Great Video of this amazing wilderness area. I guess how tough it was on this terain. Can you please tell me what were the dates you were there? I'm planning a pretty similar route. Starting in Stordalens havn and finishing in Kangikitsoq via tasermiut fjord and Klosterdalen. I will have to give up Qinnguadalen because I have only 8 days. Could you please elaborate on which side of the klosterdalen valley you walked on? South or North? What about the two lakes in tupaassat valley. Which side did you pass them? Was it dangerous? Best Regards, Omer.
Hi Omer, Thank you that you like the video. We did our tour in July 2022. You chose a very nice route. From Stordalens havn to Tasuaq lake is beautiful and very easy to walk. The next km along the Tasermjut fjord are also ok. The last part of the Tasermjut fjord is tough with a lot of bushwhacking. When you enter Klosterdalen stay on the southern side (next to Ketil). The river is hard to cross at the end of the valley. You will have a lot of swampy area and will probably get wet feet :). Shortly before you arrive the ascent to Tupaassat valley there is a nice spot where you can cross the klosterdalen river. In Tupaassat we always stayed on the right side of the river, only the first lake, just after the pass, we walked around on the left side. At the end of Tupaassat you have to cross two moraine barriers. We found a way on the very right side of the valley, but especially the second one, just before reaching the fjord, can be tricky and dangerous. Enjoy your trip and respect the nature!
I used a DJI Mini 2. We took a flight from Narsarsuaq to Nanortalik (you can also take a boat). From Nanortalik you can take a official boat to Tasiusaq (once per week), where we started our tour.
I am happy you like it. This tour is possible without packrafts. We had exceptional nice weather which also means that we had many flies and mosquitos. We were wearing headnets most of the time. The birch trees were indeed quite frustrating as they were dense and up to severaly meters high, especially in Qinnguadalen and around Ketil
@@hunkelkrilps Great trip! We UVG Hiking in Greenland are making a guide about South Greenland and would like to get in touch with you - hope you get this message ?
❤ wundervolle Bilder, traumhafte Natur.

Thank you so much. This is very helpful. I’ll be happy to see some pictures if you shared it somewhere.
What drone did you use? Also, did you fly into the town (Tasersaq, I believe), or take a boat?

@@hunkelkrilps sounds logistically unrealstic, unless you can be flexible with the dates.
This is wonderful. I have been looking at are to hike. You did it without a packraft? How bad were the bugs and the dwarf birch trees?
