Auction house + mailbox addon - TSM (Trade Skill Master) : www.curseforge...
one of my favorite things i did in a game was when i was about 14 or so i started playing ff10 online i had no idea how to play a mmo but damn could i fish i found a stack of fish that was easy to catch and sold them on the auction house over the next few weeks instead of playing the game and lvling up i just sold fish i eventually made enough gil i could buy out all the other fish on the market they started at 4k i got them up to 12k i did this for a few weeks i ended up making a million plus gil bought everything i wanted for my character all the best fishing gear showed my friend that didnt believe me then without giving anyone any money at all i stopped playing the game altogether i didnt even make it to lvl 20 i didnt know where to go but damn could i fish
Haha love it! Games have many different aspects to them, and doing whatever is fun for you is always the most important thing. Even if that's not what everyone else is doing, Cheers!
It was a painful reading... xD But thank god, i could laugh a good one :D
@@esemrcrimetime ha sry I forget the internet doesn't know how I talk, in real life I feel like my friends just know how to read my crazy texts
FF11 was the MMO
Really enjoyed this! Looking forward to watching progress - as someone who is TERRIBLE on the AH this stuff is like the dark arts to me.
lmao, hope you get a few tips and tricks from this series, but don't worry, i'm sure i'll be making a bunch of terrible choices too :P
This is awesome. Keep the bags.
Thanks for the input!
Was gonna like comment, but it is at 69, so better leave it
Yeah keep the bags, having no bags just slows down the initial few gold really
I think you should keep the bags
That's so nice to watch. I wanted to do that sort of thing like from when I first saw how the AH works with all of those cool addons these days. Keep it going please!
Thanks so much, will try and keep posting regularly for you fam
Just a thought on the bags:
You're basically just skipping a few bank runs which would be hella boring.
Keep em.
At first I didn't realize it was about TBC and was like "that's kinda easy most likely". Also brings back memories from watching similar flipping videos about RS. Interesting stuff
Haha ye, if it were retail i'd have increased the challenge amount as I believe inflation hit that game hard :P Ye, I actually got the idea from those types of old RS videos, I loved watching those back in the day
Hopefully this will turn into something as neat as the Runescape 1 coin flip series!
No bags, no starting bank slots. If you add the additional rule that you may not store items on any toon except your goblin, you add a very useful game mechanic. Limited capacity.
Aa you grow your operation, you'll have to make choices about your inventory. Netherweave might be a reliable flip... but it must be stored until the market is ready to sell.
This one game mechanic alone would create a great sliding scale window of products you will want to be in the market for. It adds as a factor your ability to conceptualize your inventory flow. Do you go for one big flip that might bog you down for a while or for greater variety?
great idea!! i love playing the auction house, it's an amazing way to make gold if you know what you're doing so i can't wait to see your gold stack up! keep it up.
Hell ye, it can be more lucrative then some gold farms at times for sure
Great series so far, definitely going to watch the rest, Also, I would love a simple tutorial on how to set up TSM for basic flipping, I'm not sure how it comes out of the box vs how yours is but I've heard there is a little set up time, and I know a lot of people would love that!
Primals and motes are a slowly shrinking market in TBC now that we are in phase 2, except for the water ones (which are used in some Alchemy items that will be needed by fire mages and destruction warlocks). Life motes are some of the most over farmed in the game, and can get as low as 10s each, and the primals selling for about 1g on many servers.
Oh for sure, demand has definitely slowed down, but atleast on my server it's still one of the faster selling items. And the prices stay somewhat stable, so even if I hold a few primals for a day or 2 it shouldn't be that big of a deal.. I hope :P
@@nicb6869 I wish you luck and will watch and see how you do with your updates.
Can’t wait for more, and keep the bags
I like that you are using both TSM and Auctionator. I might take that tip and use it as well.
15:28 , never underestimate the gold profit from guild signs while AHing ^^
Very true! Sometimes i'm too focused on the ah that I forget what's going on in trade chat haha
you should try flipping enchanting materials in the beginning. There is no deposit required so it frees up some capital.
