Hi !! You also need to open a bolt on the left of the oil filter to complete the flush, ( take care of the shower then ))) perfect should be to also lift the rear to flush the rear tubes also. this sure complicate the procedure but then and only then You will flush the entire cooling system

How much coolant did that change take please?

the 2003 4m41 engine takes about 4 liters of coolant - just make sure you have 5 liters
