Put his worst team forward and Man City put them to the sword. As soon as I saw that Bailey, Tielemans, Torres and Moreno on the bench I knew Villa didn’t show up to try and win or be competitive. what a shame
It was a strange line up! All i hope is that they learned something from it! It's clear that villa took a L on this one a free hit! If those players dont know now that we need to bounce back from this and show we are progressing then i don't know what more it would take! Perhaps we had 1 eye on uefa conffefence!

@@WingmanLive I’m not Aston Villa fan, but I don’t understand Unai Emery’s thought process. Watkins is injured fair enough, but what about the 4 other players that were on the bench. Maybe he’s keeping them fresh for the weekend, that for me just shows that he didn’t go to the Ethiad looking for a result. Was supposed to be one of Man City’s hardest games in the last 9, what a shame
Martinez Torres Watkins injured and McGIin That's the spine was suspended...put on top of that Kamara Cash Ramsay injured to a certain point we had less to pick from but Bailey and Tielemens maybe should have played..but we trust Emery to do what's best for the club overall.
@@joshuaw9675 Theres no guarantee Villa will win Eufa conffernce, and we still dont know if 5th place is going to be eligible for champions league!.. Point is should Unai go all in against man city and risk coming up short against Brentford? And maybe even against Llile? Way it works may turn out for the best even if we have to drop out of top four for a game or 2 with Arsenal away coming up aswell, our rivals are Tottenham and they're games in hand are Chelsea and Man City! So yeah if we drop top 4 i do fancy us getting back in and finishing there!

Good management from Emery we could of gone with the strongest side available but with the amount of injuries and McGinn suspension Not to mention Man City are one of the hardest teams to beat it would without doubt effect other games coming up. Some won’t like it because we beat them at home but that was a different game and at home. If we go ahead and beat Brentford and push on in Europe this was a good decision

Smart move from UE. The boys actually played a very well counter game. That Foden free kick just ruined it. Terrible from Zanny. Other than that we played well. It’s City at the Etihad. Expect to loose and move on

@@LG26 yeah I’m an Arsenal fan I remember that. It was baffling. He disrespected the smaller teams by playing a weak line up at the end of the season and it backfired. Had he made top 4 he might still be Arsenal manager

As long as it pays off, and we beat Brentford, the travelling fans will be ok with it.
We had a heavily rotated squad against probably the best team in the world. It was always ginna be tough... hard to beat teams that cheated to get to where they are. Onto the next one playing real football clubs ❤

Injuries and alot of games close together kind forced of his hand into making those changes.luckily spurs dropped points and we'll have a stronger fresher side against Brentford. Which should be an alot more winnable game.

Players have been dropping like flies recently...was surprised Bailey and Tielemens didn't start...but with Mcginn suspended...Martinez Watkins injured recently...having to nurse Torres through the rest of the season and Kamara Ramsey Cash injured we are not the same team we were earlier in the season and options are getting lean...The manager is robbing Peter to pay Paul with the squad now...if we get 3 points against Brentford and a good performance in Europe..tonights loss will be soon forgotten.
