I spent a long time thinking of which intro I should use because I had already used the other two and I didn't feel "white people be like" felt particularly appropriate, because these all pretty much have "don't lecture me" energy to them, but then it hit me.

holy crap you made this song so epic sounding! i absolutely love the visuals and the piano when the song kicks in!
yeah I spent a lot of time trying to get specifically the visuals right on this one because I hadn't done too much visually in any of my other covers. the site lags a lot when songs get too long so I had to splice it up into a bunch of chunks to get it to run well. I tried to make the screen pulses line up with the ones in the original music video. I spent a lot of time on the colors in particular because there's just a lot you can do with it. in the intro segment I made it flash blue along with the melody b/c that's what it does in game, and for the rest of it I thought it would be funny if I tried to encode lore into the color flashing. I don't remember a whole lot of the lore but I've got some bullet points in memory that I attempted to represent somewhat.
@@radiotomatosauce99 thats neat, i’ve always enjoyed when a screen moves/changes color to music (especially in rhythm games) so stuff like this is really cool to see. you make it look really easy, but i’m inspired to practice this website anyway even if its hard because stuff like this is possible with enough practice

listen to the song a lot and look up "piano tutorial" videos to minimize the amount of note guessing I have to do. I already had a strong intuition for guessing notes because of other covers I've done in the past in other programs. The whole process actually becomes very easy once you get into the groove of it and get good at staring at midi piano roll notes.

Do you make these covers all using the 30$ website, or do you use some other program to put it in the website? If it's the first one, that's some dedication
there was one time when I tried to see if I could make a program that could "combine" two .🗿 files together, so I could make all of the parts of the song separately and then mix them together into one file (still requiring that I make the parts in the website). It barely worked, it was a buggy mess that required a lot of manual tweaking to function anyways, and I only used it once (the last segment of the The World Revolving cover), but honestly, it probably would have been less effort to just do it manually instead of reading C++ tutorials. Other than that, I haven't ever used any programs for making 30$ covers, both because I don't know of any programs that are public (I saw one guy who made a midi importer but didn't release it), and because I can't imagine importing a midi file could ever sound as good as a Handcrafted™ $30 cover without serious reworking. To my knowledge, a standalone $30 editor program like Mario Paint Composer or something that lets you edit in piano roll format does not exist yet. Plus, it's really funny when a ridiculous amount of effort gets put into an ultimately stupid joke, especially if it also sounds unironically good at the same time. I think of it as operating under every definition of "Based" simultaneously. I would definitely welcome a standalone program that makes the process easier, as it would result in more and better $30 covers from more people, but I can't deny that some aspect of it would be lost without needing to endure the Horrors. The site lag can go, though. Those Horrors are unnecessary and my Chrome Web Browser cannot take it any longer.

Maybe it isn't as hard to make songs like this in the 30$ website as I think it is, but either way, all of your covers so far (especially The World Revolving) are very impressive and are unironically enjoyable. So I downloaded this beat (because it's fire af, like come on) but am unable to figure out how the divider system works to make the song transition to the different sections, could you shed some light on that?
if you're referring to playing the files in sequence, there's (currently) no way to do that. I did it in the video by editing clips together in post so the visuals would look good. if you want them to play in sequence, you either need a lot of tabs and perfectly timed clicks, or you need to play a file that just has all of them together, probably with animations off so it can run well enough to sound right (a file with all of them combined should be in the drive, but if I forgot to add one I'll put one in)
