I'm an arugulaholic. I love it on pizzas, on steak, in pasta, basically anything I eat I could happily have arugula with it. That's why I'm here. I like your video.
This video is wonderful and your voice....the calmness reminds me of my grandmother ( not as in age)...you sound confident in my ability to a good job in this task. I can't tell you how much that means to me. She spoke to me the same way the first time she sent me into her kitchen to cook for her all by myself. I was just a child and had never cooked 'anything'. I was so nervous. But it all came out wonderful. Thank you for the instruction and, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the confident tone of your calming voice. This is my first time attempting to grow arugula. God bless you and keep you.
Thank you very much for sharing with us! As we grow greens not directly in grunt shall we wash them up with Veniger or soda before eating to protect from parasites?
hi your arugula greens look amazing! I'm growing some on pots and I noticed that some of of the leaves are curing a little bit. Is this normal? Thank you :)
I love Arugula. I like to saute it with some olive oil and other spices just to have greens on my plate with my dinner. I also sprinkle some in my spaghetti sauce. Great video.
Thank you, this is definitely easier and better way to grow. Currently I sowed and transfer to pots and its very tedious work. Great video. How many hours sun does rockets needs?
Can arugula handle a lot of water, if the soil drains well? I'd like to grow this outside, but I live in a very rainy climate. It grows well on our patio, but I'd like to grow a lot more
@@EasyPeasyGardening Ok.I love copper for those purposes. Put a copper wire around the black bucket, and slugs and pests cannot crawl up, like a salt barrier. Copper sulphate sprayed lightly on leaves kills fungus and other pests, and it's all natural. Wish me luck, I love arugula
Hello! Really great and inspiring video, thanks. I just planted my arugula on a small pot 2 days ago, it started to germinate already, but I like this idea of yours putting in a plastic tub, do you know when can I transfer them without destroying the roots? Thank you so much.
Someone told me to never grow food in a plastic colored container due to it contaminating the soil. Have u had any issues with the quality of ur food? THANKS FOR SHARING🌸
Nice video with nice leaves , I grown in but after 3-4 weeks, leaves turned brown and it seems burnt in sun, although we watered nicely, do Arugula needs plenty of water and partial sun in summers of Delhi under polyhouse ? Kindly advice, thanks
Thanks for reply, our Arugula are in polyhouse, I suppose they require cooler temperatures, even though we have desert coolers, but at any point hot air hit tiny plants,
I live in Singapore and where I stay, my plants get dome shaded afternoon sun. I only managed to grow my Arugula to about the equivalent of your 1.5 weeks. They then just withered off, leaves kinda break off . What advises do you have for me please?
@@EasyPeasyGardening, thank you for replying. I believe its jot enough sun as my balcony only has shaded late afternoon sun? I am lost too, now trying to grow them hydroponically
I sowed the seeds around 13 days ago and they germinated after which I kept the in balcony getting shaded light. I live in Qatar so currently the daytime temperature is close to 40degree C. The seeds have turned leggy and droopy. Any suggestions how to revive them?
is there any way to get the get the seed from the flower and regrow the arugula? and Thank You for the tutorials it's very easy and i'm planting arugula soon 😁
Dude some of the biggest arugula farms in the USA, are grown next to barns amongst the weeds it’s ridiculous, this is a plant that thrives with basically no care whatsoever
I really appreciate this video! Not all videos show the end result, which is what most people are looking for. You deserve more views!

WOW! Only six weeks and what a gorgeous harvest!! God is sooooooo good❤
That is true
I have to cover mine with mesh. The chipmunks love the new tiny sprouts!
Yeah, I need to cover some of my vegetables too
Thank you very much for sharing with us! As we grow greens not directly in grunt shall we wash them up with Veniger or soda before eating to protect from parasites?
You can if you want to
When it’s summer what I should do keep them cover ?, how often you put water
You can put stakes around it and use garden cloth to cover it. In summers I water it everyday
hello from Boca Raton Florida Thank you for sharing this was a lovely video 💚 I'm enjoying my arugula that I planted 🪄
Awesome

Keep an eye if they curl too much, it could be a pest problem

Oh that's nice. A friend told me the same thing just this weekend.

