    I think both Chuck and Mark Cuban forgot how the NBA blacklisted Craig Hodges for taking a similar stance a long time ago. In today's day and age it might be different, but let's not pretend the NBA hasn't been shady when it comes to social issues.

      Mahmoud Abdul Rauf (formerly Chris Jackson) was ousted too.

    josh rosen said that statement in part for his teammates. it's hard for them to get a good education bc of football.

    Ive worked in collegiate athletics as a student assistant. Charles missed the point on what Josh Rosen was talking about. Rosen is saying that doing both is difficult, regardless if you are a star player or not. Having to study a football playbook, the physical toll, the amount of preparation that goes into playing football(position/team meetings, travel, practices, weights) it takes away from studying for a degree, especially one that can make you a lot of money(engineering, business, computer science). Some kids can't even major in certain degrees because practice times run at the same time of those classes. So if its anything Rosen being at the top of the food chains a good thing, his voice is louder. I salute him speaking out. The NCAA is flawed and fail the majority of the kids.

      Nana Gyambibi - Fails the majority of what kids? The kids who are there knowing they more than likely won't be drafted? I think the education system all around is awful, and student loans numbers are a joke. Having a full ride scholarship, not having to pay for student loans after college, working hard (which is the point of being an elite athlete that you excel at both), and getting the grades required to play every week are what is failing kids? Kids have been doing this for ages.

      The students are getting a free education but in shitty degrees that make them 0 money. Thats setting them up for failure.

    i find it weird how chuck has an issue with both what kd and kyrie did.

    • @Erebus4801
      @Erebus4801 7 років тому

      Not saying for Chuck, but I can explain why I don't like both moves. Before KD joined Golden State, there were four legit contenders: Spurs, OKC, GSW and Cavs. After KD, its down to two: Cavs and Warriors, if Kyrie leave the Cavs, it would be down to one. Just my pure selfish reason of wanting to see competition in the league

    • @timlamiam
      @timlamiam 7 років тому

      yeah tbf i won't care about the nba until somebody does an upset in the playoffs against the big 2. no point cheering for teams that have no chance against the warriors or cavs. it's why i love the nfl. barring the pats, every year is something new.

    • @BenGetItIn
      @BenGetItIn 7 років тому +1

      timlamiam Right, he contradicts himself by saying OKC was better but he has an easier time playing with GSW. I don't want to hear anyone else complain about "super teams" when Kyrie wants to go and win a championship without the best team.

  • @CodyKing

    I'm not sure Barkley saw Rosen's full interview. Rosen said the way it's currently set up it is very hard to do well in both football and school. The schedules don't work. He's basically saying that if you aren't going to the NFL you should probably quit and focus on school because as a member of a D1 football team, your academics will suffer greatly.

  • @seven92023
    @seven92023 7 років тому +1

    Chuck must be smoking something. OKC was never the best team. They always had conflict of leadership between Russell and KD. They didn't have anybody else besides them two after Harden was traded. They had a bunch of average players mistaken for depth. Golden State beat them because they are the better team.
    And there is no way MJ loses to Charles if they switched teams in 1993. No way! MJ would've led Phoenix better than Chuck did.

    Love Charles, but his Kyrie take is somewhat opposite to his position on "not joining your friends" and creating "Super Teams". Kyrie is probably making a mistake in judgement for right now, but he seems to have a desire to create his own footprints. Good luck to the young fella.

    Why the hell does CK have to make a public statement that he wants to play? No other player has to. Stop fishing for bogus excuses.

    Charles assumes so much. How come he doesnt think that maybe Lebron is hard to live and play with as Le EGO has such a BIG EGO??

    • @JDR501
      @JDR501 7 років тому

      That is why it is his opinion. No one knows what is going on behind closed doors.

    • @dodiemendoza7698
      @dodiemendoza7698 7 років тому +1

      Then he should state that too! HE assumes that LeFLOP is such a wonderful team mate and the evidence says the OPPOSITE
      1. I want to go home to CLEVELAND
      and now all you hear about is that he is going to leave AGAIN
      2. HE disrespects the DREAM Olajuwon ( who took the time to tutor this arrogant clown low post moves) cause Akeem had the guts to say that LEFLOP will NEVER be as great as MJ
      3. LEFLOP says the team is TOP HEAVY and this is the guy who had the audacity to say that MJ got too much credit while his team mates did NOT get enough?

    • @Antbeast23

      Lebron is a pass first player and unselfish. He took less money to play with Miami and has gotten many compliments from teammates. There is evidence to back up that he's a good teammate. Every player has an ego that's a given but he isn't a bad teammate. He has done so many great things off the court.

      OKC was a better team back then over Golden State, why you think Steph, Clay, & Dreymond was so bent on getting Kevin Durant that whole year during the NBA season? The warriors just wanted to get rid of their only competition which was OKC

    • @MoXy33

      Talent wise they were above the spurs. Overall they still werent as good. They were a bad matchup for the spurs(speed and length vs game sense and experience) With westbrook they could never be a real threat.
