Ginger is such a wonderful and powerful food! I wish more people were aware of it's benefits. It's held in very high regard in Ayurveda.

I also let the tea cool and put it into a glass pitcher and refrigerate. I usually do this for the summer and it's really refreshing on a hot summer day. It's become a hobby of mine and I started growing them in a container on my balcony! I love ginger!

I happened to stumble upon ginger on the store, had NO idea what it was for or how to deal with it, found awesome ways to use it but THIS made me happy, my throat has been aching for weeks, ive been sick for so long, this is a lifesaver! Thank you so much!

I have been drinking Ginger tea for years now. But i have never peeled it, i also don’t slice it but i grind it. I went to India in December and discovered Turmeric tea. So i grind turmeric root and let it sit in heated almond milk. I add nutmeg powder and cinnamon powder. Let everything sit for 5 minutes. I can really recommend it!

I cut my ginger root up in the size of a quarter about 10 pcs. I then place in a coffee filter and run thru my coffee maker. This is quick and works perfectly! I yield about 4-6 cups.

The skin of the ginger root has excellent drawing properties. Peel the skin off the ginger root and place it over the wound. Can be covered with gauze and skin tape. Also, "lightly" rub the sliced end of a ginger root over a wound, you will see little hairs start to come up immediately. The more you rub the ginger root over the wound, the longer the hairs will grow until you actually have a little brush. This is great for keeping wounds or an open wound clean. If necessary, slice off the used end and start over. Only the very tips of the hairs need be used. It's amazing to watch!

I like to optimize my food and drinks. In this case I would potentize the ginger tea by adding fresh turmeric powder, pepper and coconut oil. The last two ingredients enhance the absorption of the curcumenoids in turmeric and I suspect the coconut oil would also enhance the absorption of the constituents in ginger.

This makes it look so labor intensive! Just slice the ginger, put in a cup and pour hot water over it. No need to grate, etc. Unless you are using organic ginger, it should be peeled. It is easiest to peel with a spoon rather than a knife. If you do choose to grate, use a small porcelain grater made just for ginger. Ginger is very stringy and if you grate with a regular grater, it will be nothing but strings and most of the ginger stays on the grater! The porcelain graters do not have holes, rather bumps that don't catch the ginger.

Is the ginger root you use to make your tea organic? Thanks for the video I will start drinking fresh ginger tea in the mornings.

I added sliced lemon in the pot while I steeped the ginger. Is this a good idea or a bad one?
    Thank you.
