Porsches forever have been mindblowing to me. They all sound more like fine tuned instruments. They dont pop. Fart while downshifting, dont sound like mosquitos. Just pure tones up and down their revs...they're getting quite big though.

I'm old enough to remember when Porsche said that from an engineering perspective anything over 3.8 liters is inefficient. But they didn't invent these pistons yet, computers did that
i always prefer the NA Porsche to turbos just because of the sound alone

Personally i think that if Porsche would put a little more effort in Cayman, just like they do with 911, it would be a faster car, just bc mid engine platform is better.
but they won't because that's the whole point they want u to spend the extra. idnt disagree tie a very capable car bit why would u put effort into that when u got a model people happily paying x0000s more for
it's like the boxster that was a very capable car but they limit its airflow greatly and detuning so without a little tuning and better airflow it could be on par stock 911 levels definitely cayman plus but they don't because if u want more buy a cayman and so forth
