    I'm trying a cup but it tastes peppery, strong, I'm not liking it, but I'm going to drink it for blood sugar

      Try to use a smaller piece of Ginger. I drink a tea made with many kinds of different teas.

      Also for the blood sugar regulation , you can add Chinnamon as well. Never pour hot water over the honey , destroys all its goodness, enzymes, etc. First pour a bit of cold tea or cold water , and after pour the hot tea, and add fresh lemon juice .
