The Purple Martin Female Noon Song may offer some important additional Purple Martin Vocalization calls and Melodies that other tracks lack, especially since these calls are mostly Female Calls. Bird Songs and Bird Calls are a good way to attract Purple Martins to your gourds, houses or colony. This recording os good alternative to the Dawn Song and other Purple Martin videos because of the number of Females producing these Bird Calls.
This recording is the first in a series of Purple Martin soundtracks which will be cataloged by Time of Day, Predominate Gender and Activity. This recording was created using DOLBY Audio mixed to the video of the Wyze V3 outdoor camera. The first 18 minutes include Full HD video and Stills of the Purple Martin Colony which is located in the Albemarle Sound in Hertford NC. This area is a gathering point for the migration of this species. The remainder is a soundtrack for playing and attracting Purple Martins to your Gourds or Birdhouses.

My first martin came to the new nest while playing this and using a decoy. The only thing I don't like about this recording are the sounds of house sparrows mixed in in big doses.
I posted a similar comment about the house sparrows super loud calls nearly drowning out the Purple Martin chatter.😵💫
I had a house sparrow visit and was chirping mad at my speaker
play in my video Martin calls no martins I seen a couple that came to the new nesting box but left and now I have native bluebirds making nests in the four openings I guess I'll just keep the bluebirds seems like the martins didn't want it or something but anyway the song worked and I did get Martin's but the bluebirds I think like it better! these are native bluebirds the state bird of Missouri!
This worked better for me although the Dawn Song was a great help, the birds seemed more responsive to this cut.

I feel like I’m hearing a lot of loud house sparrow chatter almost more than any Purple Martin songs. Does anyone else hear that? 🤔😵💫 after listening to more of it it does get better but you can still hear the sparrows pretty loud:
yes I hear them, I don't allow them in my yard,they break eggs,kill babies. I have bluebirds, Tree Swallows, I killed around 45 in 2015, haven't seen but around 4 since, I took care of them.

Well it's a learning experience. What may help is the activity observed. These were 95% females and they were on porches and on perch platforms and they were very --- what I call animated. The males were not really seen. I can imagine males would be attracted to whatever these females were doing. Thanks!!!

I had caneras on my housing on poles for 3 months 24 hours daily. I have other sections of time/activity to share bug it takes all-day to make a 2 hour video. There are a lot of edits to make this. Ill do it if theres a real desire out there.

The way i used this was a bluetooth speaker near the houses and i played it in an auto repeat mode all day.
I placed my first pole up and brand new this year. I am playing the songs and my neighbor 2 miles down the road has martins. I just now started seeing tree swallows this morning. I have 12 gourd pole. I was reading that I should move the tree swallow nesters gourd and place it on a hook? Luckily I bought 12 extra gourds for an extension but didn’t put this up this year due to being brand new.
I wish there was not so much house sparrow in this recording.
Thats something you might want to research. Ihave tree swallows besting about 30 feet away from my PM's without issues. What kind of opening is on your gourds?
Yes if you're trying to get purple martins for the first time, you need to keep out the Tree Swallow away from your gourd rack, he will claim the whole gourd rack. Bluebirds will do that to.
Place a gourd, bluebird house about 30ft away, when they nest there, they are very Territorial and will not allow another tree swallow around your Purple Martin Gourd rack. Tree Swallows are very pretty, and cousin to the purple martin, one Tree Swallow can eat 8,000 flies a day, a lot of mosquitoes to, I've seen farmers put up 25 Tree Swallow houses up on their farm.

Do other birds try to build nests in a purple Martin house?
yes house sparrows, starlings are the worst, most people use the SREH Starling resistant entry holes but doesn't keep out house sparrows, both species are invasive, brought over from Europe in the 1800's, they kill our native song birds for nesting cavities. I have bluebirds, Tree Swallows, purple martins, I don't allow them in my yard,I trap,shoot them. They're not protected by the law 1918 bird treaty Act.
Other birds use cavities, bluebirds, Tree Swallows, house Wrens, chickadees, Carolina wren, house finches.
Great for calling purple Martin's too bad UA-cam has to scare ruin it with advertising that scare the birds...
