I like these old Halloween songs. The oldest one on this list is More Work for the Undertaker. It came out in 1902 so that song is 118 years old. I have never heard any of these songs.
I could have used these tracks about 10 years ago, I was the special Effects Director for a haunted theatre tour. The theatre is from this era (built-in 1912), and our tour played this up to the max. I would have loved to have these songs playing throughout the theatre as the people walked through.
TRACK TIMING: 00:08 [1] Taint No Sin (Dan Russo) 02:58 [2] Skeleton In The Closet (Nat Gonella & His Georgians) 05:43 [3] More Work For The Undertaker (Dan Quinn) 07:43 [4] Mysterious Mose (The Radio All Star Novelty Orchestra) 10:35 [5] Zombie (Gene Kardos & His Orchestra) 13:08 [6] I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance (Ted Fio Rito) 16:25 [7] Graveyard Blues (Earl Fuller's Rector Novelty Orchestra) 19:47 [8] Shine On Harvest Moon (Kate Smith) 23:05 [9] The Black Cat (Ozzie Nelson & His Orchestra) 25:38 [10]The Spell Of The Blues (Frederick Vettel) 28:36 [11] Haunting Blues (Red Nichols & His Five Pennies) 31:35 [12] Hallowe'en Dance (American Symphony Orchestra) 33:38 [13] Hell's Bells (Sid Peltyn & His Orchestra)
I also loved The Devil's Ball it makes me think of the people of my grandpa's generation (even though he was more of the 20's). I don't know if it is in this compilation or another one but I also loved loved loved "Hush Hush Hush".
I like this more than your first offering of Halloween music. From that one and only original jazz era. Thank you Lindsay, you wonderful woman you. Hoping you get a spectral visitation this, and every Halloween. Have a dreddful mess when them skeletons in the closet begin to dance. All the best to boo-hoo you. LG. From Wien.
I legit love these songs I picture my great grandparents listening to these songs if they had Halloween parties Some of these songs don't fit the Halloween tone but back then it did
@@edyram22 Yeah dude it's crazy. The schools are closed again here, tommorow's the first day of online classes. We also have to wear masks EVERYWHERE and the stores are closing
Your music compilations are one of the best things to come out of UA-cam, in my opinion! I look forward to these Halloween songs every year! Please don't ever take them down :)
Interesting how totally different the sound and temple of the music was up to the thirties. When I hear it the sound is foreign at best. Then it acquired a richness and sophistication which I love. Today, anything goes.
The version of Ghost of a Chance in this compilation is so weird to me after getting so used to Francis Langford's version. I had no idea Langford's version was a cover. This is such a nice compilation. I forgot to even listen to these vintage mixes last year, so I'm doubling up on them this year and twice as early to boot!
Omg, thank you so much! I was looking for a particular song for so long. I had found it in a compilation video 'from another room' and so the lyrics weren't clear and all my attempts to find it failed! Thanks to you the mystery is solved. It's called 'The Spell of the Blues'.
These are the same creatures who voted for Biden just for the "hell" of it. 🤡 Everyday they play (Devils advocate) just to be opposite of what is right. 👿 So, they'll always "downgrade" everything just for the hell of it on their way to the cemetery. 💣🧨💥 ⚰ It's no surprise many of the 2020 votes came directly from the graveyards. ☠ ✌🤣🎃
Ha ha.. Don't be a witxch. Only a supporter of potatoes in your trick or treat bag would say a silly thing like that. Take a look around and get your head out of the graveyard....if you DARE! bwahahahhhaa. ✌🎃
I don't usually like Halloween but if you wear old clothing witch I always wear suits and ties and you put on this music in the dark with candlelight it can be kinda spooky good felling love all kinds of vintage music I am a true old soul
Listening to your compilations has got me thinking about a Halloween burlesque show. Just imagine it- ghoul and goblin-inspired strips, dancing fit for a queen, how much fun would that be!
I didn't know 'More Work For The Undertaker' was an actual song. The only time I heard the phrase before now was as the title of a murder mystery novel.
Good ol halloween songs. In like,1931,they friend to shut down halloween since all the older malej children were planning to cause the ultimatej mabyhem, not even caring if someh of the younger kids got hurt in the proccejssn(though itl what's aimejd agt then wealthy growun ups.the cops in all major cities or towns spread the word that all teenage males on the street would be arrested and sent to prison,but,...something else happened, like a prison had a massive. Break and all cops were needed,...I think! Anyway, the bigger boys got to go out after all and Halloween was saved!!!!!!
Gatsby Hotjacks Yep, apparently in either 19010 B.C.E. (or 19010 A.D. which is way into the future). We celebrated Halloween the first time and wrote songs... Too bad that was before recorded history... we thought.

