friend I finished reading the whole book now I understood everything that I mention the area May will be the pressure I learned also about much more drainage now it will kkk to modifying it.👍Thank you for the book. It helped me a lot.
Glad I could help, sometimes it is better to slow down and rethink I understood my problems better when I had left it and went back to engine jet building and I though why did I do that !
reedy93 It's hard to find people just like you humble This engine I'm thinking of making a mold for me to make another one later much cooler I want to ride a single plane is a dream Thank you so much, my friend Decoration.
Hello my friend how much time So it makes me doubt if I'm right or not Closing the second stage of the diffuser the internal pressure of the chamber should increase I'm making another engine To do a new test I lower the fins so that the oxygen comes out a bit more compressed under high pressure?
It's really cool bro
Nice turbine parts Chris. Looks like it's just needing the compressor and compressor diffusor. Real nice machining work on the turbine wheel.
Thanks they are spares for other engines really.
Hi Jeff just found your comment again, how's your jet building going ? ,hope you are OK with the lock in.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😎
Your compressor is 70mm o/d so that combustion chamber is the shortest/ smallest you can design / make .
I will try to find other drawings of a radial compressor and radial turbine wheel design engines.
reedy93 Good night, my friend, thank you, my love, everything is not even good, thank God!!!
The books by Kurt Schreckling KJ66 and Thomas Kamps model jet engines.
The best running is Kurts KJ66 design but it is not easy to make and was designed to use cnc m/c parts and cast NGV and Turbine wheel .
You can do a bit'sa design by using Thomas Kamps design easier to make but use the combustor of the kj66.
The FD3/64 also designed by Kurt Schreckling is a very old design now and very low power but it is a working turbine and can be made very cheaply just using a lathe every part is made only the bearing are bought but needs many mod's to run cool and reliable don't expect more than 5 to 6 lbs thrust without mod's /updates more like 4.5 to 5 lb thrust.
Which mods can you do? Do you now where I can get plans for the revised combustion chamber. I heard the best combustion chamber is fed from the bottom of the engine with hypodermic needles like the kj 66
@@davidwittmann6555 Hi David missed your comment but just uploaded a video that should give you the info ,remember the FD3/64 is an early engine, the combustion chamber above is the only one to easy retrofit.
the fuel cannot be feed from the bottom as the engine does not have one but works fine fed into the front and using hockey shaped sticks.
@@reedy93 ok thx
Hi I have been watching your videos with great interest. I am really impressed with the accuracy you are able to make parts for your engine. I am currently working on an FD3/64 with the modified combustion chamber. However i am really struggling with bending the Stainless steel pipes. Could you share with us how you bend pipes so nicely?
Hi Anders I think i show it in one video i used Car brake pipe benders for the main rad ,the diameter rad is critical to get all the pipes to fit in the pattern mine were a little bit big but using standard car brake pipe benders.
The last 15mm slight bend facing into the centre was the trickiest bit
ua-cam.com/video/W1DdQyYw2Kc/v-deo.html
The video below shows the pipe bender at the very last seconds think I had to used a imperial one at1/4 inch my tubes are 6mm o/d but i got away with it.
think it did 3 different sizes of tube if you can't find one from that picture i will try to find it and take a better video or try and find a link.
ua-cam.com/video/x53gu2by1uI/v-deo.html
link below for similar metric one you will need to check if it produces correct rad.

Nice work, those turbines look nice.
No compressor? I wonder if one could be 3D printed
Thanks, they are spares for working engine, the compressor wheel was m/c as drawing out of aluminium but without the top for obvious reasons but like you say it should be possible to 3D print but at what cost.
keep up your videos if nothing else it give you something to do in winter and gives you a record of your hobby's.very hard to keep people interested.
Hello my friend I made the combustion chamber already I wanted to know what kind of glue you use on the exhaust part of the engine so it does not leak the pressure inside the engine???
On the FD3/64 the NGV and Body are welded one piece,
My Kamps and KJ66 do not have any sealent on, the NGV screws/clamps to the oil filter body with a ring and does not leak.

