Ok, something is not right about this "1968" Camaro. The '68 Camaro does not have the "wind wings" in the side windows, as Chevrolet added the internal air-vent package to all Camaros in '68. However, this Camaro does have the side-marker lights that were federally mandated in 1968. I would need to see the VIN on this Camaro to be sure what year it is. Gotta love the RS package with those hidden headlights, though. I had a 1968 SS (396) Camaro back in the 80's (and several other Camaros after that). It was a great car, and I wish I had never sold it now. This is a Great looking and sounding Camaro! 👍👍
The RS package you love isn't right either. The RS package rear valence panel has the reverse lights under the bumper and both sides of the rear tail lights should be red. So it's not a real RS. But they didn't claim it to be either. It is what it is. And that's OK too.
@TMc. Yes, you are correct. I did not catch that one. Also, I do really like the RS front end and the hidden headlights, UNTIL the vacuum motors fail, and the light doors no longer function. I have seen that happen many times over the years. As long as someone is not looking for a "correct" numbers matching car, this is a really nice 1st generation Camaro. 👍
67 was only year with vent windows but doors can be changed
probably just the previous owner that prefered the 67 doors.
Great eye
a 68 didn't have wing windows, a 67 did
Good call. I've owned both. That is a 68. It's got side marker lights. Obviously used 67 doors. Miss my cars.
Correct
I was just watching the video and thought the same thing lol.
Did someone put 67 model doors on it? 68 didn’t have vent windows.
Must have. It's got 68 side marker lights.
@@markmaloney3140 or someone put a 68 front clip on it..... BTW....the rear tail lights are different too on the 67 & 68's . Can't say on this one.
@@Rev22-21 Straight cherries on an rs/ss. But I cannot believe this car is restomod... unless they used 68 quarter panels. Why would you cut out rear quarters for makers otherwise.
Y'all are just going to trust Nick on this one.
He's the dude with the title, and he checks the VIN numbers, so I'll bet ya that it's a '68. Lots of people change stuff on their vehicles to things that they like. I know that I do 😃
@@gordonstroup882 Of course brother. Love Nick. No question. Just fun talking cars with fellow fans. Peace.
1968 Camaro did not have vent windows in the doors, 1967 did. Were the doors on this 68 replaced with 67 doors?
RS/SS did in 68
@@annemarie5273 no 68 was produced with wing vented doors
@@annemarie5273 no it didn’t. Basically. Thanks

Prices look a little steep this week.
Thats cause the market is making us pay more for our rides now. We have been going all over the country to keep them this low.
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate understandable. I'll hold out until you guys have something I like in the 15-20 grand price range
Another sweet ride with no brake lights.... People are crazy for not fixing that, and you, Nick, are lucky no one rearends you. Besides all of that, she's a beauty. I love these Camaro's; they are the 1st car that I got introduced to Hot Rods.
My best friend, God rest his soul, bought a 68 in California when he was in the Army. The Camaro was 10 years old in 78. It had a 327 with a 4 speed. It had a crazy, lumpy cam in it, and she was scary fast. Loved it!
If your gonna go as far as changing the stock stereo, don’t cheap out!!
"you're"= "you are"

UR
Nice car but I feel even though it’s a 68 that it’s a little overpriced! The B&M shifter was hooked up backwards and the car needs some electrical work! Overall it’s a very nice car!
Got 67 doors on it
sweet ride. my 68 is still in paint prison. beautiful car. I'm still looking for that ultimate 55. will get one soon. love your videos. keep up the good work.
I thought only the 67 Camaros had wing windows
They do
Beautiful vintage Camaro. That will sell fast.
68`s didn`t have vent windows.
It's a 67. Needs a radiator shroud for proper cooling.
those doors are off of a 67 for sure but the chassis is a 68. you can tell by the under-carriage shots (even though the camera was dragged and moved LOL). On 67 Camaros and Firebirds the shocks lower mounts were on the same side of the rear end. 68's had a staggered lower mount which is visible on this car.
And the side maker lights are from 68
You know me, I love them chirps!!! Nick buddy...that's a *CAMARO!!!* I think I've heard you say you had one, but this one dude, is a dream!!! Diggin your new jam by the way! See ya next video! ✌😎
May I suggest that you get a bunch those hand held air horns with your logo on them and give one to anyone who buys a car with a non functioning horn? You could also have some company branded Rain X for those with non functioning wipers.
Lol thats would be great
1967 doors do not just bolt on to a 1968, the hinges are different and I
I didn't notice, but was the transmission a powerglide, or was it a turbo 350 ? I do know that Nick was disappointed that the transmission kick down wasn't working. He loves to "ROMP" on some of the hot cars once in a while. This 1968 Camaro is very nice. Yeah, she needs a little work, a little fine tuning, but DANG, how can you not keep looking at her?!? Love the color, love the stripes and really love how she goes, looking gorgeous running on down the road!
"WHO-AHH"!
Must have been wrecked all to hell to have 67 doors.
I was born in 68 and I so want a 68 Camaro!! That one is sweet. I love the colors!!
Such an awesome ride man! One of my favorites!
68 didn't have the wing glass in the doors
Glad to see you getting 25 instead of 20 that's an extra gallon it might move the gauge
Thought 67 was the only ones with the wing glass
Drag lites look awesome on anything
68 with side window vents ..
Absolutely beautiful camaro! The color scheme is exactly what I would want on a 1st gen.
'67 Camaro. Vent windows, '67. No vent windows on '68 or '69.
69 has totally different looks.
