what about under current protection to protect motor from dry run In dry running, with no water to transfer their rotational energy to, the pump motor spins faster than its rated speed and causes damages to mechanical seals, bearings etc. as well as to pump motor coil. But current consumed will be less than rated current since there is no load at the shaft.
