Me and my father and 85 year old grandfather just switched to traditional archery a week ago. Feels much better then using compounds. Closer to our natural selves.

Even though this is a good video, and I watched it all! I simply can´t make room for the trad vanes. The first is that they are less forgiving, regardles of tuning ability´s. The next is that, even though they are silent in flight, and the are so soft, that they are able to get around the riser, they make a slapping noise, when ever the vanes are hitting something. One day I was showing my buddy that I could shoot the point on distance with the trad vanes, he stood behind me, to watch the arrow flight. When I shot there was this slapping sound. We thought it was the limb hitting a leaf from a tree beside us, but no it was the trad vane contacting the riser, or shelf. We tried it several times, but it still was the same. Shot with feathers, there was no slapping noise. Yeah yeah I know that I can turn the arrow around, so the bow contact will change, but then I can´t shoot with the feather to nose technique, which are my preffered, for several resons. So just as much as we owe one thing to the animals, we also owe them to trust our equipment. Just my opinion. Thanks for the video. PS. The video is from May, so do you still use them??

Great feedback. I don't have that issue. There are downsides to them as to everything. They are compromise, not a solution. Aron Snyder is taking dozens of animals with them every year and trusts them on hunts that cost tens of thousands of dollars and shoots groups using them that are proof. That being said they are way more forgiving off an elevated rest or shelf modifications. What's works for one, doesn't work for someone else and that is the great thing. Your feedback is great but I still recommend these. I do make up my mind before I post videos....

Woodsmans Finest I just often see folks talk about these vanes in videos, and next time we see them, they use feathers, again lol. I have tried out of several bows, and are not satisfied with the Sound they make, when they touch anything on the bow. So I’ll probably never be friends with them. And I’m also shooting plenty of game without them.😁

This is a very misleading video! SHOW ME YOUR SHELF? It’s got a modern rest on it. Because “Trad vanes” strike the shelf! He knows it too. But, that is a very bad con, and he’s very bias pro Trad Vane. I wish they worked off the shelf, but they don’t. That’s why this guy here isn’t shooting them off the shelf. His bow weighs over 2 pounds with all that modern equipment in it. It’s got an adjustable plunger as well.
Can you adjust the limb tillers too? .. lol.. the only thing missing is the fiber optic sights!
There is modern archery, and there is traditional archery. Now, this is Hybrid! There’s no such thing as modern traditional.. lmfao. Very misleading pretending to embrace Trad archery, while hiding is equipped from view. Notice you can’t see that Olympic style rest mounted n that well equipped modern machine he’s got there.
I hate feathers, but until there’s a replacement I’m stuck with them. These Trad Vane are just to make a modern archer have that Trad look.
Just for looks with modern archery. Like this modern archer here. At least he’s an archer, unlike compound bowman. That’s any person shooting a compound bow. .. throughout history and today, we’ve never considered a crossbowman an archer either.
I showed my 82 grandmother yesterday, now shes been a expert bowman for two days. Same as anyone who picks one up. Just simple instructions to be an equal expert within minutes.
But, she still knows nothing about archery. … c’mon, adjust that bottom limb and you can sting walk like a modern expert.
This is like bringing an electric car to a drag strip, and bragging about beating all the gas engine at fair play. Put your damn sights back on and stfu!

Just as well that your opinion is of no more consequence than mine or anyone else's.. guess you must be shooting a selfbow or sinew backed bow with a natural string.....