Great suggestion! Will try that market soon enough
i dont play wow anymore and never used the AH (i was broke for all of the 15 years of me playing lol) but i really like this series!
great job
Thanks! :) Hope you tag along till the end, cheers
I was watching this with the impression it was retail. I noticed it said tbc and I'm even more impressed, awesome!
Thank you :)
Damn i'd watch a 40 minute+ video of this lol. Never got into the AH game but it seems pretty fun. Already waiting for the next one! oh, and keep the bags. You'd eventually buy them anyways, so it doesnt really matter i guess.
Right on time I guess, ep 2 is out haha, Thanks, that's kind of what I figured, if it comes down to it, I can always delete the value of the bags from my gold count to make it more legitimate, cheers!
MAN DUDE! Finally a video of someone showing how to use the auction house. It's been always a mystery to me (playing since 10 years lol)
Typical bg/raid grinder over here who's been giggling happily cuz a primordial dropped haha
Love them PvP movies man, but this is a episode im hyped for mate, teach us!
And keep the bags. Have fun 🤙🏼
Hell ye! I'm hoping to show you guys a bunch of tricks, and hopefully not too many failures along the way, glad your enjoying it so far :)
Can’t believe some one hasn’t already done a video like this for wow! I’ve really enjoyed watching OSRS flipping videos, but I’m way more familiar with wow so I can’t wait to watch these!
Haha, that's actually where i've gotten the idea from. I've only played runescape when I was really young, but always loved watching those flipping videos even when i hadn't played for years.
there was some guy who did it on retail, I believe it was 1g to 1mil on retail like 4 years ago, but he is not english speaking so its hard to hear about him :P
ya sense my daughter was born ive only been an off and on wow player but i think videos like this are fascinating and it makes me want to play again. keep it up super informative as to style and logic in the process
Thank you! Congratz on the kiddo and thanks for watching along :)
Market flipping in wow is the same as in the real world. People don't realize this and was calling me a madman for saying this. Thank you for this amazing content
Oh it can be for sure, the real upside is I really don't have anything to lose right now haha
@@nicb6869 A wise man once told me, a loss is just a delayed profit
I am by no means a pro player, in fact I quit TBC at like lvl67 so even before reaching max… but I did mess around with the AH a LOT compared to how much I play etc. First character on the server, had nothing to begin with. I flipped a lot of stuff, but my favorite was cloth. Pretty much silk cloth, mageweave and netherweave.
Mageweave was the best, often at 30s per piece, whilst silk cloth was 6s a piece. I liked these because they sold fast.
If I had more money, I would have bought more primals. I did trade with them a bit and it was pretty nice.
I hated trading armors and weapons. They never sold. Pretty much a deposit sunk. Though one time an epic Tailoring recipe was on the AH for like 10 gold. I didn’t wanna just buy it and not be able to sell it, so I posted “WST recipe for 25g” pm trade chat. Someone was interested so I just bought it from the AH then and there and sold it LOL
PS.: 37s per wool cloth piece and 30s per linen cloth stack is insane on your server. The prices really gone up since I played.
Haha that's crazy! Haven't gotten that easy of a sale yet, but hoping to in the future :P And oh ye! People have gotten lazy to farm classic material, so it's an easy way to profit off of :)
Huh, coincidentally I also stopped playing tbc at level 67
@@bloodandguts5931
You should come and play Ascension, weather boy
Just a tiny tip that might be useful for someone is that Thunder Bluff is the best to leave your bank alt because of the distance between, AH to vendor, to mailbox.
Good point, I'll probably end up in different cities over time. But will spend most of my time in org due to the fact that most of the actual trading happens there
Very Fun. It's more challenging than the don't die race thing my server is doing. :D
excited for this series. also keep the bags
That's a brilliant idea actually! Ill be watching your progress. Oh and the bags do not make a difference. I'd even argue that having limited space might even make this tedious. So long as you don't actively sell the bags for gold, there's no reason not to have them I think.
