Fellow modelers and admirers of Lukasz’s masterful work. One thing I wanted to say to all was what initially attracted me to his channel as a subscriber and eventually as Elite level Patreon and that is his uncanny ability to create field-expedient tools, accessories etc which all serve not only to enhance a build, but also track historically with what actual tankers do with their vehicles in the field or in theater. I served in the US armed forces but I wasn’t in any armor units, but I’ve been around them. Lukasz captures what crew members actually do when they need something to be done, or need a tool so they do it. This also occurs in real military units so long as the branch of service or command element permits it. In WW2 there was much less regulation of things as there is today. It is easy to just sit down and build a kit to spec. Big deal. Lukasz never does that. He creates around the scenario within which he’s working. It’s this kind of ingenuity that drew me to him. Please: don’t take this to mean that I think other pro modelers don’t do this, or aren’t original. I’m just vouching for coldemonspl because he gave me the confidence to put down the instructions and just survey the build. What era is the model? What theater? What unit? What weather? These are the things which permit Lukasz to make his magic. I think this man has unique attributes as an internationally acclaimed modeler (which he is). This is no paid endorsement people. I appreciate everyone subscribed to this channel and even those just stopping by. I thought it might be useful for people to hear one subscriber-turned-Patreon’s journey into a YT content creators world and why and how I got there. Lukasz has improved my skills without even trying. His content gives me the confidence and inspiration to not be afraid to take creative risks. How many builds have you seen on YT in which every kit part is neatly glued to its assigned position? Maybe too many? Take a run through history if you haven’t already and refer to something like the Panzer Colors series. It wasn’t until I began checking historical references until I realized that a large fraction of let’s take German tanks don’t even have track hooks! Either they were never welded on, were taken off on purpose or just came off due to combat conditions. Simple things like this should liberate modelers to put themselves in the cupola, just as Lukasz is wont to do. Real tank crews, especially in WW2, made their tanks into bespoke vehicles to suit their needs. I figured, why shouldn’t modelers? I realize this is no great epiphany, but I’m just saying I see many technically good builds which leave me wanting more. Each creator is entitled to their own choices. I get it. But when I found coldemonspl I finally felt free and realized that artistic license could mimic reality. This is what art is about. It’s not just about something beautiful to behold. It’s also about inspiration. I got mine here and you should consider doing it too if you haven’t already. If not, that’s fine, but personally, I want to have many more years to admire and be inspired by Lukasz’s work. I’ve never met the man but hope to some day. If not for his fearless artistic style perhaps I would never have chosen to become an afv modeler. Thanks to all of the kind commenters here and other supporters of coldemonspl!

Well, the problem with mud in reality is no contrast at all and it's really hard to create some artistic visualisation on such matarial :) And thx mate for your comments! :)
