Get a servo. Then for weight. Dont do brass knuckless. Get some injoras beadlocks. The weight like 40 grams per wheel. And you can upgrade the tires easily. Then shocks and motor ofc.
I do think it’s great for beginners for trail driving stock. I just wish the spektrum electronics were better!!!! Because for $20 more you can get something more scale and better electronics or something more comp with BETTER ELECTRONICS!!! Still love the videos!
Great vid and upgrades but I’ve moved on from the axial minis a while back. For me I really like what Fms and others have been doing with their 1/24 and 1/18 minis. You can’t beat these scx24’s though when it comes to modding them out and making them a very capable 1/24 rig.
😊i got one yesterday and plan to get it's Big Broski soon .... Probably for Christmas.😂🎉 Nice video....Thanks for the upgrades ..... Which wheel should be the best option.
I just got myself this rc crawler today and in pink and black and my first crawler rc i am a basher and racer driver😊 i am already looking for a trailer for it😊
Does anyone know if TLR typhon or losi 8ight XE shocks would fit the losi tenacity or lasernut? I want better shocks for my track DBpro… but don’t know what to go with! Help!
Would like something different and not another 24 I have stoped buying from axial because they haven’t come out with anything worth buying after the utb18 and I don’t like the scx24
Doesnt it seem a little silly to buy the most affordable model made and then drop a bunch of money on upgrades? I feel like a lot of reviewers are missing. The point with this one. This should be a $99 model that you get your kid. You let them drive it around and you leave it bone stock for them. You let them drive it and have fun and that's it.
@@MrRideslowrx Unfortunately you missed the point of this rig. Yes, it’s a cheap fun crawler for the entry level. But Axial also intended it to be a base model for builders to modify how they want. Says it right in their website marketing description.
@@rcdriver I totally understand the marketing and there lies the problem, the platform is so completely bare bones that it NEEDS to be upgraded if you want to do any legit mini crawling with it. Most consumers would be better off either leaving this thing stock, accepting its limits, and rocking it or saving a bit for something like a redcat ascent. The idea of a company manufacturing something from the factory that is completely subpar in performance that needs to be upgraded to perform decently is just a money grab. Surely that's obvious.
Its nice but they do good on accessories but the electronics are absolutely terribly & I'm sure they know this. They need to get rid of the Spectrum electronics.
I'm calling it right now, give it another year or so and Axial will release an SCX24 builders kit.
That would be sweet
And that I would actually buy
050 motor upgrade is awesome for cheap, too. Even with quite some weight the 050 will keep up much better with upgrades.
Agree fully
sweet video we are modding our BC now for a shoot this weekend. Love this body cant wait to run it with all the goods.

De-licensing the body for a lower pice is smart. So is the pink. My daughter might end up with one.
A pink Redcat Ascent 18 as an awesome alternative in case you're interested.
Nice upgrades all it needs is some aluminum links👌
Cool RC and nice upgrades
The pro-line shocks are awesome slowly putting them on all my 24s
what size

What do you recomment for better scale for 20$ or so...
What would you recommend to be better. Looking to buy one soon
Wish they did a roller. Love the looks not a fan of the electronics.
Roller would be cool.
It is a rehash. But I like it. Looks very capable. Axial give is a 2 speed like fcx24m.
They won’t even stop using those 030 motors.

Me during my SCX24 build: MORE BRASS!
Does that servo mount onto the Meus axles
We need more trucks!
Great place to start
How hard are is the servo to install

Nice video....Thanks for the upgrades ..... Which wheel should be the best option.
Looks like there is a pink version too. Something I don't see too often and I think is a good move. Cool build!

Debating on the blue or the pink one
Needs a motor upgrade, let’s see the new hobbywing 1/24 system!
That would be a 55" tire in 1:1.
Ya 24s are just to small for my taste they always end up goofy monster truck looking things.
😂
Will parts for this fit an ECX barrage 1/24? They look very much the same.
Do these parts fit on SCX 24 DeadBolt?
Yes they do
@rcdriver thanks. What tire would you have changed it to?
@@DirtydogMech Probably the Trencher or Hyrax. Only reason I went with the MT’s was because I had a brand new set in the shop that needed a home.
@rcdriver oh ok I understand. Do you know exactly what size? I'm a newbie to the RC world and appreciate this video to help with some basic mods.
How can i lift the body i bougt the same tires with 1.0 beadlocks and its hitting the body
the front body mount is adjustable. the rear though, is not. shave the body with a file or dremel maybe? or heatgun.

Adding all that weight + tires without upgrading the motor is a bit odd
Then that would be 6 upgrades. Not 5. The mission was 5.
I seen it compared to a C10 and it looked really small compared to the C10
C8809 check that out in comparison
Would have saved money on tires and upgraded the motor. But other mods are great.
$99.00🤔😮🤯
I think stock added a box. This model is the least capable of all their products. Definitely need some upgrades.
Like the rc couples Pink one better .lol Dang you ppl , now is a toss up for my 1sr crawler. That Benz unibog or this 🤔
I’m so disappointed with the Proline shocks. Put them on an fms and the springs might as well not be on there. They do nothing.
I have 51mm shocks, flex blades and a Y link set up, works great. Hope this helps
Dam, i like it
Would like something different and not another 24 I have stoped buying from axial because they haven’t come out with anything worth buying after the utb18 and I don’t like the scx24
Move the upper shock mount location to the frame you get way more flex
Cool truck for 100 bucks 😎
You know you don't have to hold that microphone, right? 🤣
Yup, like when I wore it while driving...
@@rcdriver The clip on the mic works in studio as well.
An FMS FCX24M Land Cruiser is a far superior option.
Get all the r1 upgrades for the b7 buggy
People be shittin on axial but mt traxxas that even had upgrades barely did shi
Ugly body and bad electronics. What a combo! 🤣🤣🤣
I’d like an ascent 18 at $20 more
@@someguyprobablyand add $50 in wheels and tires and it will perform better than any SCX24.
@@yiarkungfu i believe it, i just have an AX24 which i got because of the 4WS. I’d like an Ascent 18 or 1/10 Ascent

axial is such a looser company...
You dont have to buy one lol
Looser than what?
“Looser”
This is great 😂
