- It was great to be back on my trusty steed for our first after work hack of 2024. Although Tissy is less than enthusiastic about hacks from home and even less so about, what she considers a pointless gait, having to walk the majority of it. She's always been this way, this pony loves adventure, spontaneity and speed. She is not one to enjoy a casual plod around the block.
Unfortunately for Tissy, a casual plod around the block is a requirement for being able to go on adventures. So were building her work back up slowly so that we can head to some nice pleasure rides.
She's not maintained as much weight as I would have hoped over winter and is a little skinnier that she should be. But with the grass starting to grow I'm hopeful that she'll maintain and improve her condition. Improving her muscle bulk and fitness will only help with her overall health too.

I love seeing Tissy out and about for a hack. She looked mildly bored with all of the walking, lol. When Fluffy and Izzy showed up, she perked up and went into "What are you doing here"mode, lol.
She really dislikes walking anywhere 🙈 x
You are lucky with your horses. Mine would chew and paw at anything left lying in the stable one even nibbles at her rug if bored.
I've had a few I would have to clear the stable out for but on the whole they're really good x

Love seeing Tissy get out and about for the first time this year! She's just seen and done so much that local hacking appears to be beneath her (in her mind). 😅🥰

She looks amazing! It was reassuring to hear that SuperTissy is a bit bouncy and choppy. My 3 year old Lippitt Morgan looks like she will be too. Any tips on pony/rider comfort over long miles?
I ride out of the saddle the majority of the time, sitting to her canter is not an enjoyable experience. I guess you just get used to them 🤷♀️😆 x
