I actually stayed there for a couple of days visiting a friend of a friend who was studying there. Watching your video now, I remember there were many quirky sculptures.
hello, Im a prospective student too but for fall 25. Could you please share your experience at KuL ? I can't seem to decide between it and University of Edinburgh.
I love the Flemish cities! They're the perfect mix of 'northern' quality (infrastructure, cleanness...) and southern 'joy of living' (architecture, food, street life,...). My top Flemish cities are Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges!
Thank you for watching! What's your favorite, lesser-known tip for what to do in Leuven for someone who wants to visit Leuven soon? Leuven is the best!
@@happygoluckytravel Good question! Go to the local Sunday market in Heverlee, buy some fresh produce and have a romantic picnic in Arenberg castle afterwards!
Thanks for sharing this vibrant and eclectic town! We just returned from Portofino, Camogli, Santa Margherita, and Chiavari, all based on your videos - it did not disappoint! We'll add Leuven to our list for 2024! BTW, what country / region have you settled in, or is this TBD?
We're happy to hear you had such a great trip to Italy! We're still TBD, and always look forward to discovering the new and rediscovering favorites. Enjoy your travels! Thank you for watching.
Hi thank you for making this video. I have been very interested in this city. Could you please tell me if its safe ? It looks it but my idea of safe is being able to walk home very late at night if need be. Thank you so much
Leuven seems quite safe. I'm sure there are some sketchy neighborhoods somewhere but we always felt safe walking in the center of town, even at night. It would be interesting to see the crime statistic compared to other Belgian or European cities though. Let us know what you find out. And thanks for watching.
@@happygoluckytravel thanks. Yes I had seen the statistics but given it is close to Brussels, touristic, and not having been there, I was curious about what it actually feels like in place. Thanks for replying
Nice and beautiful
Thank you for watching!
REALLy nice video, I'm from Leuven and you really showed the best places!

Well done, Emre and Maia! Leuven seems like a wonderful combination of classical architecture, cafe culture and convivial crowds.

@@ayseg253 Once you leave Brussels by entering Flanders you enter another world. Not that all of Brussels is very unsafe either.

Small correction, there are about 110000 inhabitants in Leuven (center and communes) and every year we add about 50000 students to that amount.
Thank you for watching our video and the correction about Leuven Belgium!
09:42, "French tartes"? Noooo! This is not "Tartes françaises", this is "Tartes de Françoise". Please read carefully before commenting.
Thank you for the correction and for watching the video so carefully. We appreciate you!
Beautiful town. The video has annoying audio, though, terrible music and narration. Adding only some titles would've worked better.
Maybe this comment is for another video? This one is first rate 👍
