@@LT72884 yes that's the American dream. One person buys new technology for a large price, and then the price progressively goes down as more consumers buy flat screen tvs leading to other businesses developing more flat screen tvs. Now we have ultra 4k tvs that are way nicer than that phillips flat screen in 97, and cheaper than your standard tube tvs of that era.

I remember when my family got our first flatscreen, it was one of the most impressive things i'd ever seen. How a 50 inch tv was so thin was crazy to me. Now it's just a normal thing that will eventually be replaced by something better.

    • @mr.g4952

@@EckRD I worked at a furniture store I was a pretty good salesman at the time. This was around 2005 all the way up to 2011, I was able to see the evolution of TVs go from projector televisions which were the really big ones, then we started carrying the Mitsubishi DLP's that still use projector technology but this where considered an evolution because they were much lighter and somewhat smaller. And right after the Xbox 360 era we started selling flat screens which were LCDs then those evolve to LED's. It still blows me away that people would purchase a LCD TV for $1,200 and then take it on a 24-month payment plan and pay close to three grand for it once they were done making all the payments.

I have never knew that flatscreen TV's exists in the late 1990s, but I do know, I seen flatscreen TVs in the catalog in the early 2000s. But my parents got their first flat screen TV in 2008 in which my parents still has it to this day. But unfortunately, I never had a flatscreen TV for myself in my life in which all of my TV's that I got it throughout my childhood was an CRT, however, I did got myself the first 20" LCD Computer monitor for my laptop as an extension in 2011.

baggy pants and loose clothing, the youth of the 90's, the older generation from the 80's hated this style because they used to rock the tight jeans and tight shirts. Can't believe the 90's youth dressed chicano style popularized by the popular 90's rap groups. Chicano style is simple loose clothing mexican gang members wore in LA. It was a style the 80's kids used to make fun of.

I rather drill an 18cm Hole into to wall and place the box in the next room to get this done! Don't trust an Ad! (The worst was, that the receiver for the remote control was in the box and not in the screen! I had to add a remote extender)
