these well loved and Interesting people.
Yeah, the game works very hard at bringing more character into the protagonist, to give him that extra spice.

She's so sweet and not annoying at all, which is rare in child characters. I'd give her a big hug if I could. Poor kiddo went through a lot in P4.

I still prefer persona 4 than persona 5, i can really relate myself with the characters from persona 4 like i'm also part of their group. Persona 5 is also great, better graphics and darker story, but Persona 4 has both bright and dark parts in the story and they fit so well together. Persona 4 will never dies...

P2 was red black orange (psp)
P3 fes light blue and white
P4G yellow black
P5 black white red
All games have different portrait styles and text etc no need to change that.

My favorite Persona fanfic is the one where Yu and Margaret literally don't exist. Instead, we get an AU where the P3 main cast all lives, with both MC and FeMC, Ken is related to the Dojimas, and Ren Amamiya is raised in Inaba, and is the same age as Ken. Thus, Ren is both the Wild Card of P4 and P5. And because Yu doesn't exist, Margaret doesn't either. Instead Ren gets Lavenza.
Also the best ship is Yu/Chie/Yosuke and maybe Yukiko. I still think that Yu/Chie is an underrated pairing.
I'm sort of one of those people that, to this day, is still on the fence about Marie. Truth be told, I have no resentment to her inclusion in the game, and if her character didn't feel so much like a flanderized trope than a person that feels things, I'd have been fine with her as-is. For whatever extent it matters, as an aside, there's at least a respectable excuse that she's involved in the main plot structure the way that she is. But that's my problem with it: she didn't need to be. She could have easily been an extra character with her own side-story that the player could delve into at their leisure. But making her and her _objectively bad_ poetry (Don't give me that look, I've done freeform before, and hers was all out of whack) integral to the story, as well as her Social Link being *mandatory* to unlock the mega-ultra-true ending? Yeah, that's when ATLUS sorta pushed the character onto people in a way akin to super-gluing a Marie magnet to the player's forehead.
My main issue with Marie is how they could have easily made her 'Importants' to the plot.... Important and her personality
She could have been more that a Tsudara, make her a softer spoken person that have outbursts, actual, real emotional outburst rather than 'Ihatebutialsoloveyouyouidiot'
Her Poems are objectively bad but that could have worked for her character, they could have better linked it to the fact she's a God that was only made to watch over and protect the humans. She could have gotten better over time to reflect how she began to understand them and became more human herself
For the story, have her actually apart of the story. She doesn't has to be IT member, but make her more involved in the case, her poem could have been clues, she absentmindedly writing about the TV world and what it holds as renominate of her past life and what not. But have actually there, bonding with the group.
Things like the Beach trip, and ski trip and what not, should had brought her along (Since it what she wanted anyways) and let her S.link be about finding herself and how she grows close to Yu
Marie was wasted potential that could have been great tbh

I pretty much agree with everything else, still like her tbh, I didn't mind it since I usually have nothing to do with my life and its a few more seconds wasted but having her poetry be mandatory before you can fuse personas or smash Margaret or somethin was one of the worst decisions Atlus has ever made, that's a one-way ticket to "She's an annoying bitch get her out of my game" street

The question you should be asking is: Who plays Persona games for the gameplay?
Even Persona 5? Even with all the annoying bosses and Shido's palace?
The music is way better than Persona 4... Are we talking about the same game? How are RPGs even that fun to play in contrast to say any action games like platformers, beatem/shootem ups and fighting games? The one particularly fun element I can think of off the top of my head, the customization has been proliferated to pretty much every other genera in existence too...
I mostly play RPGs for the story, characters, art and immersion. Gameplay always tends to be boring and repetitive. I have no interest in rythm games because my timing skills absolutely suck. Even fighting games are somewhat easier than those...
Otacon464 Gameplay isn't too repetitive if they can make it fun and varied enough, that isn't the case with RPGs. Not sure why I have to explain this. I also don't understand how you fail to comperehend that the world changing as a result of what you do is a story thing, not a gameplay thing, "world building" and "action and consequence" in an interactive medium.

Which is the sort of thing that can happen in literally every other genera.

yes surprisingly so, now I can finally play Persona 4 (PS2) and Persona 4 Golden, and use 1 machine to switch between them thanks to the miracle of emulation.
Yes, I feel that if you purchase Persona 4 Golden, why not Emulate Persona 4 (PS2) after beating Golden to take a look at what Persona 4 originally looked like before it got moved to the Vita.
@Maaka Cross the graphical alterations of p4Golden really isn't my favourite, play P4 PS2 and golden you'll see they look really different graphically
@Maaka Cross different questions, different experience, Persona 4 PS2 and Persona 4 Golden are different gameplay and class question wise. some areas line up while others don't, the 2 less social links aren't a big deal, but the atmosphere the original PS2 version gives is so much more expressive, I actually RECOMMEND playing Persona 4 PS2 after beating Golden, I don't really care if it's before or after, but it's because the 2 are so different that I'd recommend taking a look at Persona 4 PS2.
