When I read tha poem Brooklyn Bridge, I thought to watch that in you tube. When I watch that, the brodge, the river, the cycle rider, the neatness of the bridge, the moving of vehicles and you madam, everything is beautiful
Loved this video! Such a beautiful bridge with spectacular views of NYC. Jen, you look amazing and your presentation was excellent. The videography and editing are great, so well done. The history of the bridge was very interesting. Another great video which I enjoyed so much. Thanks for all the helpful hints on walking the bridge and how to get there.
Ever since I first walked across the bridge (as she says, from Brooklyn to Manhattan!) I fell in love. Now I always do it whenever I visit NYC. Truly a national treasure!
Excellent videography and editing. Great use of masking, timelapse, aerial footage and transitions! By far my favorite bridge in New York and I have walked and cycled across it numerous times. I still have to walk across it during sunrise though!
Looooove the walking the Brooklyn bridge ... one of my faves things to do when living in NYC 100% agree you gotta start from Brooklyn. But most tourist do it backwards
Agreed, so glad you see the difference and love it too, he's so awesome at what he does, I definitely want to have him help me more on upcoming videos, thanks so much!
Great tip on walking from the Brooklyn side to the Manhattan side. Can also walk the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn and then walk across the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan
Loved your video. The red dress against the Brown/ gray bridge was a smart idea - perfect set up I will cross March 1st and hope I do not get rained out
Very informative video! One of my favorite tip was the one where you said that one should start from the Brooklyn side as compared to the Manhattan side. I have walked over the Brooklyn Bridge on three different occasions when I visited New York and ALL three times I walked starting from the Manhattan side and had to keep on looking backwards to take photos or to see the skyline, so I said the next time I am there I will start from the Brooklyn side and here you came with this video. Thanks for all of the tips and info.
Just watched Ken Burns' awesome 1981 Brooklyn Bridge documentary and clicking around to see how it looks today. Loved this. Jen is completely adorable and lifts your spirit; grinned the whole time 💕 thank you and keep being awesome
Very nice, as always. I walked the bridge late last year. I took a taxi from Manhattan to the Brooklyn side, early weekday morning, and enjoyed the peace, skyline views right and left, minor graffiti and padlocks. I also managed to avoid the bicycle lane and, looking down, had a good view of the traffic directly below. My only failing was not wearing a red dress. Is it obligatory ?
Wow, another great video and very informative. Nice way to learn the rules for the Brooklyn bridge. That will definitely be on my to do list for when I visit next year. Such a sad history for such a beautiful bridge. Your photos look amazing. Kind regards, Michael
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Yes it is a sad history for such a beautiful bridge, but definitely a must-visit spot! Thanks so much, appreciate it!
@@Jenniferobrien you're welcome. The more videos I watch the more I see what a great city NYC is. I wish your channel all the best and looking forward to seeing more. Hope you're having a great day.
When I lived in Brooklyn I often walked across the bridge. Anytime before 9:AM was fine with less tourists and worst of all school classes both of whom were always wandering into the bike lane!
Loved the video! Have walked it twice, back and forth. On the Manhattan side, the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall is the most convenient, clean restroom and has a great view of the bridge!
Wow Nice view and how Good you have Explained I have once studied about this bridge in Book and I am very Glad to see it Hope to see you with more informative videos 😊
Hi Jessica , I also travel to NYC in May... maybe we will see us ;-) And Jennifer... thank you for this video. Greetings from Hamburg and a happy new year.
Jennifer, thanks for the video on the bridge, we have been planning a crossing from Brooklyn to Manhatan and your 1st rule rpoves we were thinking right. The other rules will make our crossing better and your photo sights will help also.
Great advice about direction. When I visited Sydney and walked across the harbour bridge I deliberately began at the North Sydney end (Milsons Point railway station) and walked south to Circular Quay in central Sydney. That way I could keep to the left side of the bridge, have a great view of the Opera House etc and not get in anyone's way. Interestingly bike riders have their own dedicated corridor on the other side of the Sydney Habour Bridge away from pedestrians, but unfortunately there are flights of steps on either side! Imagine climbing those with a bicycle on your way to work each day. :)
Wow that’s smart to separate the two but stairs sound annoying! I loved visiting it too when I went to Sydney didn’t do the climb on top of the bridge but maybe another day! :)
Hey, Jenn, Until recently I did not know this bit of family lore, but Franklin Edson, born in Chester, VT, as many of my forefathers were, was mayor of NY when the bridge was completed and was the first to walk over it.
It’s 2am right now, and I’m binge watching your videos. Your videos are not only exciting but they’re very informative. Also, they are edited so well. I’m glad to be a subscriber.
It's a beautiful bridge. Some tips are very good, but many are just stating the obvious. You don't have to keep looking back. If you actually walk the bridge all the way to Brooklyn, you'll encounter the Manhattan views on your way back. Also, Brooklyn bridge is very worth seeing as you walk away from Manhattan.
Superb video - it's iconic bridge and well known all over the world - my only pet hate is the amount of graffiti people have done and damage to this much loved bridge.
Oh both are similarly wonderful, depends which is closer to you and if it's a hot day Staten Island Ferry gives you extra breeze on the water, also Brooklyn Bridge can be very crowded especially at certain times, so depends on the photos and experience you're looking for, hope that helps!

