I got a new revel rail about 2 weeks ago and it is the best bike I’ve ever ridden. So responsive and playful and it petals like a champ. It really id a do everything bike.
My Revel Rail in Mint Chocolate Chip arrives in the next week or two! I am stoked. This is the best bike in the world (for me)!!! I demo’ed it in Atlanta.
I have a Revel Rascal X01 kit, the bike is absolutely amazing. Loved this video getting to see the HQ and hear from the founder. Thanks WC for the killer content as always 👍
My next bike just may be a Revel. Look like sweet bikes, and seems like a company I could get behind. With so many good options out there in bikes I feel like the company behind the bikes are more important than ever.
Chose the rail for the sake of downhill with one of the best pedaling platforms. It was between the bronson, SB165 or...the rail. There is good authenticity within revel and Greg helped with my build and been murdering mud ever since.

I really enjoyed the interview and tour. Well done. I wish the best for Revel. In a way it's sad that the Canfield Brothers couldn't set aside differences and work together, but hopefully they will both succeed and stay close. You can make new friends, but you can't make new brothers. For the niche market they are both striving for, they will likely compete directly with each other, which will make it harder for each company. The sad part about these smaller companies is how uphill the battle is versus the established brands. It could literally be the best bike, head and shoulders above, and the big company marketing money would still find a way to get to the major publications to highlight their product and diminish the smaller companies. The Balance was one of the best MTB's ever made, and in the process of awaiing a 29'er version with some minor tweaks, Canfield disappeared. Hopefully both companies will find a place in the market, because both of the brothers are super cool down to earth guys, who genuinely want to build and provide the best MTB's out there for us to ride. I sincerely believe that.

It’s very cool that we have so many brands to select from. I’m hoping to test and choose a aggressive trail bike that has balanced suspension, meaning 10 or less mm of travel between rear and front. 27.5 plus potential meaning able to fit 2.8” tires on and i40 rim. Then if possible a 157mm Super Boost spacing. I know this is limited now but hopefully more brands will consider this modification.
I just bought a Borealis Crestone a couple months ago, didn't fully realize the history involved. Pretty cool I suppose a Rascal would sandwich nicely between my SB100 and my SB150. #nplus1
Is Pivot still considered a small boutique brand? I also like Ibis and Yeti, but these new Revel's have peaked my interest, they look like great bikes.

I did a video on the Rascal on my channel and it was a really sweet bike. I actually liked it better than the SB130 and compared it to the Ripmo many times. They have a nice warranty too if anything happens.
My absolute favorite boutique mtb company is Canyon. I really really love the Torque CF 9.0. I hope I'll be able to get it in a few months or so. There are a couple significant factors in my mind that seem to just make it feel like Canyon is at home in my heart. I have German roots and Canyon is a Germany based company. It just seems right to me. The Torque also has an amount of travel that allows it to perform just like a DH bike, but it sits in the category of Enduro bikes so it's just as easy to pedal up the climbs as it is blast through the rough stuff. Before the Torque was released, I had been searching for a suitable Enduro bike to fit my riding style. I originally had liked the Canyon Strive. However, once the Torque was released, my interest completely diverted to the Torque and the Strive seemed to have been dwarfed compared to the Torque. So with all this being said, I'm confident to say the Torque is the bike that meshes best with my soul and personality, if that makes sense.
Bryan Anthony I don’t think it has the tabs for a bash guard. I think I remember them saying somewhere that was a conscience choice because of frame integrity when the tabs take the force of an impact. But I could be remembering wrong. Either way, it does have an integrated chain guide.
Paul Sewell I’m not really worried about a chain guide I’m more worried about damaging a chain ring and not being able to finish a race because of it. I still couldn’t find anything on there site. But I did find they use a threaded bottom bracket. E13 and mrp make a iscg05 adapter plate for threaded bottom brackets so I think it will work out.
Hey Bryan, yes, you can run some coils- give us or Worldwide a call anytime to discuss coils! And sorry, there are no ISCG tabs. Due to the position of the lower link, if we were to add ISCG tabs it would force us to make that link/front triangle interface narrower, which would result in less lateral stiffness. I know it is not ideal for some riders, but we made the conscious decision to choose dialed kinematics and frame stiffness over the ISCG tabs. For those who really want a bashguard, we do use a threaded bottom bracket, and there are options out there for a BB mounted bash guard. All of us at the shop here haven't run bash guards and have been somewhat surprised that we haven't missed them at all. Hope that helps!

Was looking at a rail purchase can you run it with a coil? Also can’t tell if there are any ISCG tabs for a bash guard?
