so the story of this song is a girl, who rolls into a nuclear reactor

Its a good song, that's all u need to worry about
Both songs have in common:
- about a girl coping badly with depression
- suicide (maybe the same method too, depends on interpretation)
- key lyrics in both songs describe ‘chocking’ someone out of breath
- both songs have a heavy underlying theme of guilt
- a sense of rush implied by lyrics
and in this mashup there is an original instrument added by the remixer at 0:50, i always subconsciously associated that sound with ‘distorted police sirens’ hammering in the fact that both girls share immense guilt in their own ways, where they feel like they need to ‘escape’ it somehow.
While it feels like miku is aware that she is obsessively pushing herself into her doom and can’t stop, rin is more laid back, longing for her own end and trying to meet the metaphorical ‘meltdown timer’ (as seen in the original pv) as if waiting is too long for her. Even in their singing style, miku is repetitive in the chorus, her tone escalates quickly in short notes, as if she is running out of breath, completely destroying herself until she fades out, while rin drags her notes in an almost angelic way(?) if that even makes sense, reaching high notes after each verse like she is singing to the heavens, not restricted by any worldly things.. singing as if she wants to make sure she runs out of breath to her blissful end.
One other detail i like is how their vocals glitch out and corrupt, it breaks the immersion of the story a little but in reality they are voice synthesizers, not humans, they don’t mumble or stutter, so it feels appropriate that they strain themselves into glitching their words out, really plays in the theme of rushing, each girl just wants to get her words out before time takes them away.
When you think about it, each song miku has about something rin has an equivalent to it in terms of themes, this one being depression.

no, no. Meltdown is (at least imo) about destroying your PAST. The "you" strangled in the dream is the narrator's past self.
meltdown is more on the part of burying the past.

This Vocamash is really good. Most Vocamash-ers don't tamper with the songs and just put the songs together to mash them up, but you tweaked the songs in such a way where it made the mix better. Thank you.
meltdown: wanting to forget about the past and forgive herself
rolling girl: getting bullied into self harm and suicide
together: someone who is constantly bullied for something wrong they did in the past, but they want to forgive themselves, but it ends up getting so bad she commits self harm and eventual suicide
You could add a whole other layer to this with the song both being two sides of her consciousness, one who wants to forget the past and forgive herself for whatever she did, and the other side where she feels like it’s hopeless and that self harm and suicide is the answer, and in the end she’s conflicted.
From what I get: This girl gets abused in school so she wants to roll into a nuclear reactor...?

Two amazing vocaloid songs make an even more amazing song 😌
This was just for fun but the mashup story is about a girl who tries to grow out of her past because people bullies her for not acting like an adult she is now. She can't help but keeps crying of how her past was and it just keeps happening like it is now, people bullying her. Now later, there was another person who is bullied too and both of them becomes friends. They both would be there together but turns out the person was pretending to be bullied and the girl became betrayed, leaving to a nuclear, committing a suicide. Year later, the person would ponder why they keep thinking about someone until realizing the person they keep thinking was the girl and truly did cared about her. They keep blaming theirself for her death and decide to commit suicide as well, to be with her. They commit suicide in the same nuclear. Now both of them grown out of the past and promise again, that they wouldn't do anything bad for each other. I know there are lot of flaws here but I'll allow you to add more to this story.

What I like about this mash-up is that effort was put into it. They didn't just slap the two songs together in Audacity like in a lot of mash-ups I've heard.

a girl with her best friend, both of them suffering from abuse, bullying and hate, they sing a song of her problems, one of them says she wants to roll into a nuclear reactor to die holding her breath, the other one wants to be covered in pure light being melted down, rolling down the hill in a sunny day along with her boyfriend.
This song is truly beautiful, I was inspired by this so much that I actually drew a picture of it plus adding World of Warcraft to it. :') Thank you vocaloid, if it werent for you I would still be drawing like how I did when I was in 6th grade.