Thanks! It's been a lot of fun recording these, and great! Appreciate the input on the bags
God this brings back memories, all I used to do through legion and bfa was auctioning, set auctions in morning, come home from work at lunch to check undercuts and repost. Tidespray shuffle was amazing xD Nice series man!
Haha that's awesome! I've never played past Wotlk but that sounds like my avg day :P
Definitely keep the bags, no different than using the mailbox as extra storage, just easier to organize
"runs past casino gal every day; lets just flip this 10g"
A) You’re uding an add on to monitor. Major advantage than “from scratch”
B) You started with 1 GP. A new character has 0 GP.
C) Each AH transaction costs money.
What an interesting series, cant wait for more, also keep the bags IMO :)
Thank you for the input!
nice vid, keep the bags man lol. you plan on updating your content for WOTLK classic?
TSM is super great if you don't mind it dropping your FPS to 1 every time you log in to do a full scan for 15-20 minutes.
i've heard of flipping with the GE, but this is ridiculous lmao, never thought it would be practically viable given server constraints
@@nateg.6187 grand exchange. it's runescape's auction system
I don't even play wow anymore. But this was so good to watch. Earned yourself a sub.
Appreciate it!
Oh cool! Choco is my friend from Netherwind..we Xfered to Faerlina
Good tip to catch a great deal is to find expiring auctions, set the filter to short. snagged a few good things that way
Great tip! I've done that a few times but with little success, maybe i'll have better luck in this series, thanks!
Watching Daytrading in TBC is awesome! Keep the damn Bags and the good Videos
👀 Im going to follow your series!
Dont know if anyone has already said it but Low level herbs have no deposit cost if you sell them 1 by 1.
Oh wow! Great Tip! Wish I had figured that one out when I ran out of money for the deposit cost LOOL
It made me chuckle when you said we made about 20 silver, but hey it's free gold.
Lmao, ye it may sound silly, but hey as a lowly lvl 1 auction house guy, 20s is 20s :D
How do bids work anyways? Is bidding really worth it over OBO?
Need the TSM setting plz, And great video by the way. Love you!
I'll probably make a seperate video with the TSM info, thanks for the support!
Do you show your TSM-Groups for the challenge?
Great video - if you have the patience and knowledge you can make a lot of gold flipping even buying items earlier in the week to sell at peak times can net you a lot of gold I often look out for certain Flasks selling for 50-60g knowing they will go up to 70g over the weekend.
Hell ye! Flasks are a great one, only issue i've had with flasks is i'd have to someitmes babysit them and re-list if i'm posting on tesudays or else i get undercut like crazy lol
Really enjoying watching this! Not sure if its listed somewhere I haven't seen, but for future videos like this would you mind posting the timeframes for the episodes? Like "Day 1-3" or something?
Keep up the cool content!
That's a great idea, i'll try and get that going for the next few episodes! Cheers!
I have really been wanting to get into making a lot of gold on the AH. I usually just sell stuff that my characters come across, extra mats, or cool looking tmogs with varying success. I haven't really gotten good at TSM to where I can do some serious flipping and serious gold making. Also my server is looow pop, which makes it more difficult.
Good stuff! Ye it makes it a lot harder if your realm is low pop, however atleast it allows you to corner markets more easily. I geuss there's pros / cons to everything
I love flipping in OSRS and I've made most of my money with high volume flips abut WoW economies are too small and not having buy listings and the crazy 10% AH cut make flipping a pain in the ass. That said I've made some easy money by just targeting low supply items.
It would be more epic without those bags, but its still pretty epic.
I don't think bags ruin the integrity, you proved to us you would be capable of buying them as you scale up anyways.
Thanks! Glad you guys agree with the bags, it would of been annoying at times making multiple trips to and from the mailbox lol
Just starting out this series now. I mainly do GDKP’s as I think it’s more fun to raid when you get paid after, so I hope this helps me make some gold.
