I am quite shocked at how this little girl’s parents and music teachers allowed this to happen. That one player with his hands over his head trying to pretend he was praying while he was laughing, got me rolling. I would have been the one player who couldn't hold back laughing. Not because she sounds bad, but the extra long held notes would have been too much for me. I sang in a singing group in college where we held yearly auditions. And people often sounded bad, and I didn't laugh, but there was this one guy who would just pause for an extra long time trying tl figure out the note to sing when we tried to get him to sing scales, and the long awkard pauses were too much for to contain myself and I cracked. Others guys in the group laughed too, but then they were pissed at me afterwards for cracking. I tried to hold it but it was tough. God bless people who can keep their composure in situations like this. I'm still working on it

You all need to stop hating on this little girl. Either she couldn't hear herself and that's why she's off key, or her parents and those around her have lied to her. Either way, it wasn't her fault. And her pronunciation comes from trying to articulate the words while also changing pitches and sustain notes better. It's a common singing practice. She overdid it but again, she's a kid.
I find it hard to believe that her parents let her do this without have a professional coach take a look at the performance first, and guide this child through the right approach. She obviously wants to do this type of performance in her life or she would nit be there in front of a crowd of people. Not negating her achievement, but the national anthem should NOT be a personal glamorizing performance, but rather an honorable rendition of the original song and its intent. ALL artist should keep this in mind and save their dramatics for their own songs.

Honestly as someone who sings the National anthem and is a singer, I feel so, so bad for this girl. Not only does she sound like she wasn’t trained sufficiently to sing such a hard song, but she was practically set up to fail. It is 100% her parents, and the Pacers staff fault for this one, and I hope she is able to overcome this.

@@lorifisher5568 You missed the joke. The joke is most people botch the anthem by fumbling or singing the wrong words. Many adults can't even sing the anthem when put on the spot. You all need to stop hating on this little girl. Either she couldn't hear herself and that's why she's off key, or her parents and those around her have lied to her. Either way, it wasn't her fault. And her pronunciation comes from trying to articulate the words while also changing pitches and sustain notes better. It's a common singing practice. She overdid it but again, she's a kid.
I find it hard to believe that her parents let her do this without have a professional coach take a look at the performance first, and guide this child through the right approach. She obviously wants to do this type of performance in her life or she would nit be there in front of a crowd of people. She looks fantastic in that dress and spent a great deal of time on her hair and such. Just needs guidance in her future endeavors. Good luck little one!
