Looks like a lovely stretch of river and a great way to fish. I've caught grayling on Yorkshire rivers while trotting for chub and barbel, but never targeted them. They're lovely looking fish.
Great video, helpful techniques tips and some lovely fish. I will hopefully be out next weekend and will trot this time as had Flu and don't want to get the waders on and nymphing gear. Cheers
Some great tips there. As lovely as it is to fish on the pin for the extra challenge, it’s a bit of a grayling cliche so good to show that it’s fine to use a fixed spool. Surprised to see them shoaled up like that as we haven’t had many frosts and they were spread out when I went the other week, a bit further upstream. Incredible how they grow so well in that river. They don’t live long either. Give me a shout if you ever fancy having a go at them with nymphs.
Understand why you fished the fixed spool however i fish the froome a lot at and the pins the way to go. Sometimes they want it at current speed. Sometimes at half speed and a pins the best for that. Other thing bring worms, the monsters love worms
@@vern6573 there are day ticket beats. See east barton estates. Theres monster dace and roach too. My pb dace was 15 oz at east barton and recently i witnessed a 3lb roach caught
Fished the Test last week… started on fixed spool but presentation far better after switching to pin … and far more fun playing the fish too
The vest is a must. I need to get one. Awesome video Korum and Nick,

Stop being lazy and get on the fly rod😂
😂
I must get out with the fly rod. Don't live for from there. I think our club run that stretch but I think you can get day ticket near Wareham
😂👍👍👍
Why handicap yourself
Why he wants to fish the float if he wanted to he would be on the fly wouldn't he 😂.
