The issue with Camilla's plan is that she depended on humans remaining fearful and ignorant against vampires and night creatures. You have to remember the Belmonts were the only ones fighting their kind and it was implied that they were all dead, since Trevor was under the radar. Now in Season 1, during the final village battle before Alucard was found. Trevor had taken lead and told villagers not only how to fight but he also told them to 'spread the word'. This is apparent in Season 3 when the Judge was explaining things against the night creature battle flashback. His soldiers knew about salted blades, while adding dung to them. Also in that same season Dracula's death is also known and being talked about among people. So the most powerful vampire is dead and people now know how to fight them and other creatures. In fact both of them were impressed when that arrow cut through letting sunlight in which burned Striga! So at that point not only they realized they will be fighting forever but humans were getting smarter on HOW and WHEN to. Another thing that led to more people uprising against them was that not only Dracula was dead, but also the top hierarchy! Godbrand, Cho etc. Camilla was the only one left alive.

For Isaac, Hector, and Dracula it is personal.
The vampires generally tend to view humans as livestock, but some of the vampire generals are more sadistic as per their raid on the human village in S2. Morana and Striga just view humans as pigs with boots, but like Dracula, understand that humans "think, and scheme, and betray."
The vampire sisters seemed to be more upset about the scale. Lenore in her first convo in S4 seems to dislike the idea of war in general, or "killing most of the people, and caging the rest" and seems disgusted at the quip of humans as "self-replicating food" so she may have actually been horrified about it. This kind of makes sense since of the four she actually bonds with her human.

It's a good thing these two realized how ludicrous this feeding pen idea is after that first wave of attack.
As Morana stated that they not only would she be keeping soldiers and supply lines forever but Striga would have a hard time defending the borders of their convoluted "empire" against scores of humans who more or less know how to kill vampires like the Belmonts.
And pretty sure those supply lines would run out for Morana and some lucky asf human on the battle would eventually kill Striga even with her Day Armor on.

I love how they show that no amount of bloodshed is going to stop the humans from trying to be their own species in the world. The may believe themselves a higher form, but they know they are no different than the humans in terms of ideology. They're just living beings trying to survive, just like they are. And a living being will fight to not just survive, but to *live* in the world. Thus constantly clashing only makes things worse, not better. It's not that the two of them feel they're necessarily wrong but they know that the humans also feel the same way; not being wrong to want to live free.

An very big plus for the series is these moments. The dialogues are just beautiful. Discussing deep and detailed issues like the logistics, consequences and logic behind their actions, exploring the implications, doubting motives and separating fantasy from reality, touches that make these scenes portray the relation between the people talking (like Morana putting her feet on Striga) etc. it's just so detailed and rich in every aspect it makes it a beautiful experience.

Honestly.... This just makes me think so much about how most media and fiction portray the obvious "bad guys" team.
Somehow, always having limitless supplies, limitless firepower, and limitless stamina to continue their reign for eternity. I mean, it's like their soldiers don't sleep, don't tire, don't hunger, and don't question their own roles. It's like somehow, they're ok with fighting rebellions forever with their own civilians and people under their control.
Yet here, the approach is realistic:
"Is this really worth it? We'll be fighting rebellions forever, trying to keep humans under our thumbs, yet we can't be everwhere at once, humans may even eventually surpass us when we least expect it, and we won't have enough time to ourselves to actually enjoy life".
Really loved this scene's reason of thinking.

He was not bored with his immortality or hated it at all. That was never the source of his pain. In the original canon, his only impetus for becoming immortal at all was out of spite due to the loss of his wife. Immortality was an expression of his sadness, not the cause of it.

Wallachia was a vassal state of the Ottoman Empire at the time, and between those two nations were the Hapsburg protectorate of Croatia, the Hungarian Banate of Bosnia, and the Ottoman vassal Serbia.
In other words, not only would they have they have to keep battling internal rebellion, but they would also have to try and hold off the 3 most powerful empires at the time, who may have been in chaos at the time, but eventually would've gotten their sh*t together and bought the full might of their imperial armies down on them.

I very much enjoyed the differing character progressions taken on this. Some where slight like Sypha learning to be more open and expressive and trevor learning to trust others.
Others grew more like Issac learning to stop thinking how others would think and to think for himself, or Striga and Morana coming to an understanding about what living forever actually means.
And then you have characters who didn't have character growth like Carmilla who was as brutal and manipulative from the start till the end. Or the up and down of Dracula from starting out seeming soft natured with Lisa, to going full on lord of darkness, just to end up soft and placid by the end again.

The reason, all competent leaders stop expanding after a certain point. No matter how grand a nation is, you can't deny the reality that in the end, you will have to deal with the logistical nightmare set in front of you. Otherwise, your nation will collapse. Very few people can handle that task, and almost all of them would much rather do anything else.

If you play Fallout New Vegas, Ulysses comment about the legion fits in perfectly here, in order to maintain the Empire, even when it was to create a huge feeding pen, would require more resources then they then selves could make, add in the fact that they only steal resources and it creates a problem, they have to keep conquering in order to survive, they have to fight endlessly and they’ll be halted by the sea

    Smart move, in the end.
Immortal they may be, that can live a thousand lifetimes as rulers, the years of constant rebellion and war would have taken their mental toll.
Leaving nothing but husks with scepters and crowns, drained of spirit and emotion.
