Just window shopping for now. Crystal ball shows something in the future, but the CFO isn’t onboard yet. The little 75 would work with my current dump truck and trailer. But the performance from a 65hp Bobcat to 75hp ASV would only be ok. Performance from the big dog 120 would be very noticeable. Unfortunately I would be into a new truck plus a new trailer. Performance would be greatly enhanced, but will my little small business be able to support the $150k transportation premium? It’s a solvable problem, I just need to put my thinking cap on. Cheers from the Bulldog 🍻
@@BulldogTractorThat is spicy! So I will ask, what is the hydraulic flow difference between the bobcat and the 75hp ASV? I assume it's significantly higher, fuel consumption is likely equivalent, and what is the advantage of the higher HP other than flow rate and lift capacity? I ask to learn more. Have a wonderful evening!
Bobcat is 27 GPM when the old girl was new in 2008. ASV 75hd is 36 GPM @ 3,300 psi. The older but bigger 120F is 45GPM @ 4,000 psi. Then there’s the cost of a new mulching head to complement a bigger machine. I could use the current Fecon head with the 75HD unit I saved up money. I don’t have a problem spending money, if I can safely make it back. But I’m getting nervous of taking to much debt on and increasing overhead faster than I can pay it down. It’s a delicate balancing act. Would be easier if I had full time employees. But that introduces a whole big new set of challenges.
@BulldogTractor If going to choose between the asv 75 and the bobcat t66 what would you choose? Are those extra creature comforts in the bobcat worth passing on the posi tracks?
Well thanks! I ended up renting another bigger Bobcat and did look at Cat & Deere. I ended up buying a Takeuchi TL12 and hope it will be a good middle ground of all the options out there. Working on editing the Takeuchi video and hopefully have that published soon! Cheers 🍻
ASV makes some nice equipment with easier to adjust tracks. What did you decide? Or are you gonna wait?
