Sound Design with Mariana | Synth Pad | Thavius Beck

New York based record producer, rapper, and Berklee School of Music professor Thavius Beck guides us through sound design using Mariana, creating an entire track with multiple elements in Ableton Live with all sounds generated by Mariana.
In the third and final video of this series, Thavius explores how to make synth pad sounds using Mariana. First, Thavius shows us how to enable MPE and use MPE 3rd Dimension to modulate Mariana using up and down motion on his Ableton Push 3. Next, he looks at using Duophonic mode to use both synth layers of Mariana together to play two notes simultaneously. Finally, Thavius adds texture with Mariana’s delay and chorus effects and then brings everything together into a full track.