It has an RS grill but the rs reverse lights should be underneath the tailpan. Also the 68s have solid red rear lens tail lights and they have 67 doors on it as well...It just looks like they nay have had a 67 and 68 and built one car...I bet that RS rear bumper isnt cheap so they just threw the 67 tail lights in there and i have always liked 67 doors so this is a cool little mixing pot of a car
either it's a 1967 or the doors are off of a 1967 the only year to have a post window
Nice SS love the color. My friend had a 67 with a built 350 headers and a muncie 4 speed 12bolt rear. Fastest car I ever was in.
68 doesn't have wing windows.
Nope but this one does lol
I love the blue with the white stripes accent and the motor has a nice rumble to it!! No wonder it sold already.
It's not a 1968 it's a 67 because it has vent windows in the door.68 has a full window but now I looked again it has side marker lights so it's a 68 with 67 doors
Beautiful car!!! Not surprised all ready sold!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Waiting for a 69 mustang to come in. Let me know. Very interested
Nick, i was waiting for that Ratchet Shifer to makes it's debut, but maybe
later...😁 i also noticed no more $20.00 but $25.00 in the tank and we all
know why.
I put 40 in the nova lol
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate 🤣🤣
1968 and 69 they went to one piece of glass for the driver and passenger glass
Sweet looking Camaro i would love to eventually have a car like this. But i would much rather have a 1950's Chevy 3100 short bed side step pick up truck or a 1950's Ford F100 short bed side step pick up truck. But still sweet looking car decent asking price.
Beautiful color, 68, is probably my favorite of the breed.and this one's sounds great too.
I agree Rick!
67 Doors are in fact on a 68. How to tell, 67 had no side markers, This has both front and rear. Also, the rear lights tell the story. This is a 68 for sure. I would have thought Maple Motors have seen enough 67's to know the doors and mentioned it first. Also, the guy beating on that vintage BM Quick "Click" Shifter. OMG bro finesse is the word of the day.
67 was only year with flip out vent window
This car has doors from a 1967 so I do I not know whats going on
There is a window crank along side the back seat bro.
Thanks for making these videos
Look forward to each one
Thanks for watching
Nice car and fair price..This is what I would like as I cant afford a Mopar, would trade and add cash for my C-3 vette..next one I may bite
Damn Horn!!!!!!!
Good looking Camaro!
Why would anyone pay that much for a badly restored car. Its a 68 camaro with doors off a 1967.
Sweet car, that's one of many, on my "dream cars" list! Lol! 💙💙💙👍
Hey nick this is Joseph in hot springs with u checking ur rides out I will be there soon almost got my money right
YES! I bet no horn
Fix it right then sell it for 29K. It's not worth 29K with problems like that.
But a nice and right 68 is worth north of 45K now. If you want one in the 20's is not going to be all done to a high standard.
Yep thank you
👍 👍
😍 that sound
Not meaning to pick this apart.....If there were no hidden rust under that paint or carpet it might be a good starter for a restore. Soda wash....a new paint job....an LS...... a metric overdrive.... a pair of 68 doors.....a four link....new wheels & rubber.....dash....carpet.... AC (and probably a heater core) .... exhaust...interior.....misc. Yeah it'd be a nice one.
Man you must have a garage full of tri fives and mid sixties muscle cars. Its not perfect but seems to be a nice straight camaro to my eyes. Coming from a 68 owner.
Looks like a 67 Camaro to me.. The doors and triangle glass is 67 only.. 68s did not have that it was solid glass with no Triangle glass!
Doors are changed out
That's a 67,you can tell from the side windows that were only available for the 1967,Camero
That is not 68 don't have wingwindows
68 cameros did n ot have.vent windows!
Enough of the door vents guys... Jesus Christ. It's sold anyways. Someone liked it enough to buy it as it is...
Nice looking car!
That's a 67 Camaro. The only ones that has vent windows is 67 .
1967 ? Vents on the doors .68 didn't have vents .
It looks like someone gave up part way through, slammed a MACCO paint job on it and sold it to the first person with a pulse and money. I love these cars but there is just too much wrong on this for just shy of 30k. I know the market is insane, which is why I would wait. Why pick blue light over things like a horn, working gauges, broken center console. When the market adjusts, this could be a good fix er upper.
One thing I’ve notice in the last 20 years. Classic cars go up in price , not down. Thanks
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate I'm mike in PA the guy waiting on lawsuit to come buy car I think a place that sells 30 to 50 month would know what they doing. And you pap who started in 83 or ? I'd go on his opinion any advice he gave I'd take to the bank I'm serious my friend and I will be visiting you in future and I love Mondays and MAPLE MOTORS I can't wait to shake you hand over a car I purchase see you buddy take care and God bless
Oops that's 68 tail lights
Bet it's sold already lol
68's don't have a wing window 67's do!
The doors are changed out
Looks like a clone of a 67 Camaro
A 67....68 did NOT have vent windows.....
Thanks buddy
And that Camaro has a frickin beautiful Bitchen color. Love your music and car lot. That Camaro just needs someone to take it over to your buddy's detail shop and hook up the speedometer n tac, etc.
Thank you
I am interested is this car still for sale ?
It is now on hold
I’m shopping for one now!! Can I give you my number in case another one comes in?
This ones gone for sure! Another sweet ride from Maple Motors. Thanks guys.
Hey Nick, you remember a rock group called the Dead Milkmen back in the 80s. They had a song called " Bitchen Camaro
Very nice car
Oh yeah and the tail lights are another give away to the year
Do you know the name of this color?
That's not a 68. 68's didn't have wing vent windows..........unless you put 67 doors on it.
Yep 67 doors on this one
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate : Is it titled as a 68?
