It's really strange how it's been left like that. Maybe it was a test/maintenance train? Looks like they then stripped it for parts? Maybe used for filming something at some point?
These are old MI84 trains from RER A, half of these trains have been reassigned to RER B and the other half has been abandoned and scrapped, and among them, there are some trains that have been around for ten years in this abandoned tunnel, ravaged by tags Regarding the condition of the trains, they were not dismantled by the RATP but only stolen and vandalized
hiii im french and i realy like your videos of the french metro or the french train. i can tell you what kind of train we saw in this video so, we have the MI09 the train that you've seen pass threw the tunel. and the abandonned train that you've seen is a MI84 that is still in service but it beggins to be remplaced by most modern trains :) and you where in the line A of the french RER ! continue what you are doing i love your videos ! :)
Reminds me of the Subway trains in New York in 1978. The difference being the ones in New York were still in operation. You could not see out of the windows for graffiti and in some carriages it was dark inside because of the graffiti all over the interior including the lights. You could see where the drivers had scraped the paint off the windscreens of the train.
@@benolifts Just be careful as we train drivers do travel in rear cabs, and always take a look at this interesting tunnel… It is a frequent behaviour that we have (and it is compulsory during our shifts for security reasons, we can’t travel with passengers), so much RER or Transilien trains do have a driver travelling passenger but in intermédiaire / back cabs, from where everything can be seen !
@@Z50000 I didn't realize that traveling in rear cabs is common. I surfed a lot of RER trains and didn't check if anyone was in the rear cab. That could have gone wrong. With walking the tunnels, I didn't think to hide from rear cabs, just the front ones. Would the driver in the rear cab care if he saw us? Also do they look out for the trashed train tunnel to spot vandals going there, or just look out in general?
@@benoliftsI mean, I'm not a train driver but I believe that if a driver in the rear cab spotted you all doing all that, I believe they would give a damn
Happy to see the train is as clean as when it was still in service!

Interesting, plus it's an MI79 or MI84 train as the ones found on the RER B line but in its original condition ! Great !

It's always really sad to see something abandoned, especially if it has graffiti.
Bro risking his life
I'm surprised it hasn't been set on fire
Ring Ring! Yes, hello-who is calling? Good afternoon Sir, I am 1981 and I want my graffiti back.

It’s funny how the train drivers don’t care
They do care. We were just good at not being seen
