mooncloth will be used for bloodvine set - mandatory for every caster DPS in raids for a long vanilla time, sometimes those fire pants from thorium bross. Bags also. The nature resistance 3-piece set (no only head) is optional - casters likely won't be picked as soakers for Huhuran so only resistance pots needed. It would be used however at the optional Viscidous boss (unless you have trigger happy shamans with totems). T3 tokens also require mooncloth as well as arcanite bars to get the gear (Naxx tier sets). I'm making fishing/herb/alchemy gold right now to get funds for my shaman set (arcane crystal is 40-50g, cured rugged hide 35g).
Key thing to remember about having alts on a 2nd account: mailing between characters on the same account is instant, but takes time between different account. Not a big deal if you plan properly. yea but the moonwells are far from mailboxes.. so if you had 10 characters doing this your going to spend like 5-10 minutes on each character just creating the mooncloth and then running to a mailbox to sell/mail them to an alt. :/ kinda defeats the purpose of the farm
I would go LW for Cured Ruggeds (very cheap to level, and sells well troughout classic) and Alch for arcanite transmutes in the start, but switch over to making essences of water after most warriors have their lionhearts. Or skip alch for tailoring to match the 96h cooldowns if you have many alts
I don't advocate the use of mooncloth for bags. Traveler's backpacks drop frequently enough from high level content that their price is on par with material cost of a mooncloth bag except that buying a Traveler's backpack doesn't burn your 4 day cooldown. Bottomless bags are even worse material sinks. The material cost alone of a bottomless bag is approximately 250g(depending on server I'm sure). It's going to take most people 3-6 months to get to 60 and save enough to buy their epic mounts. After that, it's going to be pretty hard for them to justify spending 250g for 2 extra inventory slots. My advice would be to stockpile your Mooncloth for the pre-BiS tailoring chestpiece (Truefaith Vestments/Robe of the Archmage) and, later, the ZG bloodvine set. Sell any excess directly on the AH.

ColtonMetal oh no, I did see that though! He briefly touched the arcanite farm. I had decided to make a full video on this arcanite/mooncloth grind for a while now ;)
The real thing with Arcanite will be Lionheart helm at start and later Titanic Leggings... Sylvan Crown (if Blizzard doesn't FUCK UP itemization) should only come with NAXX, so in last phase (phase 6 atm) as it was added in patch 1.11 in the old days (like most - not all, most - RN receipes from Cenarion rep) Bloodvine Set (comes with ZG) is THE real thing made with mooncloth (and Truefaith Vestments) Arcanite Reaper? 59 twink weapon?? Why would anyone have a 59 twink on a classic server? (maybe on a TBC server..) i've never ever seen a 50-59 Warsong or Arathi pop on any private server i played on (even the ones with very strong 19 29 and 39 twinks community, level 49 twinks were even very very rare...) ... so no BGs and a BIS 59 twink would be face-rolled by most 60 so it's the most useless twink possible :) Considering Honor System will probably not be implemented in early game i guess most pvp warriors won't bother crafting Arcanite Reaper cause it's very exepnsive and will wait for MC 2 handers to drop... and you'll be able to raid MC in PUG right at level 60 on most servers due to extreme knowledge of the content (even if it will probably be different from what we're used to on privates it will still be MC)

If you spend less than half the time just farming gold with a simple gold making strategy rather than leveling 10 level 35 chars you will have enough gold for throughout vanilla. It is not that expensive.. And yes, I played on 4 vanilla servers in active raiding guilds since 2014 I know what I'm talking about. I've raiding among the most tryhard people in the scene, and I haven't heard of any person in the top guilds on either faction utilizing this gold making method. It's simply too time consuming compared to the gain.
