    I made this device for my laminating router, and now I use it in all projects with 45° fittings. The speed and perfection that this jig brought me places me in the top positions of the jigs I've ever made. A very simple and easy project for anyone who wants to reproduce.

    Interesting but what does that have to do with making a perfect "Joint"? The wood is already joined. All you are doing is adding an embellishment to the joint. 🤔🤔

      I don't know about you but I've found that my work greatly improves by the quality of the jigs I use.
      If I can gain better control, accuracy, and precision I usually get better results.
      How about you?

    No. I'm sixty five. I have no perfect joints. I struggle with imperfect joints.

    I would change the design to make the stand a corner clamp. So it really is creating joints not adding emblems

  • @ZOEng99
    @ZOEng99 8 місяців тому +1

    Title is absurd. “Corner spline placement cutting jig”. I use a similar jig, but on the table saw. No tear out like router causes. Much cleaner.

      Slight detail ignored - cutting the dovetail splines !!! Which miraculously fit perfectly.

    Your "jig" won't even sit square to the box you made...

    • @ginogenero7972
      @ginogenero7972 8 місяців тому

      I noticed this too but for the way it's being used, a perfect 45° doesn't seem absolutely necessary, I suppose. Would be better to clamp to a 90° corner wide enough to align both legs simultaneously during glue up.

    Clickbaity and nothing to do with jointing.

  • @user-bt5qt9pp4x
    @user-bt5qt9pp4x 7 місяців тому

    Title is a bit misleading but the idea is good if you want to do chunky splines. Do them a bit deeper if you want to offer some better stability to your boxes and never sand across the grain or you will get scratchmarks

    kind click bait their, all your joints were spot to begin with dont see how your jig helped you make any of box joints only help fit dovetail ties to edges
