Самый трогательный, тяжелый момент в этом фильме, как умирал Ункас, как умирал Магуа, так умирали настоящие мужчины, стоя, без страха, трудно было выбрать правильный путь, ведь Магуа тоже потерял свою жену, близких, и умер достойно, а Чингачкук, вот что может отец за сына.

For instance herewith the Michael Mann movie and the novel by Fenimore Cooper one can catch the amost western mytholigical spirit of that times, very far away. Altough the reality was quite different: I am just saying that the Native People of Urons were not bad guys, ‘cause they wished so. Mankind is no good at all, and cicumstances make him worse: a killer may be.

I have been thinkinng about readint Coopers books since always and i haven`t read any of, but i had watched the last of mohicans ,the movie for like 50 times. I have also find a depiction by the last of the mohicans book of the 70ties and pre WWII ecranization. I don`t mind reading Coopers books in english being polish.:)

Alice and Unkas such a lovely couple. Without telling or showing to each other their eyes told them that how much they love each other. A true woman in love will never go to any man to save her life. This what Alice did. She saw Uncas die and she went along with him. That is such an emotional heartbreaking moment.

The scenario for the film. To arouse strong emotions in the audience. Falling off the cliff at the location shown in the film would mean being impaled by a strong branch from the trees below. And die for three or four days. In real life, the woman would look for a suitable opportunity to escape or kill her husband's murderer and then escape.
It's one of the greatest movies in history... & That scene where incus dies then she jumps .. I perfectly understand it..❤

still gets me Everytime ..from watching it with my dad to getting some friends to watch it...only 1 was enthralled as me , that music just tells the story son well you could watch it with your eyes closed and still see it in your mind ...films just don't have that quality and sound track....that chase at the end was sad but you couldn't have it any other way ....thats going to be playing in my head all night ...simply hood damned epic
This is arguably one of the most captivating movie soundtracks I have ever heard and seen. The soundtrack has a way of sucking one into following the story line. Quite moving and emotional. This movie and soundtrack should be well over 30 years since it was produced. Honestly, people who lived around that time in History really experienced extremely tough times in trying to survive. It was like "survival of the fittest"!!!
Truly, truly great, this brought a tear to my eye .... thank you.

I get a bit emotional and upset at the events that transpired in this movie. I felt upset and sad that Uncas was killed by that vicious Bavarian Mohican. He should have waited for his two other colleagues. It was sweet revenge for his death when that Barbaric Mohican was killed. The movie was a description of a true life story that happened in 1757 during the War for supremacy for America between the British and French.
Honestly, a lot of Wars have been fought in the past and many people perished!
Kudos to the makers of the movie...it looked and felt so real !!! The soundtrack easily sucks one into the story. What a story! What a movie ! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant ! I still watch the highlights even after about three decades that it was produced!👍🏽