That's what I was thinking. ***Using VERY ROUGH estimates***. leveling 10 characters to 35 will take a good 30 hours or so. That will take 300hr to get all characters 35. Add the time it takes to level both profs I'm sure that will add another 20 hours just to get them all to the required level. Not to mention you need to make gold on a fresh server to fund all the leveling mats to level up. What is that another 500$ per character? 5k gold even with 100g/hr which will be hard without Diremaul, so 50g/hr is more possible. That is 100hr of gold farming to then spend 300-400hr farming all alts to max level with req profs to make 20-50g per cloth/transmute? It would take like 2 years for those lvl 35 alts to pay for themselves. 500hr of gold farming should net you 25k gold even with the basic 50g/hr farm. Even if you cut those hour/gold requirements by half you're still looking at 250hr or 12500g farmed or 10 prof alts all at lvl 35. You would need to do 250 transmutes/clothcrafts with a average profit for 50g profits to make your gold back. That's almost a full year of breaking even before you start earning profit.
@@cortlandboudreau3351 Your rough estimate proves my point. Even if you farm something as mindlessly boring like bats in EPL that will garuantee a 25g/hr at minimum, after 500hours of gameplay you will sit at 12500g. This amount of gold will buy you pretty much everything you will ever need for your character throughout vanilla. I even think you overestimated the time it will take to make a level 35 character. I would consider 30 hours fast. This gold guide comes from a person who tries to apply the current goldgaining methods from retail wow into vanilla WoW and expecting to have good results from doing so. This guy in the video does not know from experience what he is talking about.
druids if you want an easy access moonwell hunter if you want a very easy leveling time warlock if you want an easy leveling time and free mount, and if your guild would appreciate low level warlocks in silithus to summon people to AQ or one of every class so you have a part-way leveled class if you want to switch characters. or one of every healing class since they are the most needed class to recruit into raiding guilds
no moonwells for horde!?!?!?!? what a mistake, you have one in 1k needles/feralas border at the ally camp. and you can easily skip the guards by going up the ledge and come to the moonwell from the back.
ChEvApEr yea they’re there but they aren’t easily accessible or next to a mailbox. Your gonna spend minutes running around on a couple of characters kind of defeating the purpose of this farm.
Do you realy need 10 :)) ? , what will you do with so much gold ??, no achievements reward if you gold cap :P And the time to lvlup 10... i think if you have 2-3 alts it's ok !!
Erati243 depending on how you go about power leveling you characters, will differ how quickly you get them to 35. But I will say about level 40-45 is the 50% mark to level 60. So getting your characters to level 35 isn’t bad at all! You can power level additional characters on your own by grinding from 1-25 with a level 60 character beside them. And then level up those last 10 levels solo. But maybe 3-4 months you could get a full account to level 35 if you go 6-10 hours a day on leveling those guys. So you could still get 3 or 4 reasonably to 35 and making those cool down items
Yury Kurchenkov lol I thought these two were the most profitable?? But your not the first one to point that out.. I’ll have to throw that in another video soon!
Graysfordays i pretty sure, dat salt shaking CD gives more gold, than mooncloth CD. Cuz cured rugged hide needs in devilsaur set craft in the beginning plus a lot of DM and BWL release patterns for BiS items need 1-4 rugged hides. And another good part of LW - it is cheaper to lvl it, than tailoring for 35lvl alt. Of cuz everything is IMHO Prices for fresh Northdale server were: Arcanite CD: 20g first 3 weeks, 15g next couple of weeks, 10g till 3rd month, next 5g. Cured Rugged Hide were around 15-25g as i remember. I didnt buy or sell mooncloth, guess it's price was around 20g
never ever create a mooncloth bag. its not worth it travellers backpacks are the 16bags youre gonna see everywhere. ive played on 3 different servers and travellers backpack usually goes for 6-12g while 1 single piece of mooncloth usually is worth 19-26g
The prices on private servers aren't right compared to what you'll see on retail. In classic back in the day, travellers went from anywhere from 25 to almost 100g for the first number of months
@@KA-gd1lg dafuq u mean prices arent right? its a player created economy?! prices cant logically be "wrong" in that sense. prices were higher cuz way less people were doing high level content which means less bags dropped. but on classic the same knowledge will be available as on priv servers, knowledge that wasnt available 14 years ago if u said dropchances of bags are wrong then yea ok maybe, thats up for debate. but if dropchances are correct and will be the same on retail then how tf would prices be THAT different? naturally prices are higher early on. maybe maybe you can create some mooncloth bags very early on to benefit from people not reaching 60 quickly. but once many people are there mooncloth bags will not be worth
@@eleb3153Well, first of all, Dire Maul won't be out on release, which is where most traveler's come from on Vanilla private servers. I appreciate you putting out creative thought provoking content. Just had to point out that the numbers just don’t add up on this one. I mean it’ll take ~3days /played to get to 35, probably more for the average player. If you play 8 hours a day just on leveling, it’ll take 10 calendar days to get one char to 35. For someone more casual who maybe plays 2-3hrs/day, it would take nearly a month to get to 35. At that rate it would take a casual 1/2 the games lifecycle to get an account of transmute bots setup. Then for profit, you’ll probably realistically net 10-20g per transmute as “tip”? Over the course of 2 years, each transmute bot would net ~11k gold? You can farm dire maul vendor trash for ~150g/hr+. If you did that for 72hrs you’d beat the net income over 2years in the same time it would take to level that alt in the first place. Just saying. But it was an interesting video, thanks!
