These words, taken from 'The book of disquiet' by Portuguese writer Fernando Pessoa (translated by Richard Zenith) define the song Saramati.
Based on the beautiful yet moody raga Saramati, these words intertwine with the breezy Carnatic classic, Sengathir Vaanam. Renowned saint-poet Sri Pithukuli Murugadas, who has written this song, talks about the joys of living an unpretentious life and finding God in nature.
Saramati resonates this message of simple living along with the wise words of Pessoa.