3 to 4 hours
Hi! Could you add a link to where you got your plant containers from? Thanks!
I get them from warehouse store
and they are food-grade plastic?
@@SuperDupersDelight I have not checked but I don't think it matters for growing plants
It very much does if one is going to eat those plants... Thank you, though! 🙂
Yes hello, thank you for your video. How long do you leave the lid on for?
Till the time they germinate
Easy Peasy Gardening thank you 🙏🏼
Very inspiring. What kind of tub/container is it that you used? Thanks
It's a big storage box in which I have Ave drilled holes at the bottom
Can arugula handle a lot of water, if the soil drains well? I'd like to grow this outside, but I live in a very rainy climate. It grows well on our patio, but I'd like to grow a lot more
It can but generally leafy vegetables are susceptible to fungus and other pests with too much water. You can try it.

@Dolcepesca s thanks for the info. I will check out copper sulphate. All the best
Very good video with wonderful explanation, love from Pakistan 🇵🇰💙
Thank you
Very good video. You showed the stages of growth.
How deep is the tray/pot? Thanks for nice video
About 15 inches but it doesn't have to be that deep
@@EasyPeasyGardening thanks!
We are here in the tropical climate Philippines, if I may ask. Do arugula plants need full sunlight?
2 to 3 hours of sunlight is enough
Thank you Ma'am.
Best video on planting arugula ! Thanks !!
Hello! Really great and inspiring video, thanks. I just planted my arugula on a small pot 2 days ago, it started to germinate already, but I like this idea of yours putting in a plastic tub, do you know when can I transfer them without destroying the roots? Thank you so much.
Once they are about 4 inches tall, you can transplant them.
I really liked this video. Shows all the stages of growth of arugula.
Thank you
A very useful video, thank you. Also there was beautiful birdsong in the background. Where are you located?
Someone told me to never grow food in a plastic colored container due to it contaminating the soil.
Have u had any issues with the quality of ur food?
THANKS FOR SHARING🌸
Nope
When do you harvest the arugula
You keep harvesting the leaves when they become 3 to 5 inches long
Amazing video! Excited every time you post! Thank you!
Do I need to thin the seedlings or will they grow well close together? I planted very densely
You can snip off a few at the ground level
Thank you, much less complicated way of growing. Do you use a particular type of plastic tub?
No, I don't. You can use anything, just make sure it has good drainage at the bottom.
How many leaves do you get per plant?
Oh too many. Countless. I was cutting and more were growing
Nice video with nice leaves ,
I grown in but after 3-4 weeks, leaves turned brown and it seems burnt in sun, although we watered nicely, do Arugula needs plenty of water and partial sun in summers of Delhi under polyhouse ?

Yes, partial sun.
Or may be only indirectly sunlight. Delhi summers are very hot
@@EasyPeasyGardening thanks, will plant in.partial sun

What brand seeds did you use
I don't remember, I do not look for specific brands
Will they grow in 30C weather?
probably not

@@EasyPeasyGardening, thank you for replying. I believe its jot enough sun as my balcony only has shaded late afternoon sun? I am lost too, now trying to grow them hydroponically
@@BillyKueekSG I think they got too much sun. You need to keep them in shade and water more often.
@@EasyPeasyGardening, ok
Hi, what is the best fertilizer for it
I mostly use compost
I sowed the seeds around 13 days ago and they germinated after which I kept the in balcony getting shaded light. I live in Qatar so currently the daytime temperature is close to 40degree C.
The seeds have turned leggy and droopy.
Any suggestions how to revive them?
Give them more light, it's a delicate balance, maybe no direct sun, just indirect light
This is a cool season crop. 7-18 Deg. C
wow very helpful thanks for sharing
Wow, your arugula looks great! Where do you get your compost? Is it homemade? I aspire to grow mine that well💕
I make my own compost, just posted a video yesterday about making compost
Can I plant seeds in November?
Yes
Does it grow again, the one you cut?
Yes, many many times
is there any way to get the get the seed from the flower and regrow the arugula? and Thank You for the tutorials it's very easy and i'm planting arugula soon 😁