Dire maul vendore trash is 150g/h? is that some private server data or its actually possible at vanilla when it comes out? could you elaborate?@@jamesthom9196

Wtf I literally just watched a video about this on Classic Winds Channel. Did you guys team up?
ColtonMetal oh no, I did see that though! He briefly touched the arcanite farm. I had decided to make a full video on this arcanite/mooncloth grind for a while now ;)
The real thing with Arcanite will be Lionheart helm at start and later Titanic Leggings...
Sylvan Crown (if Blizzard doesn't FUCK UP itemization) should only come with NAXX, so in last phase (phase 6 atm) as it was added in patch 1.11 in the old days (like most - not all, most - RN receipes from Cenarion rep) Bloodvine Set (comes with ZG) is THE real thing made with mooncloth (and Truefaith Vestments)
Arcanite Reaper? 59 twink weapon?? Why would anyone have a 59 twink on a classic server? (maybe on a TBC server..) i've never ever seen a 50-59 Warsong or Arathi pop on any private server i played on (even the ones with very strong 19 29 and 39 twinks community, level 49 twinks were even very very rare...)
... so no BGs and a BIS 59 twink would be face-rolled by most 60 so it's the most useless twink possible :)
Considering Honor System will probably not be implemented in early game i guess most pvp warriors won't bother crafting Arcanite Reaper cause it's very exepnsive and will wait for MC 2 handers to drop... and you'll be able to raid MC in PUG right at level 60 on most servers due to extreme knowledge of the content (even if it will probably be different from what we're used to on privates it will still be MC)
This is awesome! I plan on leveling every class again so why not do this! Also thanks for mentioning classicwow.live its pretty cool
RX7FDfreak yooo glad I was able to show you a different perspective! And yea the websites going to be pretty sweet once the game is out and we have a more active community in it!
@@Graysfordays definitely man its what it's all about! You got a guild? I'll be running one on a pvp server. I can give you our discord if you're interested.
Love this guide thank you soo much😁
tailoring is a lot easier to lvl to make alts to just make those
Bro this video haha legit subbed you man what are other old tricks as big as this one
I really love your content bro. Keep it up my fellow drood friend! By that I mean, I hope you are a drood! Thought that cause of your tribal leather guide... whatever, keep it up!
haha thanks man and yes... drood for life!
You should have mentioned the best classes to pick for the alts.
druids if you want an easy access moonwell
hunter if you want a very easy leveling time
warlock if you want an easy leveling time and free mount, and if your guild would appreciate low level warlocks in silithus to summon people to AQ
or one of every class so you have a part-way leveled class if you want to switch characters.
or one of every healing class since they are the most needed class to recruit into raiding guilds
It's Re-agent. Not regent. It's 2019 come on.
It’s not, not nor.
Thank you. Scrolled through the comments to see if I was the only one who cringes when people say that.
no moonwells for horde!?!?!?!? what a mistake, you have one in 1k needles/feralas border at the ally camp. and you can easily skip the guards by going up the ledge and come to the moonwell from the back.
and there is one more at raynewood retreat in Ashenvale.
and another one at mystral lake in ashenvale too, and if i am not mistaken you can use azshara one aswell.