I enjoy GDKP's but haven't seen much on my server, how's the GDKP payouts typically?
Hello! This series seems really interesting, and also keep the bags! As you said, it's just QoL and will not affect your income.
Thanks for the feedback! Will do
you cann all day buy up neatherweave cloth and put them back in for 14,50s a piece many buy up to nearly 15s to craft heavy bandages out of it and than you get 15s/p on the vendor ;)
Precisely! I always use that 15s price as my floor. It hasn't failed me yet :D
Very satisfying to watch
Does the timing of buying and selling also matter?
Keep doing this challenge and you won’t have to head to work. Keep the bags.
Haha I wish :P Thanks for the feedback :)
Ive got a variety of these strategies plus a few more on my channel! Great job getting started, great server economy too.
Sick! I'll make sure to check them out, thanks :)
Keep bags! Also could you share youre searches? Or explain them short? :)
Thanks! And i'll try and put it into the end of the next episode if there's room, or make a seperate quicky to explain the basic groups i have setup with tsm for my searches
Keep the bags man, aswell as ur sanity xD
It would be good if you could list links to the addons being used!
The main addon being used is TSM (Trade Skill Master) It's also what makes the Mailbox UI look the way it is
For selling I use auctionator (just a personal preference as TSM also has a sell feature that works well)
Here's a link for both:
TSM - www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/tradeskill-master
Auctionator - www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/auctionator-classicfix
Awesome series. No issues with the bags at all
Thanks! That seems to be the general consensus, so i'll be keeping them. Thanks for watching :)
It's very hard to flip things on my server. I swear everyone plays the AH game on it. Granted I'm on an Oceanic server and we have a lot of SE Asian players/farmers. Also, Australians are kind of influenced by SE Asian culture, so we all like to hustle for money whether it be real or not.
Damn haha ye if you have extra people playing the market, it can be troublesome. I'd suggest finding a market that seems untouched (if that's possible). Sometimes people don't bother flipping slower selling items like recipes / patterns, or even lower BOE epics and the likes of those. Best of luck :)
i would like to know if there is another good transmute or cooldown profession in woltk. that isnt that expensive. for my alt army in future.
Now im hooked, wheres the next video my man? 😁
I'd like to get it out by this weekend, hang tight :)
Such a fun interesting way to play wow. definitely enjoyed the video.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Hey, it's awesome. Can you link to working wotlk 3.3.5a TSM addon.
Keep going! I am so bad at making gold in this game. I've legitimately never played the AH but it's something I need to do more to keep up with progression consumes. Seeing how you interact with TSM is hugely helpful!
Thanks so much, hope you get some tips out of it :) Cheers!
I found this super interesting to watch. Also Keep the bags. I know when I try this, I will be loading up my alt with bags first.
Thanks! Ye Bags are a real QoL haha
Nice video. I have used the mote flip many times to make some quick gold.
Hell yeah, that's a great one!
Great Stuff. Daily episodes please x3
I would love to! Unfurtunately I don't have enough content from 1 day to make a full episode, will try to update as frequently as I can though!
nice concept. GL with ur series
Thank you!
sick vid. fast as hell progress
Thank you! Will try and keep the train rolling and hopefully not hit too many bumps
How did no one think of this already... Nice...
Can't find working TSM at 2.4.3 wow tbc version... halp pl0x
this is a cool video now im excited to watch the next one LOL
Haha thanks, i'm excited to make the next one for you guys, it's been a lot of fun so far
all we ask is to vod / document EVERYTHING - the biggest pet hate is when somebody say on a series as this Hi Guys, I am up / down 30% of my capitol because of reason a / b / c but sorry I didnt run the stream recorder.
Noted! I'll make sure to record everything as best as I can, so you guys can follow along thanks for the support :)
This was sooo cool to watch appreciate it
Thanks for the kind words!
keep the bag's! super fun to watch ur thought proces
Thank you, happy you're enjoying it so far :)
Some players just make a banking character and never ever level. im sure once you get 1000's of gold you can get boosted wherever you want.
