I have had a Case Muskrat for a while with the same 2 blades and I just bought a Trapper with red bone scales. Both are functionally beautiful. I love the knives and the history behind them. My grandfather had a Case knife, and I am 76 years old.
I have just received my first Case Trapper today: the synthetic yellow version with the 1095 CS blade steel. Looking forward to putting a razor edge on it and making it mine.
I've had this same exact knife for several years and I agree.....the older it gets, the more it appeals to me. Strange I know. Thank you for sharing. -Stephen, Ohio
A knife collection and story video would be pretty awesome!! Great video and lovely knife love the look, keep up the great content. I considered picking up one before maybe your video just pushed me over the edge!
highly recommended, although they aren't quite as convenient. They're tough, very beautiful, but not your super fast one-handed opener... something to consider!
I have been looking at these for awhile now. I think you have helped me make a decision. Do you carry yours in a sheath? Appreciate your videos. Ray...Oklahoma
That would be great. I have been making knives and sheaths for about 5 years now just for the fun of it. Made a small forge in the back yard. I do not work fast enough to make any money at but have sold a few.
I get that. haha Doing work for fun and doing work for hire are completely different ball games. Hard to spend 20 hours in an axe and charge $150 for it. haha Far less than $10 an hour... no one likes to be taken advantage of. So, do we charge more or work faster? Thats the big question! :-) I think I'll design and craft a sheath. and film it!
I have the smaller version in dark red jigged bone and CV steel. Very pocket friendly and people here in Europe tend to be easily scared of black tacticool knives, but everybody likes a small Case. NOT my last Case.
I got one that’s splintered boned! It’s not very smooth like it was advertised but I let it exist in my collection. Splintered worn ? Huh might be a new style!
Thats a real nice looking knife.....kind of reminds me of the knife I carried ad a kid. How is Mrs Hamilton feeling so far big guy ? Is pregnancy agreeing with her so far ?
Great post! Just subbed. I have a good sized collection of Case trappers and mini trappers - it's an addiction. They make nice storage cases to hold them, and I rotate my carry every couple days for fun. Anyway, I would really like to see you demonstrate how to sharpen one of these properly. They look like they have a micro bevel along the edge. What do you think? You are infinitely more experienced at blade work than me. Thanks much.
Njäh, same as opinell in my opinion. It is nice to get those to razor as a gimmick, but no hunter ever uses those. That being said, i still carry my victorinox, god knows why..

That is a gorgeous knife! I agree about the feeling in the hand, it's just so handy, feels like it belongs in your hand.
Classic knife. Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing it with us.
thanks for watching my friend. I may soon get another in a different color. They're a lot of fun!
Such a beautiful knife! I just bought an amber bone trapper for my co worker buddy Jimmy who is retiring after 32yrs of working for the City.

Weiderfan not yet but planning to. Who doesn't love knives i think it would go though the roof with views!!
Beautiful knives. I have always had a soft spot for the gentleman knives.
So classy eh? I love them as well.
Sweet little beaut! Ive been thinking about getting a traditional knife that that to carry. Thanks Bud.

Weiderfan True. I recently began to carry a SAK camper instead of my Spyderco so Im getting used to a 2 handed opening.👊

Very classy yet rustic
Absolutely! Has that 80 year old heirloom feel right outta the box!
Hey! I own one! Or a fifteen of some others. Not much to mention but by God the money spent merits the shout-out!
Great knife.

Iv used my old opinel 8 trimming up bear fat off a harvest I got 2 years ago
better than victorinox... BLASPHEMER!
haha Sarry Micheal! The victorinox steel is pretty crappy. Very soft
But it sure cleans up fast...
Nice knife for sure
You into this style bud?
Weiderfan yes I have similar style that I got for my birthday as a kid