Your tips are on point Jennifer! And that skirt is everything!!!
Agreed I love this skirt! Need to wear it in more videos! :)
Great video. And the view from Brooklyn to Manhattan is truly better. Makes sense. It is, after all, the Brooklyn Bridge.
Great tip on walking from the Brooklyn side to the Manhattan side. Can also walk the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn and then walk across the Brooklyn Bridge back to Manhattan
Yes great point wonder how long that would take!
I took a guided tour of the Brooklyn Bridge about 2 yrs ago. Lots of history in that bridge. Pretty amazing... enjoyed the tour...

One of the best views in NYC 😍
Yes seriously the best views!
Where are you from florida
BEST view is to cross the Manhattan Bridge - less traffic, higher elevation and view of Brooklyn Bridge
It is a pretty great sight . One of my favorite places in NYC.
Yes same total favorite!
Walking across the bridge at sunrise has to be an amazing experience! Great way to start the day

Hello! I have a question. Do you have to pay to go to the bridge?
Gigi Costa no, the bridge is completely free! :)
Editing on point with this vid Jen!
Thanks so much!
Very beautiful and positive American girl 😊
Hi really liked your bid but im just here to say that some times there are some fruit venders on the bridge and they moved the bike lane bye!
You need to do an update to the bridge

Thank you 👍🏼😊🇹🇹
I should have watched this yesterday bikes had me paranoid on the bridge.
Awwww no bikers are terrible on the bridge sorry!

Very informative 👌👌
Thanks for watching!
What time did you film in Brooklyn bridge?? Thx
Trying to picture PT Barnum leading those elephants across the bridge 🤣
Omg yes I cannot picture it either! What a crazy day too bad it was pre-vlogs and UA-cam!!!
Is there a way going to the walkway that is wheelchair accesible?
Thankyou
Thank YOU! :)
What Would you recommend Brooklyn bridge or system island ferry ?
Oh both are similarly wonderful, depends which is closer to you and if it's a hot day Staten Island Ferry gives you extra breeze on the water, also Brooklyn Bridge can be very crowded especially at certain times, so depends on the photos and experience you're looking for, hope that helps!
hi jen. ❤️ brooklyn bridge ❤️ and u look amazing ❤️
Thanks so much!
I am your new subscriber 😊
I want to go to NYC so bad😩
Im visiting 1st week in Aug. Im nervous of the metro the most
How much time do u need in this bridge &
times square?
Can one climb on the side of the bridge and sit on one of those rails above the cars? Is it illegal?
LA at 4:45- and I wonder without Brooklyn if New York would be the top 5 most populated city in the United States?
Wow Red goun
Did you trip at the end of the video?
Yes that is correct I learned the hard way not to wear heels on this bridge the skinny heels kept getting caught in the wooden boards there :/
@@Jenniferobrien I'm glad you're OK! Good job on the video too
Wunderschön!
How is the crowd on a Saturday morning?
It’s not great after 11am but if you go at 7am or 8am it should be almost empty like this
@@Jenniferobrien Thank you. Appreciate your reply. Will be visiting NYC for the first time in September.