Pretty awesome how some songs stand the long test of time.
If you've ever listen to Tiny Tim this is where he got his style of singing from

I love all the vintage Halloween music . My favorite song on this one was Taint No Sin. My favorite song on voulume 1 is The Devil's Ball.
Check out my live version of Tain’t No Sin ua-cam.com/video/d168hnoG2io/v-deo.html
Melissa Cooper my fav on volume 1 is skeleton rag, but devils ball is a close second
I also loved The Devil's Ball it makes me think of the people of my grandpa's generation (even though he was more of the 20's). I don't know if it is in this compilation or another one but I also loved loved loved "Hush Hush Hush".
The first one doesn't really put me in a creepy ghostly mood, it puts me more in a dancing mood.

Hi it's been a year since then :) How ya doing during quarantine?
Eh, not too exiting. How we gonna deliver halloween candy this year 😂 with this distancing stuff.

Saving tasteless Halloweens for five years in a row 🖤
This makes me want to throw an early 20th-century style Halloween party! :)
Your music compilations are one of the best things to come out of UA-cam, in my opinion! I look forward to these Halloween songs every year! Please don't ever take them down :)

Love this old time music. Often listen to this while im packing up for a ghost hunt. Cheers!!!!
I love these old tunes. Some I remember from the radio when I was a kid in the 50's Songs to sing along with and feel happy. Thanks.

This is just timeless.

I love Jazz. I love Halloween. I love these playlists, this is a good thing you are doing here.
TYVM for taking me back to the days, when family gathered around the radio, to _watch_ their favorite broadcasts aired live.

Your compilations are fantastically frightful in the best possible way. Thank you and Happy Halloween in 2016.

I played this to my computer. It is now chasing laughing ghosts with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Tom, Jerry and Woody Woodpecker!
This will hit the spot this year.
How are people downvoting this video or any holiday playlist?
No taste. Unlike the rest of us, who have good taste !! It's a mystery ?
Happy Halloween. 2020*

Thank you for uploading this clip. I love this style. :)
These are so fantastic!! Thank you!
How in the hell did she manage to find a song that’s almost 120 years old?!
There are many dedicated music channels on UA-cam.
I DEFINITELY prefer this version of Hell's Bells to AC/DC's version lmao
Listening to your compilations has got me thinking about a Halloween burlesque show. Just imagine it- ghoul and goblin-inspired strips, dancing fit for a queen, how much fun would that be!
So apparently that exists, but what if it only used these vintage songs?
Sure, if you love this world that much. Some of us can't wait to leave it all behind, honestly, Gracie.
This is great!!!!!
The song title didn't change when the song "Mysterious Mose" played.
I just love these but i do wish youd put timestamps in the description
LOVE!!!
This is awesome!
This is TOOO COOOL!!!
Love it!
This is so cool I enjoy it
19010's? You didn't have to time travel 10000 years just for us
Change 19010's to 1910's for a better effect ;)
It’s Halloween music FROM THE FUTURE PAST
Don't know if there is a vintage recording but Hobgoblins by L. Frank Baum and Frederic Chapin from 1905.
I hope the vintage classic scary tunes are the same golden-aged Halloween Hits of all time.
i'm sad I can't find any of these on spotify to add to my class's painting playlist for spooky season :(
Who else is here in 2020
I am corona might cancel Halloween so im just going to be here eating candy ig
I’m listening in 2020
I didn't know 'More Work For The Undertaker' was an actual song. The only time I heard the phrase before now was as the title of a murder mystery novel.
Good old days, talent was paramount.and its creepy cuz they're all dead.
Have a happy and safe Halloween, everyone! 💀☠️👻👽👾🤖🎃
Spooktober died on spooktober! :( *Sad skeleton toot*

7:58 This song is not from 1902, I think it's from 1930

Your thumbnail image has a typo. 19010s should be 1910s. You have one too many digits.
