I’m learning that calendar and commitment to a session are difficult with my friends busy lives. Appreciate the lessons here @FlintFireforge. Great advice!

Love your tip about open-ended attendance questions! When i started charging for games i naturally started doing this.
The most difficult part for me to prep is the adventure itself. For years i ran games off the cuff with just my imagination and some random tables. The storyline seems to be the last thing i think to prep.

Thanks. The adventure prep is easiest for me. The hardest is doing off the cuff stuff because I'd wind up painting myself in a corner lol.

Great video. Just started to DM for my Support Group. I do Support Work for teens and young adults and so far they absolutely love our DnD sessions. There is some great tips in the video, and i do try to be as much proactive as i can be for each session. I have still ALOT to learn, but as long as we all are having fun that is the main goal for me as DM.
    Thanks, Dave

This is a good video, I like the John Maxwell quote at the end.
These are good tips, I plan to utilize them soon.

Listening to you list off each of these I wasn't too surprised by any until, "Get some rest," - that's really good advice. I'd had a hard week this week with an illness knocking me back too. I still managed to get my game on, but wouldn't have managed if I hadn't taken enough time for myself to rest up. Great vid as always!
