UK Government Stats: There are 246,000 gambling addicts, and 600,000 people, are dependent on alcohol Are they going to clamp down, on alcohol availablity? I don't think so
Everyone says Cheltenham is diluted and should be 3 days, Punchestown is the most boring ever and 5 days. This festival should be 3 days at the most and probably 2 days.
I really enjoyed Punchestown. I find it interesting that Cheltenham feel that 7 races a day is maximum, when Punchestowm has 8 races a day, lots of good handicaps as well as the Banks/Cross Country Races.
Agreed, Punchestown is an excellent meeting with interesting races and a relaxed atmosphere. I travel over from the UK every year, and will continue to do so. Naas is a fun place in the evening, and the Blessington lakes and hills are a site to behold. Something to which I look forward to very much each year.
@@bigfan2710Cheltenham is not the same now . It’s been on a downward spiral since the 4 day festival emerged in 2005 It will only get worse . Greed destroys EVERYTHING ❤
You never get bookies on to ask them the difficult questions, wonder why , oh the coral box the bet 365 box shall i go on ,all the freebies, bet non of you have difficulty betting or withdrawing get accounts restricted.
Re the Guineas: I couldn't fathom why City of Troy had been crowned as "the best ever" before it got anywhere near the start. I ca remember past Guineas when the "experts" were cautious before the race about some seriously good horses e.g. Xaar, Frankel. Had they trained on? Would they stay? Here we had some very good and storied judges making some unbelievable claims, "we're going to see the best since El Gran Senor". It didn't make logical sense, especially as you could make a case that what City of Troy had beaten at 2 may not have been a vintage crop. The 1000 was an open race and the winner probably isn't getting the credit deserved. Did Ramulette stay? Tamfana - possibly unlucky but an unlucky loser? That said the form has to be taken cautiously given many where chasing Ramulette down in the last furlong.
I am no rocket scientist but O'Brien has a 13% strike rate in Ireland over last 2 weeks, so City of Troy running was no surprise. What is surprising is that racing press have not mentioned this at all? Am I missing something?
Everyone with an online account knows that it's not when you deposit that they do affordability checks, it's when you try to withdraw.