reedy93 My friend, very good, thanks for everything, a hug.👍👍👍🙄🙄
plz! Tell me The name of the song!
What book is everyone talking about?
Cuál es el motor???
T/KAMPS CC DESIGN !!
friend good night sorry to bother you again I've read the whole book but I still do not understand the part of the Burning Chamber of the combustion one hour he says that it is with 6 mm And another he says that it is with 14mm that drill I devousá it to pierce the combustion chamber I can use a drill of How many millimeters to make the foundation of the combustion chamber my rotor and compressor is 70 mm?
good Morning
This is an old design combustor which works in the FD3/64 but would no suite your engine.
Give me 1-2 days and I will find you some information .
reedy93 Good morning, my friend. Yes, I'll wait, thank you, my friend.
This is the GT2000 drawings. it's a simplified KJ66 for home building shows the combustor hole sizes.

reedy93 my friend, thank you so much, I'll take a look.
reedy93 my friend once again thank you very much I saw very good manual understood it all now I'll start to start the project combustion chamber fire pipes and put the bagasse to roll. Kkkkk😂😂.
Where/how did you come by 310 stainless? Thanks.
There was a steel stockiest early on that sold 75x 75x3mm blanks he was a GTBA member and went on to do a small production run of his take on the FD3/64 called the PT35 this was over 25 years ago .316 will do that can be found on Ebay.
Actually I am making fd3 . could you tell me please that the book say to use 608bearing which dimension is 8*16*5 . Could I use 8*22*5 dimension bearing it's few large than? Sorry for bad English.
Hi Andrew you English is fine. it is better to stick to the smaller 688 bearings as they are lightly loaded. i use caged ceramic ball bearings in mine which are fine for the low rpm of the engine, standard steel ball bearings are fine for setting up and testing.
There are a lot of mods you can do to improve the reliability of the engine one is the oil and air flow to the front of the front bearing and the bearing tube is made of aluminium alloy with no air hole in the middle.
Hello guys I make fd3 64 engine but I think some thing is wrong with combustion chamber when I run the engine exhaust get red hot and too long flam going out of exhaust
The FD3/64 was Kurts first successful design,as you know you make everything and is very hard to get right the turbine wheel makes the most difference start there to improve it have a look at my video on shaping and grinding the wheel.
@@reedy93 thanks for replying what think about flam is going outside combustion there is any way I can send u video .u see video and tell me .I post video on my youtube chenel check there. Thanks
Hi am building engine of my own but am stuck. I need help. Am not sure about my dimensions. I designed with Google sketch up. Can I send my mod so you can have a look for me or anyone who know this subject. It will mean the world to me before I start trying to fabricate or buy parts. Thanks and God bless
Hello reedy93 I can't spin the combustion front plat .I try to spin on lath but it crack from the rounded aria.can u give me some idea.to fabricate front plat
Good to here from you again, are you working on the FD/64 or are you making a KJ66 ?
@@reedy93 I m working on fd3 64 just need combustion. Another combustion still I have problem with hot running. That's why I want make new combustion
@@umarzaman6500 can you make a video showing your tooling /spinning tool and set up .
@@reedy93 ok I will post a video tomorrow
What is the name of turbine wheel' material??? Plz tell me ..
The wheel which is on the shaft is the original designed wheel with a welded on boss is made of 316 stainless or 310 stainless most important part is that it is professionally welded boss (also 316) by TIG if possible .
The sold wheel is 718 Inconel which came in heat treated state and is very tough to machine I had to slit grind in between the blades ,this wheel has a 8mm hole and must be bolted on i use a solid shaft not 3 piece as in the book.
@@reedy93 tq
Hi
Hello, can i use single shaft which dimension is 8mm its thiner than the book say? Will it effect to performance?
Hi, no the shaft must be at least 12mm in the middle section best made all one piece in steel turn out of a 12.9 cap head bolt for the shaft,Kurt warns in his book about the bending whipping force on the shaft at high rev,s.
@@reedy93. Thank you so much for feedback. 😊
How can someone contact you? Kindly advise
Not doing any jet engine building now ,gave all my tooling to Umar see his channel ua-cam.com/channels/odTAZNftub7XepIwddd7ow.html
to make a engine powerful enough to fly a scale jet best to buy a commercially made one to achieve good power a professionally cast turbine wheel is needed with home made turbine wheels the revs must be kept low so low power.
@@reedy93 how can I contact him? Kindly advise
@@kenyachristianapologeticsp9635 Ask a question as you did with me .have you have you got a problem ? ,have you started a build of a engine?

Hello, can you tell me what is the fuel consumption in this type of mini jet engine?
very inefficient about a 1lt for 5 minutes this engine is high throughput low pressure and with any engine the higher the pressure or compression ratio more efficient .