Can you post ur TBC herbs tsm grp? Btw love the series
Hi! For sure, i stole it from a pre-existing group on TSM
Here it is: www.tradeskillmaster.com/group-maker/nzeng6h0
I was good at playing at the AH when we had 2014.
But nowdays too many people do it.
Just level a Paladin... and go Strath if you want Gold...
Is it better to set the item on the market for 24 or for 48 hours?
Bags arent relative, good video!
when warren buffett plays mmo
I don’t play wow anymore but this is fun to watch!
Thanks for watching :)
@@nicb6869 I’m legitimately looking forward to the next video. 😀
congrats bro, imagine doing this in classic classic wow without the addons, maybe you can spend this much effort getting a job considering you turned $4 into $40
Great idea for a video series !!!! Please keep it up !!! And keep the fking bags, if anyone cares about them they gotta be trolling, questing alone can get you a full bank of em lmao we wanna see flips and tricks
Lmao, well said, i'll definitely try and fill it with mainly the flips :D and sometimes some tricks..
@@nicb6869 You sound cool as hell bro. Keep it as is in this video and it will be golden ! No stress. You earned a sub here
1 gold to 10k gold is nice if u make it, i tried it for fun early on but stopped at like 2k cause it got boring and because im not that good at it.
Difference for me was that i started with 0 gold and made a Blood Elf and ran it to Silvermoon and sold the clothes/weapons on AH to get my starter money, i made a character on a server where i had no other characters.
That's pretty cool! How did you go about flipping that money into 2k? I thought of selling my starter items but they would only sell for a few copper. And I couldn't think of much things I could buy for under 50c lol
how to exploit his own rules:
1. Just ask someone to buy his auctions
2. someone puts something in the ah to vendor (like in this video already - tripling his budget)
3. Use another char to flip the ah then post your monopolized items with that char
Guess you'll just have to trust that i'll stay honest :P
Subbed for the series, looking forward to the next one!!
Link the addon you're using too please
Thanks so much, here's a link to the Auction house + mailbox addon, i'll add it to the description too, cheers!

14:45 you missed a chance to sign a gcharter for 5g
Haha ye, I remember seeing quite a few people advertising for charters but I'm not sure how the audience would feel regarding it. I think it should be fair game any thoughts?
@@nicb6869 I think it might have cheapened the idea of 1g to 10k if you did it at the very start. Easy way to add gold from here on out though and I wouldn't mind.
Bro this is awesome!
Appreciate it!
good vid .Looking forward for the next episode.GL!
Glad you liked it! I'm hoping to make some decent progress for you guys for the next one :) Cheers!
I don't think the bags make much of a difference. With such a small amount of gold inventory space wont be a problem and by the time it becomes a problem, you'll be able to afford bags. Might as well just keep them lol
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video my man! Litterally just started recording to make this same video when I found yours 😂 is there a reason you are not setting up groups for searching the herbs and ores btw?
Sweet! I'll make sure to check it out if you upload it! As far as the groups, I kind of went in blind. I did setup some groups after a week or so when I realized that i've been searching for the same markets often haha
@@nicb6869 haha well it would be on my main channel (the tired llama) so keep an eye out :) yeah it will probably be helpful going forward, maybe you could group the items by rough price range so you know how much you are investing so you don't leave yourself no posting money again ;) 😂
@@03h043 :o I've watched a bunch of your vids, love your commentary! That'll be an easy watch from me haha. That's not a bad idea! LOL yeah, that really wasn't one of my proudest moments! haha
I think it would be interesting to go without bags (and maybe make that part of the process to make it a little easier).
There was a guy offering 5g for guild signatures! Easy money, and within the rules! lol
Lol ye, I gotta try and not miss out on those. Especially on this lvl 1 character it's easy money :P
definitely installing tsm when I get home tonight 😳
TSM is a game changer for sure!