ChEvApEr yea they’re there but they aren’t easily accessible or next to a mailbox. Your gonna spend minutes running around on a couple of characters kind of defeating the purpose of this farm.
@@Graysfordays well, we the horde can all roll druid alts and use moonglade teleport then if you are looking for the absolute fastest time that is.
ChEvApEr I noted that as well 😅
Do you realy need 10 :)) ? , what will you do with so much gold ??, no achievements reward if you gold cap :P
And the time to lvlup 10... i think if you have 2-3 alts it's ok !!
:D haha I'm an over achiever... if I'm going to do it at all I want to go all the way! lol we'll see if I actually do it in classic or not ;p
@@Graysfordays I gold cap in Wotlk and Cataclysm and quite the game, i burnout.... , i want enjoy wow vanilla hard way !!
Kry Rex you make a good point! I may take that into consideration!
Graysfordays you didn’t make the video about the leather working profession, so is it better than alchemy later on in the expansion at making gold
@@Graysfordays so did you actually set all this up in Classic?
You deserve more subs than you have my friend. Gods work
the wokest comment in here :D thanks bro appreciate it
horde better use the moonwell on the border between feralas and thousand needles
using silithus, hearth set there, got 2 lvl 40 mages on both accounts so i can just teleport all 20 alts to org/uc if need be.
Is the fel cloth dealer still in the game?
Yes in Vanilla! I'm not sure about retail tho D:
@@Graysfordays Do you remember the name of the vendor I can check WOW head for him
Can you give a brief explanation of how to actually powerlevel the chars on the 2nd account and about how long it would take to get each char to 35?
Erati243 depending on how you go about power leveling you characters, will differ how quickly you get them to 35. But I will say about level 40-45 is the 50% mark to level 60. So getting your characters to level 35 isn’t bad at all! You can power level additional characters on your own by grinding from 1-25 with a level 60 character beside them. And then level up those last 10 levels solo. But maybe 3-4 months you could get a full account to level 35 if you go 6-10 hours a day on leveling those guys. So you could still get 3 or 4 reasonably to 35 and making those cool down items
Why didnt u say anything about leatherworking CD? Salt Shaking
I didnt buy or sell mooncloth, guess it's price was around 20g
never ever create a mooncloth bag. its not worth it
travellers backpacks are the 16bags youre gonna see everywhere. ive played on 3 different servers and travellers backpack usually goes for 6-12g while 1 single piece of mooncloth usually is worth 19-26g
The prices on private servers aren't right compared to what you'll see on retail. In classic back in the day, travellers went from anywhere from 25 to almost 100g for the first number of months
@@KA-gd1lg dafuq u mean prices arent right? its a player created economy?! prices cant logically be "wrong" in that sense. prices were higher cuz way less people were doing high level content which means less bags dropped. but on classic the same knowledge will be available as on priv servers, knowledge that wasnt available 14 years ago
if u said dropchances of bags are wrong then yea ok maybe, thats up for debate.
but if dropchances are correct and will be the same on retail then how tf would prices be THAT different?
naturally prices are higher early on. maybe maybe you can create some mooncloth bags very early on to benefit from people not reaching 60 quickly. but once many people are there mooncloth bags will not be worth
@@eleb3153Well, first of all, Dire Maul won't be out on release, which is where most traveler's come from on Vanilla private servers. Also, almost all of the mobs, items, scaling is different on private servers, so you won't see the same leveling speed as we do on private servers. So prices should hold out on a higher rate for much longer, I'll assume drop chances are sort of similar, even though Nost said they were all made up. Even by the time TBC came around, Travelers's still held a high price, take care!
Did anyone do this?
Need help getting the site live and setup? Love the idea.

This guide is idiotic. The /played time to get 10+ characters to 35 far outweighs the potential profit
James Thom I think it’s pretty neat, look at it this way. It give you a chance to “trail run” all of the different classes in the game to 35 and provides you with tons of different gameplay while setting up a huge cash stream until the end of time. Just depends on how you look at it :D
Too bad diremaul won’t be out yet
